  1. What kind of account were you getting them to put back on? It was actually a finance account.... I don't know why I was so worried about it because it was a new account and I wanted the tradeline but they told me something about Experian won't put back on unless they had that info after they removed it...... I had the same experiance with a Macy's account for some reason...... Cool, I suppose that's worth a shot anyway since I also want to get invalid versions of my name deleted anyway. (the latest weird one: C A.)
  2. The OC says that they've done the regular monthly updates on their end as well as one additional "bump" after my conversation with them 2 months ago. How can I find out if it was a "hard delete" and is there anything I can do? If the OC says it should be back on...BUT IS NOT AFTER 90 DAYS At that point, is there anything I can still do, legally or otherwise? Since they deleted an account that I did not ask them to make changes regarding? (The letter that I sent about the invalid duplicates only gave the full account numbers and identifying information, e.g. open/last reported date) of the invalid accounts.
  3. The OC says that they've done the regular monthly updates on their end as well as one additional "bump" after my conversation with them 2 months ago. How can I find out if it was a "hard delete" and is there anything I can do? I've had a similar experience but with a different creditor. I had to actually fax a copy of my dl and soc security card to the creditor to send to experian to put back on. I don't know why I had to do this but it showed back up after that..... What kind of account were you getting them to put back on?

  5. About 3 months ago, I finally got Experian to delete the 2 invalid duplicate listings of my Capital One account. However, they managed, in their infinite wisdom, to delete the valid credit line as well, and it's yet to re-appear even though it's definitely being reported to all 3 credit bureaus since TU and EQ have received an update from Cap1 as recently as last week... What do I do from here? Do I attempt to contact Experian myself to get them to re-add it, and attach a copy of a previous credit report from them showing it when it was still there, as well as a recent statement showing that it's still a valid and in-use card? Capital One says that other than them re-sending it to them from their end again, that they don't know of anything they can do on their end to get Experian to make the TL reappear on my credit report... Grr... (I mean, Equifax decided to change the spelling of my name (changed 1 letter in my maiden name to another letter ) but at least they kept the valid Cap1 account when they deleted the duplicate invalid entry)
  6. This is the first post that I've been able to get to open today without timing out...it took over 5 minutes to get to open
  7. I was able to do an update this morning an hour or so ago, but after that, when I clicked on another tab, the site has been "temporarily available" since then.
  8. So it's a decent card to have? How are they in terms of giving CLIs?
  9. My current cards: Amex - $1000 CL, APR 18.23% Cap1 - $2800 CL, 28.15% Hooters Card (Merrick Bank) - $1000 CL, 25.20% At the same time that I had applied for, and received the Hooters, I also applied for the HSBC card... And it turns out that my application was ultimately accepted and I was sent a card with a $500 credit line. (I don't know what the APR is since that wasn't included with the card) Should I activate the card, since it is HSBC? My current FICO as of 7/19: EX: 597 EQ: 593 TU: 574
  10. I did a few months ago after reading about others who had done the same to get their files to report close to the true limit. I've had a Cap1 card for 2 years and finally got my first CLI a few months ago (from $500 to $2800), but I have never received convenience checks from Cap1, and when I tried to request them, I was told that I wasn't eligible.
