  1. Rumors galore after today's bloodbath, but this one is going around in a large way. Rumor is that BofA is going to close CC accounts of anyone under 750 FICO. Just wondering if anyone else had anything substantial? TIA
  2. ADDING A FEE IS A VIOLATION OF CREDIT CARD POLICY Call on the phone...or send an E-MAIL requesting a "CHARGE BACK" of the $1.00 Is this the same policy for AMEX?
  3. Would my CCCU card play nice with my Hooters card???
  4. Thanks for clearifying. Still think it's bogus.
  5. There is a gas station that is advertising different prices for cash and credit. I thought they had to stop doing this?
  6. DWs Red card came Wed - $300. Haven't seen the Visa yet.
  7. DW had the same thing happen to her. I don't know how she paid, but she got another print out with the 'approval'. The cashier said he'd never seen that before. When she got home she asked me if it was for real? I said to apply online and find out. She was approved for the Red & the Visa, but I don't know the limits yet (this was just a couple days ago). Funny cause I can't get a Target Visa, just the red... Oh well, maybe I can get her to add me as an AU
  8. Good tip using the phone automated system. Tried it my Blue and got a my first CLI in months. The Button is long broken for me. Also no hard pull.
  9. I've never seen a fee and I don't have $150 in savings. I do have a balance on the CC however.
  10. The question is "when" Nav..? When'd you apply..? Many (most?) folks had positive experiences earlier on. somewhere around mid-June I think. Posted June 22nd that they had applied the previous week. That was maybe a week or so before I applied, FYI. I applied June 11. My entire experience was smooth as silk. Not long thereafter, however, people on CB were starting to run into problems with NASA. Marky Mark applied in early May, so it's anyone's guess as to how many people applied between his app and about June 27. Probably a lot. My app went through right after the memorial weekend-May 30 and the process was smooth. Charlie was laid back and comical in his request to sign and fax back the agreement. However it took considerable amount of time for them to send and me to receive the card as they waited until my CU deposit cleared completely. My loan officer was Charlie as well. He was great. Unfortunately, he doesn't work at NASA any longer. By the way, by the time he actually got to my application, my savings account had already been funded. So, the card went out the same day as my CC approval. Must have received the card within three days or so. Gigi sounds like a wildcard at this point. She seems both hot and cold -- based on comments from this thread. I had no problem w/Gigi at all. She was extremely helpful to me.
  11. Has anyone tried to convert Delta Gold into Jet Blue? I was thinking of doing this. TIA
  12. Hey Debtfree, What was the verdict? Did you get the amount you asked for? What was your score? You got the card in hand? cool!! I posted details a week ago, but I'll recap as this thread is way long. I asked for $7k as this matched my largest 2 showing limits. They approved but it wasn't instant. Asked for Income and siggy only. I haven't pulled FICO since those in my sig. I had 4 INQs showing with high Util on a couple cards due to nice BT rates. And yes, card is in hand! any baddies? MBNA shows a number of 90s from a few years back, maybe 3-4 years. Current now, but closed. No other baddies.

  14. My experience with Discover was much the same as yours (OP). However I had some success after sending a GW letter, which the reply came back 'we cant do that'. Then I tried another round of disputes just on the 2 Discover 30s I had. Low and behold they dropped off and have stayed off for a couple years. (these Discover lates had not dropped off with previous attempts at 'Not mine'.) Its seemed as this approach was in line with Discovers guidelines. They wont remove the lates outright, but if they know about the situation (GW letter) and then you dispute... you might get some Discover love (they won't verify so they drop off). This is just what happened to me. As always YMMV!
