About To Refi - New collection
hegemony replied to usermi's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
you should ask the mods to edit your post if that is your real MD and reference codes (the BCZ...) (and even the amount). have you spoken with a mortgage broker? Some may not require small collections to be paid depending on the mortgage program you are applying for. Also, IIRC small medical collections are not scored for most versions of FICO (my memory is not 100% on this so double check). The four major CRAs won't care about a letter provided by the consumer from a CA. The CRAs will go by what the data furnisher provides them . I would not trust a line in an email. So you have two related, issues here. The collection itself and how best to get it addressed and the mortgage. For the former, see WhyChat's guide and for the mortgage, remember that paying a collections will not necessarily improve your FICO scores but you will probably have to pay it to be approved. But without feedback from a mortgage professional, you are just guessing that paying it is both needed and helpful. @cv91915can chime in with better advice than I can regarding the underwriting of a mortgage refi. -

AmEx, Citi Dangle Bevy of Perks to Antsy Premium Card Customers

sounds like a smart move. On JPMR I've already gotten $60 (doordoosh) and $300 travel credit and I am getting the pusaton credit ($120 total) and my global entry needs renewing this year ($100) so I'll be at $580 before the value of UR, chase offers, and the (not very highly valued) United Club. Spouse has C$R and will max the doordoosh, travel, and pusaton credit but will need to hunt for additional bennies to offset the AF this year. -

hegemony replied to get.randy's topic in Credit Forum
so Gemini acquired Blockrize which earlier (circa 2018) announced a similar (pending) credit card product. I wonder if this one will get off the ground; I didn't dig deep enough to see what bank will be the card partner. -
apple is reporting for me. some have reported success with apple CLI requests (not sure if it is a soft or not) so that may be an option for you to hit your goal.

Citi is an easy soft too (it will ask you for an additional step if it wants to pull a hard). that is a very nice CLI from BOA!!! congrats!

The general convention is to never apply for any credit related product when you're expecting to have a mortgage funded. If there is an inquiry or the account reports as a new tradeline it may complicate the process. good luck on the mortgage!
