  1. You could also do combo BBB/your+their state AG complaints. I know with LVNV and all the Sherman Shams that this finally worked for me after the 3rd time complaining.

  3. Could you tell more about who you wrote these letters to or what was in them? Ive only sent 4 letters and get the typical "we are reporting accurate" spindoctored FCRA response.

They stick to parroting that its a "law" they cant remove "accurate info" Each subsequent response correcting them by saying that if they report info that it must be accurate and that they do have the ability and legal backing to delete it is simply met with the same response not even answering or acknowledging their incorrect view of the law in that respect.
  5. What did your complaint with the SC AG include? I *JUST* had both my LVNV accounts deleted using the "they're not a factoring company, that's a federal violation" argument with the SC AG. Could you elaborate on how you went about this? I used the same argument with the SC AG and LVNV simply responded with some Geronimo answer as to why they are a factoring company and the AG unsurprisingly did nothing
  6. Judgements are usually verified through LexisNexis, and not the courts themselves (from the CRAs standpoint at least) So you would want to order your complete LN profile and dispute those judgments before disputing any of them with the CRAs.
  7. I ordered my "complete profile" using the mail in form and disputed everything on it. Most of the reports show the exact same thing. I received a response back from the risk solutions report today and one other last week, forgot its name. but for me at least it seems they are heeding my disputes. Now to help my dad dispute his BK 13 on all the LN reports so he can get it removed from all CRAs
  8. Ohh yeah I know the whole idea of universal default hasn't gone away even under CARD. When I got this account it was because of a glitch causing my EQ file to split putting all my baddies on a report that wouldnt pull, I took that chance to apply for a few cards and got them all, it seems the other two i got were prime enough not to participate in such asinine review polices. It just so happens that during the first review of my account my file split again so in February when they did a "hard review" of the account It wouldnt have shown the one baddie I have remaining that showed up in this months review.
  9. 3 hards in all 2 of which after I opened the acocunt. I actually emailed them about the first hard after opening the account and they said it was part of the account review, but they hard pull on 5-10 resulted in the balance chase. It was a 6k line that was cut to 4100 (my balance is 3600 now) I have charged it up to that much and made a few payments of $1000 over the months to bring the balance back under $1000-$1500 which I guess is extremely risky to them and smells highly of potential default
  10. The first time they did a hard pull apart from opening the account on 12-28-11 was 02/16/12 there was no preceding soft for that. However for the 05-10-12 hard pull there was a preceding soft for 05-04-12. Im guessing I should close this account if this is how they do reviews.
  11. Who all has a Cabelas visa (Worlds Foremost) and has gotten hard inquiries after the account has been opened? I noticed another hard inquiry from them yesterday only to log into my account today and see that they are balance chasing. So I guess if I want to keep this card they will just chase it down to nothing, screwing my credit up even more with hard pulls along the way.

Can you tell us some more info about the debt?
  13. I never really had much hope for CFPB, just a "feel good" group. Protect yourself as consumer, no one else really cares about you. The status quo is in place to benefit the people that benefit from the status quo that is in place [Ad infinitum] It will always be that way.
