  1. Is it faster to call in and get addresses deleted? If so, does anyone have the number to equifax to talk to a live rep?
  2. Congrats OP!!!! What was your method to dispute the addresses associated did you call direct to credit bureaus or you did online?
  3. The above numbers however are automated numbers. I'm seeking a numbers to talk to an actual person...
  4. I'm disputing old addresses for my mom. Can anyone help with up to date numbers to call and update this info? Thank you
  5. 1. She could try again. No reason for them to have blacklisted her unless she was trying to scam them the first time she joined. 2. Why wouldn't your mom's home address match her bank statement address? Are you saying she no longer lives at the same address she had when she joined Navy? Smells fishy. 1. On sis do you suggest retry new way and burn a few inquires or should she call again and find out why it was just completely turned down without reason? I'd just hate for her to flush 2 inq down the drain if they want even look at 2nd because she's had an access # given to her (mind you this was 2-3 yrs ago she got access # so not sure how long the keep files) Suppose she could call. But inquiries are no big deal. Besides, there's no way her old credit card is still alive so she will have to burn at least one inquiry for a credit card application. Thanks
  6. The soft pull only works through online for Citi? Is it pretty guaranteed that it will be soft or do they do an occasional hard? I've had the citi for a year now and I think it's time to see if I can CLI . AFAIK, it's a hard if you call. Online, it all depends on the language when you make the request. It will clearly say they are going to pull a report if its going to be a hard. Try through your login first. If it says a report is needed, search for the Citi Soft Pull CLI Link thread. You can also call Citi and ask if you have a SP CLI available. Thnx for this info The soft pull only works through online for Citi? No scam, I will get her to try this new way 2. Mom & NFCU member stays together. The physical they use where they stay is what she had to use to obviously verify they stay in same home. She had a P.O. Box that she had prior to physical where she is now that her bank statements still come to. She's never updated the statements to come to her physical. The only reason I wanted her to wait on applying was if they ask for copy of dl/bank statement etc and it don't match it may freeze it, I just didn't want her to have to encounter any hucups.
  9. 2 scenarios that maybe someone can lend some advice too... 1) My sister had a nfcu member living in her home for 2 years. She applied became a member, got instant 20k cc approval then froze, they said bring requested info into a branch 3.5hrs away. Went to branch, they called head qtrs, head qtrs say thy want unfreeze, no explanation NOTHING! Question...nfcu member who lived w/her has moved...should she try this new San Diego option or waste of time based on first submission? Only thing I can think of they rejected her because they didn't like "member in same household" reason for joining. 2) Now my mom has a membership because the same nfcu member who stayed with sis now stays with her. She got membership over a year ago but never applied for anything. Shyed away from applying because her bank statement address doesn't match her home address (never have gotten around to updating), when they request you bring info to branch they typically want a bank statement so I didn't want her app to be rejected. Question-she's ready to apply for a product, should she correct address on bank statement again or should she redo ALL over and reapply using San Diego.
  10. Congrats. Exactly what was your method of disputing with TU? Did u call or mail certified? How long did it take? Is Transunion doing the same thing as EX? If so this could be great for me!!!
  11. Citi Double Cash is the best 2% cash back rewards card around that I have found. No limits and everything counts towards 2%. I use that along with the 5% cards (Discover IT, Chase Freedom, US Bank Signature). And the 3% groceries from Amex Everyday Cash. $6,000 annual cap. Spouse and I each have for a total of $12,000 annual spend on groceries with 3% cash back. Citi, Amex and Discover all do soft pulls for credit limit increase requests. They also each provide a monthly free FICO score. Citi (EQ), Discover (TU), Amex (EX). I have a Amex through PenFed would that still work or it would need to be direct with Amex?
