  1. Sallie Mae is still saying 10 years from date of last activity....still havent dropped the lates from my report. 9/2002 is the date of last activity
  2. They were transferred, they are in good standing with balances owed. They are listed twice on my credit report...because they were transferred to another lender. A little brief history here: The loans had gone into default a couple of years ago. I got them out of default, rehabbed, and they have been okay ever since. I just want that late payment history removed from my report, because it is listing about 80 lates! There were 9 loans and they have a years worth of lates for each loan.

  4. alright...im an salamander, but which pull does CCT stand for?
  5. Ive just heard that it will be 7 years +180 days after the date of last activity....does anyone else have any input on this subject.
  6. I have disputed some late payment history that is reporting on my report by sallie mae. The date of last activity was 09/2002. So 7 years has passed and this late payment history is still being reported to the bureaus. I understand that the loan will remain for 10 years but the negative info should be removed after 7 ....right? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Thanks Centex. I feel much better knowing that....6months to wait and credit score should be on the rise again!
  8. I would like some help with a problem that i have with some student loans. I have loans still showing on my credit report, my main reason for getting them removed is due to the fact that they have a lot of late payment history associated with them. The date of last activity is 9/2002, there is no balance. But this is the statement that the credit bureau sent to me concerning the accounts. "The results are: Equifax verified that this item belongs to you. Your concern regarding this item has been noted on the credit file. Paid as agreed accounts that have been paid in full will automatically be deleted ten years after date of last activity. If you have additional questions about this item please contact: Sallie Mae LSCF, 1002 Arthur Dr, Lynn Haven FL 32444-1683" All I really want is the late payment history removed, I thought they would be able to be removed this year...(7year reporting will expire) But they are saying 10 years.....how do I go about handling this? Thanks in advance
  9. I have readmany of the posts speaking on how difficult Sallie Mae can be about removing late payment history after rehabing student loans. I was wondering if anyone has every had any success with them? I have have read some posts where people have had late payment history removed after successful completion of rehab process. I rehabed my loans over a year ago. I still have late payment history on 9 loans. will I be wasting my time trying? Also, does anybody have any suggestions on a company to consolidate with? Personal experiences only please.....Thanks very much
  10. This is a prepaid visa card that I used once during a holiday for a car rental. At the time I had no credit cards. Anyway they put 90 lates on my credit report. The card was reported lost/stolen in May and closed in June. There was finance charge of $3.88. I sent to the company to clear the account. They said it was complete. When I pulled my credit report I noticed the first late on my report. I contacted them and they said to resend the payment, it was a problem in one of their departments because the cards was listed as Lost/stolen and the payment was returned. They stated that the lates would be removed no problem. I again sent the payment in and the same thing happened, but they assurred me they would write notes on my account and remove the lates when they received the payment. Long story short after I did this for a thrid time it was finally accepted....but of course they did not remove the lates even though I was assurred that they would be corrected, since it was no fault of mine. Well they never did and I have called and called and sent letters to their credit disputes department with no results...and it is smashing my credit score right now, because the lates are listed as April May and June of 2008. I am wondering if anybody has any suggestions as to get this removed....all suggestions are welcome....This company has pissed me off and I am going to win this battle..no matter what. I just sent them a DV. I am going to dispute it. 1-2 punch...... Any tactics would be much appreciated!!! Thanks in Advance
  11. HIp HIp Hooray...it worked and this collection is now removed from all of my credit reports!!!!
  12. No, this one is a valid debt...it is for only 60.00 dollars. They sent the bill to the wrong address. Anyway, I sent the Hipaa letter to the original creditor. With a bank money order for the balance.
  13. I followed your steps with the pre-Hipaa letter, then letter to OC with the bank money order, CMRR. It is going on two weeks and no return receipt yet, and the bank said they dont check if funds have been cashed until after 90 days. And I know for a fact that it only takes one day for a letter to get to the location in question (two days tops) ......so why havent I received the return receipt..... DOnt know what to do next...
