Sunday, unexpectedly, we lost one of our own.  After a sudden diagnosis of liver cancer just two days before, our very own mama Breeze lost her battle with this disease and passed away on Sunday afternoon.   She passed peacefully surrounded by her family.

We know that many of you will be as devastated as we are to learn of this, and we know that you will share in our grief.  We will be in the Feedback forum with you, sharing our memories and our tears.  We encourage you to join us there.

We started on this journey fifteen years ago - breeze, Pam, LKH, and radi8.  Through everything that has transpired over the past fifteen years, we have always remained family - and Mama breeze was an integral part of that family.  We will be posting additional information here, as much as we can while still respecting her desire for privacy and anonymity.  For now, while we process our grief, we will close this notice with Godspeed, Mama.  We miss you so much already.

EQ Deleted my home address a few days ago

All derogs were originally associated with previous address. A few followed to new address as dofd was right after the move.

It was on my report on 9/12 and then gone on 9/19. CCT trial pulls. I guess when one of the derogs reports it will be back on then?

EQ Deleted my home address a few days ago

Thank you. I did opt out. I see about deleting old addresses but I should have current address on reports correct? As a side note, every derog on my report was originally opened at a singe previous address.
  4. Equifax seems to have mysteriously deleted my home address a few days ago. I am wondering what to do about it, if anything. I am getting ready to begin repair in the Spring after SOL date and have many charge offs associated with current address. There still remains my previous address from 5 years ago that is associated with a couple derogs though my current deleted address is associated with most of those. My business address which NFCU uses as a mailing address for banking, secured card and new SSL is now listed first on EQ. I plan on trying for a Discover Secured in a month or so and since they pull EQ usually, may that become an issue in terms of identifying me? Again, I am awaiting my SOL in March / April to begin genuine repair on my CR's. What to do?
  5. Thanks. This month will be the opposite but I see your logic here. TX. My EQ score may get a decent little boost when the my UTL goes way down including the new 3.5k NFCU SSL which is payed down to 8% I am still a ways away from "good scores" but a couple years of positive, perfect history should help when I get there.
  6. Thanks man... good advice. I know there are very few CU's that graduate. I have found a couple out there that say they do but it was a hard on EX so I stayed away. The better CU's PenFed will be left alone until I start being creditworthy again. So doing that prequal (and getting a card) with CapOne won't invite and AA being that I have a 4.5 YO CO with them? The CO was actually for a HSBC rewards card I had that was purchased by CapOne shorty before the swift and brutal downfall from 800 to 450. I will add that I want to do this right... no store cards, no subprime unsecured CCs etc. There are some others like First National but am not sure about them even though they say they graduate. I have a very long term view of my credit and want it to come out right for me and my fam.
  7. I would definitely like a Discover Secured. I was waiting for that one until my SSL reports and my NFCU reports a zero balance. I figured I would get a bit of a score boost first. My thought was to add a CU secured first, let that report a zero balance and then go for Discover. I have no history with Discover or BofA, Cap One was one of my charge offs when the S%#t hit the fan in early 2014. I think Navy will be good to me at some point. I have perfect history and we run 800k through them a year on the business side now.
  8. I have zero aside from NFCU. Actually I do have 5k business rewards card @ BCU that reports to EQ. That has been carrying a $3,000 +/- balance but will be paid in full starting this month and every month going forward. I kind of had that almost sock drawered for years auto paying the minimum but recently re-realized that it was reporting to my personal EQ so now this card will be used and paid off every month. I kind of ignored it because it is not reporting to any business reports. That is a 12 year old acct. "and six years worth of vitriol for my posts on CB." Funny!
  9. Understood. Just trying to add a secured card. Utilization will be 0% for NFCU Secured card... New NFCU Shared Secured loan will be 8%. I have had many of these CU memberships for 10-12 years aside from NFCU and a couple others. I will likely close a couple but will leave the rest open for when negs start dropping off. I am just 5 months away from SOL (5 years) on derogs so am not doing anything as yet to deal with those. I was trying to join some CU's that are apparently easy to obtain Secured Visa's... the joining seemed to be the issue! As for cash flow, that is not an issue now as business is back and growing with perfect credit by the way.
  10. Called to recon... no help, would not share reason for denial. Can't approve membership at this time". I don't think I am in Chex. Could be my report but for a CU who supposedly does not check credit for a secured Visa, denying membership based on credit is a bit strange.
  11. I have been denied membership from a couple CU's in the last week. The idea was to go after their Secured cards. Looking for other ideas and whether to try to recon my membership denials. 1) Denied SDFCU due to not being able to confirm my address. Uploaded my lease but that was not good enough. Member services said to talk to "new accounts" but could not transfer me to that mysterious division. They said to stop by a branch but I said that it was quite a long drive into a potential hurricane to do so. She thought that amusing anyway. The pulled an EX Hard. 2) Affinity CU: Denied Membership seemingly for the same reasons. Have not called yet. They also said to stop by a branch... 900 miles away. I went for this one due to the fact they seemingly pull soft for membership and for their secured card. Soft pull apparently at application last Friday. CU's I have: DCU - Member for 2 years. A bit hesitant to pull this trigger. (yet anyway) Elements Financial CU: Talked to a loan department person, they said to try and that they have approved in the 400's She gave me her direct line to call when savings account was funded and she would get it to underwriting... NuVision: Member for two years, I heard they approve but don't report to TU CAFCU: Long time member, denied for Secured Card with soft pull. Said I need to clean my entire report first... pay all CO's. When these all fall off, I will not need a Secured card... Their secured CC looks great but apparently is about as hard to get as their unsecured offerings which was not what I heard from a member services rep. prior to applying. Their hideous banking interface and unworkable local branch hours might force me to cut the cord. PenFed: Member for 10 years, never really used them, just kept it active. Even before my disaster in early 2014 (750-800 Ficos) I was always afraid to apply with them... Did not want to be an Egyptian. Can't imagine they'd have me at the moment. Antigo CU: Joined last week for a local CU to replace CAFCU. Approved checking, savings etc. They do not advertise a Secured CC. They do offer a no pull SSL though! No hard for membership NFCU: I have a secured nRewards card with a $5k limit and now a $3.5K SSL paid down to 8%. We also have all business accounts there and I have not a single complaint. Perhaps my card will unsecure one day soon! Details: Real FICO 08 scores just over 550 but expect them to go up a bit when the SSL reports as well as my 0% UTL on NFCU card (Was at 28%). There are 4.5 year old CO's and a few old CA's on reports. Good payment history since adding secured card 23 months ago. Just looking to add a couple lines with an eye on the future. I can wait for a bit of a score bump as I have a couple years until I am out of credit hell. Wish list: A Secured Card with a decent CU Discover Secured. At least one more revolver, preferably two would be great to have over the next couple years to go along with my NFCU products.

Close to SOL, will a SSL poke the bears?

It was a secured hase loan (SSL) and it went right through without docs or any pull. Highly recommended product!

Close to SOL, will a SSL poke the bears?

To add to and correct the following: Midland Funding LLC. Both opened 1/2015 (I looked at my files today and I have received 6-7 "pre-legal action letters on each collection, the last one was dated 7-2017, the latest letters from 14 months ago offered a 70% off deal. I obviously did not take it and I have never responded, talked to them etc.) The two Sync CO's remain stating "charged off" and "closed" DOFD in 2-2014 and 3-2014
