  1. right, I don't care about not getting the Apple card. I'm concerned about getting approved for credit cards going forward if they are going to see this Chex entry, or are they going to check Chex. I haven't applied for a CC in two years so I wasn't sure if this is new or what. In the meantime, i'm going to work on getting that 1 entry off my Chex report, if that's even possible. I'm familiar with TU, EX & EQ disputes but not Chex systems.
  2. I just requested my Chex. Goldman didn't directly pull Chex, it seems they requested Transunion to. Also Goldman wanted to know if I had any evictions because the section after Chex info on my Transunion is this; SUPPLEMENT􏰃L PU􏰈LIC RECORDS 􏰃ND RESIDENTI􏰃L INFORM􏰃TION Data Source􏰊 CoreLogic Inc􏰀 􏰅1 CoreLogic Drive􏰄 Westlake􏰄 TX 76262􏰄 􏰅866􏰇 873􏰋3651􏰇 Number of Evictions􏰊 0 􏰃uto Finance Inquiries in the Last 9 Months􏰊 Requested by􏰊 GOLDM􏰃N S􏰃CHS 􏰈􏰃NK US􏰃 􏰃uto Finance Inquiries in the Last 3 Months􏰊 Requested on􏰊 08􏰉12􏰉2019 􏰃uto Finance Inquiries in the Last 6 Months􏰊 00 􏰃uto Finance Inquiries in the Last 24 􏰃uto Finance Inquiries in the Last 7 Months􏰊 Years􏰊 000 Cash 􏰃dvance Inquiries in the Last 3 Cash 􏰃dvance Inquiries in the Last 6 Cash 􏰃dvance Inquiries in the Last 9 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 000 Cash 􏰃dvance Inquiries in the Last 12 Cash 􏰃dvance Inquiries in the Last 24 Cash 􏰃dvance Inquiries in the Last 7 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 Years􏰊 000 Misc Financial Services in the Last 7 Rent􏰋to􏰋Own Inquiries in the Last 3 Rent􏰋to􏰋Own Inquiries in the Last 6 Years􏰊 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 000 Rent􏰋to􏰋Own Inquiries in the Last 9 Rent􏰋to􏰋Own Inquiries in the Last 12 Rent􏰋to􏰋Own Inquiries in the Last 24 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 000 30/31 8/12/2019 Months􏰊 Years􏰊 TransUnion Last 24 Months􏰊 000 Open Payday Loan Charge􏰋offs in the Open Rent􏰋to􏰋Own Charge􏰋offs in 􏰃ll Open Charge􏰋offs in the Last 3 Last 24 months􏰊 the Last 24 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 000 􏰃ll Open Charge􏰋offs in the Last 6 􏰃ll Open Charge􏰋offs in the Last 9 􏰃ll Open Charge􏰋offs in the Last 12 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 Months􏰊 000 􏰃ll Open Charge􏰋offs in the Last 24 􏰃ll Open Charge􏰋offs in the Last 7 Months􏰊 Years􏰊 00
  3. After hearing that Apple's new card only does a soft pull if your denied and hard if you are approved, I decided to give it a try. I was denied with 710 credit score and no negatives (one card has high balance, overall utilization is 8%). The email i got was : Thank you for your interest in Apple Card. Goldman Sachs Bank USA has reviewed your application, and it was not approved at this time because: A bank has recently closed your account I know I didn't have any recently closed accounts so I dug deeper, at the bottom of my report I found this; THIRD PARTY SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION CHECKING ACCOUNT AND DEMAND DEPOSIT ACCOUNT (DDA) ACTIVITY Data Source: Chex Systems Inc. (7805 Hudson Road, Suite 100, Woodbury, MN 55125, (800) 513-7125) Checking Account Closures in the Last Month: Requested by: GOLDMAN SACHS BANK USA Checking Account Closures in the Last 2 Months: Requested on: 8/12/2019 Checking Account Closures in the Last 3 Months: 000 Checking Account Closures in the Checking Account Closures in the Checking Account Closures in the Last Year: Last 2 Years: Last 3 Years: 001 So Transunion pulls Chex on behalf of Goldman Sachs? So now even though I worked to get my credit perfect, i'm gonna have this Chex inquiry for the next 2 years? wtf!
  4. I'm in the process of having my last bad accounts due to fall off all within the next 2-6 months, in fact, Transunion has deleted everything early (TU Credit Karma: 716). I have two cards with 90% utilization that I fully paid down this past week so i'd expect my score to go up around 740-750 maybe? When all my reports are clean I plan on applying for the premium cards (amex, chase etc..) My question is, my dad just opened up a new AMEX with 20k limit, he has no problem adding me as an AU. My concern is that I have 5 AU accounts already (10 total accounts) The highest TL is $8,500. The problem is my average age of accounts has dropped to 3 years. Would it be worth it to be added as a AU on this account at this point if I plan on applying for AMEX in a few months? thanks
  5. update; disputed Discover this morning (DOFD 8/2012) and was deleted within hours from TU.
  6. Ya I might wait a month and see were I’m at after these are paid down. Is the “$2 trick” just keeping a balance of $10 on my zero balance accounts? Thx
  7. Update: I disputed online the Oldest account (DOFD of 6/12) Transunion came back deleted after a few hours! Still waiting on EQ and EX. I supposed I’ll wait a few days to dispute the second oldest account (DOFD of 11/12). Also, what would be the best method to dispute the Portfolio Recovery account if it is indeed SOL from the original account holder (HSBC)
  8. Sorry for the confusion, 29% apr was my Cap One Cards (or 24.99%) I have to check. You’re spot on with Cap One Auto Finance, they mail pre-qualification letters almost every month, I went though the process once, but the dealer still has to verify paystubs on behalf on Cap One, which I don’t have. Im gonna take everyone’s advice and pay down these cards ASAP, it’s just a little tight right now.
  9. I’d like to finance like an 8k car. I’ll put some activity on some of these cards every quarter
  10. Yes that’s the first thing I’m going to pay off after I get a car, the APR is 29%. Why leave $10 reporting? So they don’t close the accounts? You’re probably right to wait for the CO to fall off reports.
  11. Thanks! One last question for anyone. Is there a secured card (other than Cap One & Discover) that converts to and unsecured card eventually? I’d like to start rebuilding with accounts other that Cap One and store charge cards.
  12. I tried to search for the thread you mentioned and can’t find it. Could you recommend a search term for it. Thanks
  13. Ok, so the Alliant dates are correct. But looking over the Discover, the first time it went 30 days late and never brought current is November of 2012. But it’s has “Date of Last Payment” Nov 2013.
