  1. Does Clearview FCU Report Authorized Users ? I just wrapped up a Chapter 7 BK I am ready to start rebuilding my credit. I have not applied for anything yet. I want to get added as an AU to boost my score before I start applying for 1 auto loand and 2 CC's - prob Cap1 and Credit One My friend (different name & address) offered to add me as an AU to his Clearview FCU CC (Seasoned with good payment history) I called Clearview two times and they said that AU's do report the same as the cardholder. Can anyone confirm that Clearview FCU does report AU's ? Is there any way I can find out for sure ?
  2. If someone has a PSECU Credit Card, Signature Loan and Auto Loan which are all Cross/Collateral - meaning you have to pay for all the loans off to get your car title. Can you reaffirm your car loan in a BK in this situation? Is it up to the bank? Will they likely let you keep the car or likely take it? The amount owed is exactly the KBB value. thanks
  3. If you state your income as higher than it might be on a credit card or loan application: (with no verification of income required) For example, maybe your income fluctuates, If you make your payments for several months or years, then fall on hard times and are no longer able to continue making your payments. 1) Do the banks work with you? 2) Do they look into this? 3) Can you be accused of anything.
  4. Am I missing any banks that give generous approvals that typically pull TU only?

  6. Can an AA negatively affect your credit score? Anyone have specific examples of Adverse Actions? What Banks might do it? What exactly will they do?
  7. 8. Her father is retired Marine Corps (I apologize for the typo, I have much respect for our military members) My father is a retired Vet, but not a member of NFCU I sent them 7 documents proving proof of residence and that I live with my gf. They unlocked all of her accounts. We asked for a call back from the security dept. They did not call me back and all of my accounts are still locked, hers are fine. I'm not sure what else they will need from me at this point. Do you have to provide VOI to be a member and keep you accounts open? My 2010 taxes are not done and 2009 won't support my apps. P.S. Nothing was mentioned as far as changed with my report, and I never disputed those inquiries.
  9. The Security Dept is grilling me. They said they need to verify my address and that I live with my gf. They say I need to provide proof of income. The guy is really beating me up. Whats the worst that could happen, say if I refuse to provide income verification. I don't like being treated like this.
  10. Does Alliant allow you to apply for credit products with the same inquiry that you use to join? Or do they need multiple inquiries
  11. my sponsor: girlfriend aka domestic partners - her father was in the marine corp Could that actually matter?
  12. Anyone heard of this? I can't access any of my checking, savings or credit cards. I'm a new member, they approved me for $10K card when I joined and a second $10K card 3 days ago. The day I am supposed to get access to the second card, they lock every account that I have. I have NO access to funds. They did this to my sponsor as well who I joined under. I have to call the fraud dept between 9am and 3pm tomorrow. I have not late payments and nothing negative on credit reports or anywhere. I am so confused. WTF Anyone seen a bank tie up all your accounts before? Thanks
  13. I have myfico, creditchecktotal, usaa monitoring, and all 3 bureaus monitoring. Utilization seems to very often be screwed up. I try to do my own calculation then judge it against theirs. Sometimes TU will count a revolving as other or installment account, or vice versa, sometimes it hurts and sometimes it helps. All the different monitoring and scoring services even come up with different utilization numbers for the same bureau. And CCT updates faster than myfico most of the time, Equifax monitoring seems to have the quickest response for updating inquiries, for balances it really depends on when you creditor reports and when the bureau updates. Try to do the math yourself the best you can Balance (divided by) Limits on all revolving. I learned a ROUND ROBIN TRICK TOO! Example: ----------- BALANCE --- LIMIIT --- DUE DATE ACCOUNT A $1,000 $1,000 1ST ACCOUNT B $5,000 $10,000 15TH ACCOUNT C $3,000 $4,000 25TH ---------------------------------------------- Limits: $15K , Balance: $9K, UTILIZATION: ( Bal $9K / Limit $15K ) = .6 OR 60% Utilization and 40% Available If you dont have $9K to pay down your balances. Borrow $5K from B to pay C by the 25th, then Borrow $1K from C to pay A by the 1st, then Borrow $5K from A and C to pay B by the 15th, This will give you a 0 utilization from your CRA update of paying off B (a few days after your cycle date), till the reporting of C (a few days after the cycle date) This could be 10 to 15 days or more. YOUR UTILIZATION WILL BE AT ZERO PERCENT - EVEN THOUGH YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY THEM OFF The best utilization to be at is 7% in my opinion and based on myfico. 0% utilization scores are normally lower than 7% utilization scores, and I always have a higher score with a very small balance. Bonus Points: You can change your dues dates and cycle dates (cycle is normally 3 days after due date) If you change your due / cycle dates and payoff one card at a time, using convenience checks or cash advances, you can get your utilization WAAAY Down. And this affects your score more than almost anything else. It may cost a few bucks, but a higher credit score or lower rates, can pay for itself over a short time. Hope this helps.
