  1. I've had no trouble with Sync and CLI's. They are all maxed at $25-35k. But this new Crap1 thing is making me just as sick to my stomach as walking into an actual Walmart.😝
  2. I just searched and only saw a handful of people getting this recently. So I'm not sure if Target is sending these out to a wave of people or not. I've had the card since 2009 with a $1k limit. Never really used it much except to keep it open. My last purchase in a year was their caramel popcorn. I highly recommend giving it a try. lol What was strange is that last month they sent out a letter increasing my limit from $1k to $1.6k. Then about 3 weeks later they sent me the upgrade to the creditcard (don't recall which product), and a limit increase to $6k.
  3. Android has had videocalling as well. Don't think I've ever called an Iphone user on my android. I'm gonna see what happens. edit: Just tried videocalling an Iphone user and it didn't work. 😕
  4. I tried clicking but got blocked for malware. Even my computer knows that card is a disease.

    Chase LOL

I seem to recall once that Amex was a jealous whore. I'm wondering if Chase is starting to want monogamy as well.

    Chase LOL

Got my "semi-denial" letter for my CLI I requested. I say that because I had a $4,500 initial CL on my Amazon, and 7 months later I requested $25k. I got the 7-10day message, but they called me the next day and countered with $10k. I just got a letter in the mail stating they were sorry they couldn't approve the full amount because: Insufficient utilization of current credit line. You have too many active accounts or too much available credit. They scored me at 805. Over the past 7 months, I've run up the total credit line to 30% once or twice, and used the card for Amazon purchase quite extensively. So much so that I've had balances reported because I was using it almost every day and couldn't get it paid to 0 fast enough. I'm not sure how much they want me to run up the CL to satisfy the first comment. However, the second excuse was amusing..........
  7. Admittedly, for most people, they likely are not coming close to spending $3K annually on gas, so the difference between capped and uncapped is a moot point. I suspect I am an outlier with an average expenditure of $300-$500 per month on gas. I DECIDED TO TRACK MY FUEL SPENDING IN 2018 AND THUS FAR WE'VE SPENT JUST ABOUT $530. THIS INCLUDES SOME $8 A GALLON 100 OCTANE. quarter mile at a time or 100LL for a single-engine? JUST GETTING HIGH COMPRESSION TO PRODUCE MORE... NO RACING. Perhaps convert to ethanol so you can get 105 octane at only $2.80-ish/gal? It's not hard to convert. I LIKE ORIGINAL NOT RESTOMOD YOU CAN MESS AROUND WITH HIGH COMPRESSION AND ADD RACE FUEL, BUT ADD MORE ETHANOL TO STANDARD PUMP GAS AND ALL THE SUDDEN IT'S "RESTOMOD"? Remember that, in the days before the unleaded crap was foisted upon the public, high octane was simply one of the options at the pump. Nowadays, you practically have to go to your local airport's FBO to get 100LL. There was a time where that was simply 'gas' and not 'race fuel' (and was under 40 cents a gallon). Yup, I recall seeing that near the end. Even Sonoco had 100 octane I believe until recently. However, these days you can easily convert to E85 to get 105 octane simply by oversizing your injectors by 30%, or increasing your pulsewidth if you have that capability. Most modern ECU's don't even recognize the fuel difference and simply advance the timing map to its full potential.

  10. I'd shoot for 91 days. Especially since it's a SP.
  11. Yup, FOAD and make sure you state they may NOT contact you over the phone at home or at your business. Send right away CM.
  12. Most of the southern states selected have a much higher minority rate.
  13. Why would you get a loan at 7-12% through a credit union when at that score you may be able to get a high limit credit card at 0% for 18 months? I'm betting one of the CU's in your area, maybe even your own, will give you that card. FYI, If you tell them you want to use the sig loan to pay off your cards, then they'll classify it as a debt consolidation loan. Don't do that or they'll require you close all your accounts. If you're really a TX girl, then try RBFCU. They hand out $25k cards at an intro 0% interest, and some crazy low interest after that.
  14. U have a lot of patience. It's been a long road on my credit rebuilding journey and I'm just grateful that Target saw fit to reward me for being so responsible. I think maybe this is the store-card hell some have been talking about? I could be wrong though.

    Store cards

Are the double points at Sephora worth more than say 2% back? Trying to find the cut-off point to justify a store card for DW. All my store cards earn 5% or more. That's my cut-off line. Target 5% BBRZ 6% Lowes 5% Amazon 5% Macy's ~10%

-1 Secured cards will do much more for you than store cards. They CAN hold you back. Also, store cards do not count as a "pry bar" account. -1 Please tell me where I said store cards "do much more" than secured? Seems as though I agreed with the second statement. Where did I say they were "pry bars" for anything? All I was getting at was that they are easy to get, add to FICO utilization and diversity of accounts. Nothing more. You said they were great for rebuilding and newbies which it inaccurate. That is not the way to build a credit profile. It was for me and boosted my scores significantly and almost instantly back when I had a 580. We may disagree, but I'm not inaccurate. Store cards are also not needed for diversity. FICO won't reward you for opening a store card, although they do sometimes generate statements about having too many store accounts. Again, FICO rewarded me for acquiring new store cards. They even included them in my UT when I carried a balance. That's a reward towards FICO in my view. You may not like them. Other people may not like them for not having great rewards. But, FICO liked them and that is fact, not my opinion. Just because a card is easy to get does not mean you should get it. I did not make it a hard rule of thumb that you should get nothing but store cards. I said "typically" they're easier to get. In addition, I would add that you should get one that rewards you and fits your shopping habits. I don't have any store cards that don't reward me in some significant way or another. I'm talking 5% or more.

  18. Updating this as it's been more than 6 months and I did drag my feet a little in asking for a CLI from them. I've put a TON of use into this card as I've been making purchases through Amazon. Probably near $7-10k now since acquiring the card in October and PIF. I did as they instructed by sending a secure message and answering the questions. I got a 7-10 day message, but the next day they called me. The rep asked me all the same questions again to verify employment and salary. Then she shocked me by asking about a "Chase Slate" charge-off I had with them 15yrs ago. Did the Slate exist that long ago? I've never had a Chase card before, but the amount resembles a First National Bank card I had. I'm assuming they took those accounts over and she was given crappy information about the debt in the system. I told her the truth about the situation and afterwards my request to increase my initial $4500 to $25k was countered with $10k as I'm still a "new customer" in their words. That'll do for now. I did take a TU hard for it.
  19. Does Crap1 do A hardpull? No, they do 3.
  20. Holy smokes! The refund amounts and length of time this has been going on is crazy.

    Store cards

Store cards are great for rebuilding and newbies since they are typically easier to get. While they CAN keep you down if you start with bad ones and ONLY have bad ones, they certainly don't do that as a rule. I have about 30% store cards which are made up of the good high limit lenders like Sync ($35k x2), Kay ($10k), Macy's ($17k), etc. Store cards do not hold you back, nor do the big boy lenders or FICO care that you have them. Only that you're using them well.
  22. I've been dragging my feet on this, however I left out the most funny part about the story..... I still have an ATT debit card they mailed me for the refund on my closing balance. I overpaid that last month and rather than refund to my bank, they give you a MC debit card.
  23. Maybe they are selling her full data to marketers? Who knows what was really on the back of that application, but could it be possible that she signed permissible purpose to multiple entities who then distribute her profile to other clients?
  24. Mine doesn't have any fees, otherwise I would have closed it already. I closed mine due to the higher limits rule and the stench that it exhumed to potential high-end lenders.
