Credit report showed 3 dings from medical actions. Basically, had emergency transport to hospital and two services at hospital. I was covered by insurance so why they didn't bill insurance makes no sense as I've had the same situation happen several times this year with no problem. Anyhow, if I get these three dings removed I'll have total debts of about $250 dollars left that I can get removed as they're minor things. So do I contact the EMT and hospital to explain all this or hire someone? The hospital knows I've got insurance so why would they bill me and not send a notice. None of them did. If I get these dings removed by early next year my rating should be in the mid 700s or higher. Thanks, CartoonGuy

Tried to post earlier but kept getting an error message. Anyhow, got the score up to 750. Don't know how, but it did. Haven't used credit cards in over 10 years. What next? Best way to protect myself and best way to get optimum gains with a great score. Thanks, Cartoon Guy

Got the credit score over 750. Didn't have a lot of debt on my reports and 0 credit cards as I've not used them in over 10 years. Caught me by surprise because I hadn't been keeping track of my credit score until I was watching an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space 9, and was laughing at the Ferengi characters and their "Rules of Acquisition". Anyhow, I'm wondering what to do next with a good score. What to watch out for. Expanding business-wise means I may need biz credit. I'm going to try to secure myself as best I can regarding my score. However, I'm sure there areways to optimize the opportunities. Thanks, Cartoon Guy

Any updates about computer companies with biz credit
CartoonGuy replied to CartoonGuy's topic in Business Credit
GFT, a PG isn't a problem but I can see why it is tough for some. Where do we sign up for Dell? Do they need a PG too? You can purchase computers from Staples and Office Depot with Dell or on their own? -
Any updates about computer companies with biz credit
CartoonGuy replied to CartoonGuy's topic in Business Credit
Awesome! Thanks! i'm also going to look for lenders who lend for buying office supplies. -
I may have missed something in the search function but has there been any updates regarding computer companies like Gateway, Toshiba, Dell, that offer biz credit or ways to get computers for a discount? Thanks, Greg

Over five years ago I was in the hospital. The hospital billed me but no one ever contacted me further. No collection agencies or anything. I've now come to find out that it's past the statute of limitations for them to bill me or take any legal action. That killed that bill. Now I'm wondering if they can't take any action, can I have the ding removed from my credit report? If so, how?

Okay so I started to expand on three businesses but I don't use biz credit for them yet. As I escalate these businesses to LLC status I'm sure there are some good deals on equipment. I'm an artist/writer so I need discounts on computer equipment primarily, smartphones, art supplies and maybe travel discounts. Every penny counts nowadays so I can really appreciate those savings. The rules on biz credit have changed so much I'll need to go back to the stickies to study up but I'm sure businesses are trying to unload as much as they can and are indeed offering discounts and credit plans for equipment. Thanks!

Alrighty! Just found out my credit rating has jumped up big time. A few more months and I should be high 700s. Just followed basic tips I've studied here on CB and other educational places. I work in comics, animation, fine art and having now risen past a long term illness am back to full production. I'll be buying/renting a larger studio for bigger production and my production costs are so low now that I might need biz cred just as a safety factor. So with today's economic crisis, is there a new formula for getting biz credit? Basically, what's new? Any new formulas? I'm finding real estate is getting ridiculously cheap all over the U.S. I figure to get in now before the economy bounces back in the next 5 years maybe.

Is Biz Credit Still Available In Today's Economic Climate?
CartoonGuy replied to CartoonGuy's topic in Business Credit
Great responses all, thanks gang. I'm finding that there are lines of credit out there but it's more on the lines of being recommended. I'm spending this month going over every debt, bill, etc. and I have so few I can remember them all. I want no debts unpaid so even though some debts are outside of the statute of limitations I'm still squaring those away. It's just the way I roll. I'm not dealing with the ripoff companies though. I mean real debts. Then make a list of needed operating capital for 2009 and then work on those projects that raise the bottom line. Online businesses and services will continue to grow and support for these will grow. I started a writing/editing service a year ago for bloggers and being a professional writer that biz took off fast. Went back into print and found great opportunities for the works I do and even opened up some. I figure if I build a great sound biz structure with all biz in the black I can tap those domestic and foreign credit sources who work off the old fashioned "who you know" routine. There's tons of money out there but it's getting personal. After Obama's administration gets in and starts doing repair I think there will be some major changes for the better by mid to late 2009. I think he's going to trash Bush's bankruptcy laws and give the average guy a break instead of giving breaks to the big corporations. -

Thanks for the reply QC. I figured as much. I'm watching all the major financial news. I went back to working with my old news service Gannett as a consultant and that rounds out my major media influence. Also started a new children's book company and that shot off like a rocket. Didn't need the biz cred to start that as overhead is very low. However, many companies out there I know have had their biz cred slashed. Some smart ones maxed out their credit before the wave hit and that gave them lots of breathing room. Right now educating and resolving is what the country needs to get back on track to build the confidence of personal and group responsibility and ethics. I figure by mid to late 2009 if there are no wars we'll see an upswing of considerable merit with an emphasis on meeting news standards of responsibility. We humans are not androids. We can't live and work on numbers. They're nice to use but not our God. We have far too many random elements and foibles. I'd say put your money behind the arts and creative services. It's working for me. Actually, going for biz credit study now should be much more advantageous because you're forced to meet those strict bottom lines. -
Just checking in gang. With the major downturn in the economy, how's the biz credit situation? Any outlooks? I haven't looked into it but will finally be able to early next year as I have a new job paying a good 6 figures so I want to make sure I get what I can regarding biz cred while the gettin' is good.

Okay, I've spent a year cleaning up and restructuring so I can maximize my web based businesses. Learned blogging to the max, got back in comm with my book publishers etc. Now it's time to look at more biz credit options and lo and behold we're in an economic upheaval. As a professional writer and illustrator I've had the blessing of new technologies and techniques the web affords but still need to get down to the basics of what the latest biz credit and biz credit techniques offer as well. What's changed in the past year? Is it harder now than ever? Are there better goodies to be had with new strategies? I'm going through the stickies so I'm doing my due diligence as well.

With today's credit crunch every percentage point counts. is there a recent list on this board for companies to apply to for unsecured cards for people with medium to high credit scores? Especially the ones with low % allowing for balance transfers?

Health Insurance Threads?
CartoonGuy replied to CartoonGuy's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
Jeez Sarah, that's scary! I know some couples who are paying $2,400 for a family of four per month! That's inhuman! The U.S. has an abundance of capital and could pay for every medical procedure known to man and then some but won't. It's because we have a huge, huge population of people who are uncompassionate and greedy and selfish. It doesn't get any more complicated than that. Did you see Mike Moore's "Sicko" ? Did you see how Nixon conspired to ruin any health care reform? How the Republican Party has thwarted every attempt at reform for over 30 years? Why would a party that espouses so called Christian beliefs be so inhumane and anti-Christian? It's because the Republicans let opportunists and selfish people corrupt their party that's why. So many Americans make money off insurance companies as investors and get those dividend checks much like petroleum and pharmaceuticals that half the population doesn't care about health care because they make money off of you 'not' having health care. You run up a major hospital bill, you lose your house and belongings and they scoop them up at the foreclosure and sheriff auctions. These aren't people anymore they're carrion. That's the state of degredation a hundred million people in this country have stooped to. Predating on their fellow human being. However, there is hope. Even though Hillary Clinton failed in the 90's to get health care reform thanks to the Republicans and the media, the fight is still on. This time maybe Dan Rather's new lawsuit against CBS regarding infiltration of the newsrooms by corporations and intelligence communities will expose the press for what it's become, why I left 20 years ago because of too many CIA and military/industrialists infiltrating it to promote their agendas. It's only so long you can pull a scam til the scam starts to rot and it smells. I'm sure if we hunt together we'll find you a way to get more affordable insurance even with pre-existing. Depending on what state you live in. You may have to start a business with your husband and get 'Group of One' insurance which covers pre-existing. I found out today that many people try to get jobs at McDonalds or other big fast food chains just for the health coverage! Sometimes they get turned away for being too qualified. The bottom line is your health and welfare come first. Being saddled with an illness and then massive amounts of debt is against the Constitutional birthright of the Pursuit of Happiness. Maybe we can argue that in court.
