  1. The real problem? Care to elaborate? Or will you describe something else unrelated like you have already proven to do?
  2. If I'm looking to PIF every month, there's no point in having a credit card, right? I am looking to make a large purchase soon and will need a credit card to do so. I don't want to apply for another card just to wind up in the same situation after the 0% offer ends...with another high APR. I wasn't looking for another card with a temporary 0%. I was looking for insight on whether a lower APR can be accomplished with my existing card or not. I don't need to be lectured on what I should do with a card. Not to be rude like you were in this post but. ...the best you will be able to do is a0% intro card. ..maybe qs ...for the record there is no reason to be a prick when you are asking for helpHyschmied responded with an answer I didn't ask for. The card was 0% already and moved to 23% after 12 months. I'm not going to keep doing the same song and dance while racking up inquiries...while having no age on all these high APR. Not to mention, I already have a QS. I'm not some credit line whore looking for a ton of sub prime cards. So perhaps if Hyschmied actually answered the question I initially had, I wouldn't have responded in such a way. EDIT: directed towards wrong person. EDIT: thanks to the other folks that answered my question. Perhaps I'll just wait until I buy a house later this year and shoot for a better card.

  4. I'm aware that the majority of this discussion is approvals, CLI, and combinations... But, has anyone been able to talk their APR down to something not astronomical? I started with a platinum and a QS1, both with $2500 limits and 23% APR in June 2014. In January of this year, I hit the luv button on both cards and wound up getting $5k out of each. A couple of days later, I combined both to the QS1 and was satisfied with the $10k overall limit. However, the APR and annual fee was still bothering me. So, I called in about a week ago to PC to a QS and was approved...with the same APR. I just got off the phone with customer service and they want a large purchase and 6-9 months of "more" than the minimum payment being made on the card before I would be considered for a permanent decrease in APR. They then offered a 7 month 20% APR, which obviously does nothing to help in the long run. Has anyone had any success in negotiating a permanent lower APR with Cap1? I refuse to make a large purchase at 23% in order to prove to them that I deserve a lower rate...
  5. This really screwed me. I'm probably going to be more inclined to file for BK7 to get everything removed if I can't fix this.
  6. Has anyone had any success with this stuff yet?
  7. I am dealing with the same issue and had confirmed with a CSR over the phone that my collections notice was a mistake. Now the "notes" on my account are missing and the CSR I just spoke with hung up on me.
  8. Bringing this back... Still trying to figure this one out. This is my last baddie! (amongst a couple that are in work still -__- )
  9. Yeah it took me about a month to get a response back from the AG. That was the only place I filed a complaint with and just them alone caused AA to disappear.
  10. Back in May I paid of an outstanding debt with Daniel's Jewelers since they were reporting the account as open with it being in "internal collections". I was trying to refi my house so that was one of the stipulations to get it done. I pulled my TU today and it shows this: DANIELS JEWELERS #*********** CUSTOMER SERVICE PO BOX 3750 CULVER CITY , CA 90231 (310) 665-2110 Balance: $0 Date Updated: 05/2011 High Balance: $325 Credit Limit: $487 Past Due: $0 Pay Status: >Payment After Charge Off/Collection< Account Type: Revolving Account Responsibility: Individual Account Date Opened: 02/2003 Date Closed: 05/2011 Date Paid: 04/2011 Loan Type: Charge Account Remark: >Paid profit and loss< Estimated date that this item will be removed: 03/2018 I accidentally closed my EX but it is showing the same date for removal. DOFD is Aug 2003. Shouldn't it fall off? Or am I missing something here.
  11. I called the generic 800 number for MPM to verify enrollment with them and asked if they were offering discount codes. So the site that must be used is www.myprivacymatters.com code is 594016
