    Amex Back Date?

I wish D* was still alive too. My AMEX login says "Member Since 1985". That would've left quite a history. But as others have said, I'm just glad to be finally off the BL and back in with them with a new BCE since an unfortunate BK in 1999.
  2. I did one about three years ago, and if IRC it took about 2 weeks to process going through the website not writing a check.
  3. Citi wouldn't give me an Exxon/Mobil gas card 4 years out of bankruptcy. Reason for denial, BK. Wait until the BK clears though, and they'll be all over you with offers if your report is otherwise clean.
  4. APPROVING BANK: Capital One BUREAU PULLED: Transunion CREDIT SCORE 736 CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: Mississippi NEW/USED New YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2013 MILEAGE: 53 RETAIL/LEASE: Retail AMOUNT OF LOAN: 18095.30 ADVANCE PERCENTAGE: 54% TERM CONTRACTED: 54 months APR/LEASE RATE: 2.99% MONTHLY PAYMENT 358.48 MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. Dealer arranged financing direct with Cap one.
  5. A transaction I made yesterday is showing as pending in the Account Activity section of the CC site. I have a Dividend World M/C.
  6. Like you said, $40 isn't much. You can consider yourself very lucky. I have an all electric house so I don't deal with the gas company, but the electric company is a municipal entity buying electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority. I established service five years ago and had to put up a deposit of $165 which has since gone up to $185. This is required of all customers regardless of credit score...I asked. The city holds this money for as long as you have service. I was going through some of my parents' documents and found an electric deposit receipt for $25 from 1962 and yes the city still has the money. By the way, no interest is paid on deposits here. Look on the bright side, it could be much worse. Enjoy your new apartment.
  7. This is what Citi Identity Monitor says about age of accounts for me. You can come to your own conclusions because this is definitely a YMMV type of thing. Negative Factors You opened your first credit account 5 years and 8 months ago. This does not include disputed accounts and accounts for which the date opened is not reported. This lowers your score. Having had credit accounts for a long time is a positive factor because your credit history allows lenders to evaluate how you typically use credit and repay your debts. However, accounts that have been open for a long time may have a short payment history, either because you have not used the account recently, or because the lender has not reported the payment history to the credit bureau. Having short payment histories is a negative factor, even for accounts that have been open for a long time, because it does not provide lenders with the information they need to determine how you repay your debts. Accounts that were opened 40 or more years ago and have 2 or more years of reported payment history are considered best. On the other hand, if your oldest account was opened up to 7 years ago, your credit history may be considered short, and less than 3 years ago is often considered too little.
  8. Don't have any idea what the board's doing, but I have a pretty good idea about what EQ is doing. Unless your BK was discharged, EQ will report the BK13 for 10 years. If it was dismissed they report for the full 10 years even though TU and EX only report all BK13's for 7 years from date of filing. Don't ask why, they just do. Been there and been through that.
  9. I don't know about Ashley, but Bassett GEMB financing doesn't allow online CLIs. Could be similar. Interesting.. so do you have to call or go to a store? Never needed to up my line, but I'm sure the store would be able to get it increased if you wanted to buy something else. I think a lot of GEMB financing cards are like that. I also have a Sony Financial Services card issued by GEMB (Got that one for the 36 month 0% deal on a flatscreen). Can't request a CLI online on that one either.

  11. IME, they've always pulled a hard.
  12. Where is the LUV button? It is on the account management page. You can't miss it. Next to the Credit Limit line, there is a link that says "Credit Line Increase". Click it, put in your annual income on the next screen and if you've waited a least 4 months, preferably a little longer for good measure, hopefully things will be good.
