  1. I picked up my car on Wednesday! Was approved with no problem at all. Got 4.2% rate (60 months) from FMCC (which is lower than the 4.9 they advertise) plus the $500 FMCC rebate. So happy with my new car!
  2. Thanks Marv! Appreciate it. I'll reply back if I get approved (when the car comes in about a month or so).
  3. Yes. I definitely did sign up for it. I have the Focus on order already... I just want to make sure I can get approved for a loan without a co-signer. Thanks for the heads up!

  5. Absolutely. And if you're younger than 25, the cheapest you'll pay is around $100 a month.
  6. Thanks! I got the car for only $7995 and got a 3 year bumper to bumper extended warranty so I don't have to worry about anything breaking down... the car is in EXCELLENT condition.. it honestly looks new. And the car runs great.... you honestly wouldn't tell it's an 03. The dealer fixed the brakes (the only thing wrong with the car) today and I drove a brand new Nissan Altima as a loaner while the brakes were being fixed... Sure it was nicer, but I couldn't really tell a difference. It would have been nice to get something newer but it really wasn't in my price range since I am on a limited budget due to being a student. I figure I'll buy a brand new car in a few years anyway when I get a full time job after school and I'll just trade this one in.

My grandpa (who has perfect credit) cosigned the loan, which is why I got an excellent rate. I got a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty as well. I was a referral from a higher up that works at the dealer so I got special treatment.
  8. Just wanted to pop back in and say I got approved with a cosign! I ended up borrowing 10k and got it at 6.4%! It was for a 2003 Mazda 6 (I got a 3 year bumper to bumper extended warranty). $191 for 60 months.
  9. Thanks! So with a qualified co-signer, would their income become a factor as well? Thus eliminating my income issue?
  10. Hello, I currently have a 1995 Cavalier that's slowly falling apart. And since I have to travel three hours each way when commuting to and from school a couple times a month, I need a reliable used car. I know my income isn't as high as it should be to get a loan, but I virtually have no expenses besides insurance ($50 a month) and my cell phone. Thank you so much!
  11. I really hope National City doesn't go under! They've been great to me..
  12. I noticed the no-love button thing right away when I signed on! I miss the old site.
  13. Nooooo! I'd rather keep National City anyday. 5/3 does NOT impress me one bit. Although their branch is literally a block away from me I'd rather drive a few minutes to get to my local National City branch.
  14. It still looks like the mtvU card is a better choice...
  15. When my DW had 2 months credit history with 1 card reporting I (stupidly) applied for her and luckily they turned her down. Phew!!! Thank goodness!
