  1. I have gone from a mid 500 credit score to: mid 700's across the board NFCU: Visa/MC/car loan/unsecured $15,000 loan USAA MC Discover $200,000 home loan with the VA help of course And many more but none that are worth bragging about! I owe so much to the people of this board for their help and words of encouragement to motivate me to go after these things and get them. Thanks again for all the help, keep up the good work everyone!!!! Shane
  2. I must agree, that spreadsheet is AMAZING!!!!!! I love using it and changing the percentages for minimum payments and usage and everything! Very excited to see and use the new one! thanks for the hard work that you have put into the old one and n ow the much anticipated new one! Shane
  3. You must be patient young grasshopper! All good things with NFCU come with time!!!!!
  4. Congrats on the progress....keep it up and before you know it you will have 3 clean reports!!!
  5. ha ha ha....called GEICO to see if they could save me hundreds a year. First question: "Who is your current carrier?" USAA. "Sir, we won't beable to come close to their rates, do you REALLY want me to continue with the quote?" No thanks, have a good day! I love USAA and NFCU! Sorry: 30 year old single male, 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT, 6 speeding tickets in the last three years, full coverage: $52 a month.
  6. Sounds Good Peter!!!
  7. Thanks for the heads up on the CLI's....looks like I will be calling Chase shortly!!!!
  8. I agree with the above....DON'T GET RID OF DISCOVER!!!!!!! They are awesome.
  9. That's actually a delayed email from your original application. I always ignore the first Navy Fed Message Waiting email after an app, as its just delayed in being sent. As for me, it takes on average 3-4 days for a response. I agree with the above. Delayed response, then just kept checking and found approval before the next email came through.
  10. Don't forget to tell them if they fail to respond within 30 days of the notice you will assume the debt is valid. bahhahahahahahaha!!! That is awesome!
  11. soldierboy, mine stayed like this for a month! I finally called the Military Star number to see what was up, and she said I was supposed to speak with a chat representative after I submitted the application. I was like WTF?? So I went online and got a chat representative, who said she couldn't tell me any more info about it. But the next day, when I tried to call the 800 number, it said I now had TWO apps, and an INQ finally showed up on my credit report. Apparently if you don't talk with a chat agent, its not finalised or something? A day or two after checking the 800 number when the 2nd app showed up, the 800 number told me I was approved. I got the double application letter from Chase. When I tried to call they did not even know what card I was talking about. I have an active duty military alert on my EX report and they just happened to call me the next day to verify info.....sorry I left that part out!
  12. My bad....mine is the open roads with the 5% gas/automotive rebate.......
  13. Heidiroo: From what I was told by the STAR and Chase folks is it will in fact be two seperate TL's. I was given a STAR with a $2,300 (?) and a Chase MC with a $4,000 limit. Has to report as two lines since I have two account numbers. Soldierboy: I used to have a car loan from Chase and already had a login to their website. I checked it and saw it there before I got the card. However, you can't setup a login without the full card number. But try that phone number and let me know if it worked for you.
  14. Heidiroo: when I got this card they opened a new STAR account for me that is linked to the MC. the new STAR and MC numbers are on the new card. My original STAR card is still seperate from this one. Did that make any sense? Soldierboy: I don't think there is a number that you can call. I found out when they did an identity check over the phone with me. I also got a new STAR card sent about 1 1/2 weeks before I got the MC. Hope that helps. That article was an interesting read. However, I think AAFES will win out in the end.......
  15. bosoxfan....if no one has told you lately.....YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!
