  1. His limit is $7,600.00. No, it's not Chase. It's Providian. They are horrible to deal with, to say the least. I even explained that hubbie lost $20,000.00 in salary, and I had just switched jobs. We didn't miss any payments. We were late - by 3 days - for 3 months and they raised it through the roof. Thanks for all your help. I think I'll look in the Credit Union.
  2. Hi All! Please advise. My hubbie has a cc with $7500 balance, 33% interest, and a credit score 0f 580. Can anyone suggest a cc we can get (I can't - score is 480 due to ex defaulting on joint mortgage) that will be an introductory of 0% - or at least lower than 33%? Any and all suggestions welcomed. We need your help. Thank you
  3. I'm having a lot of problems initiating a new topic, too. Hmmm....wonder if something is wrong with this function or if my newbie self doesn't understand how to do it.
  4. I'll do that now, and check back here . Thank you!
  5. Hi everyone! I'm a newbie, and I have a question (duh!) My hubbie has two cc's with a $7,500.00 balance -/+, and they have raised the interest rate to 32%. His score is 580 (mostly because of these 2 cc's). Mine is 470 (due to divorce and ex defaulting on the mortage - hence foreclosure 4 yrs ago). Are there ANY suggestions for obtaining a cc that will allow us to transfer lower or at an introductory? We rent our home, so we can't do home equity loans. Thank you for all your suggestions and assistance.
  6. Hi everyone! I'm a newbie, too. I have been trying to post a new topic all afternoon, with no luck. I'm trying to get a credit card - to transfer hubbies $7,500.00 balance credit card, but have no idea where to start. My hubbie's credit score is 580. Mine is 470. We are currently paying 33% interest on this darned thing. Any ideas/suggestions would be most appreciated.
  7. Thank you...I am new and this is all so confusing. Hard to understand and ask a question. Hope I can get some help. TY
