  1. Thanks Marv. Found out today that I am about $5500 under water with the car so it's not looking good. I guess I will just keep paying my $398 note.
  2. I am really just trying to find out if I can get approved in my situation for a newer car (around $16k or so - Toyota is a having a 4th of July weekend sale on new Camrys) with lower miles and a much lower apr now that my scores have increased some and my reports are correct. Should I just go to the car lot and let them run my credit? I would love to be in a better financial situation vehicle wise. Please advise. Thanks for all your assistance.
  3. Ok. What if I put $1k down? Would that help and if so, what price range should I be looking at?
  4. Thanks for your reply. I am looking for a car I can roll it into hopefully. Not 100% sure how much car I need to be looking for but I want a new car with a lot lower mileage (currently at 130k) and lower interest rate.

  6. 2014 Hyundai Accent Hatchback, 23 miles and financed $21k at 21.99%. Currently awaiting chapter 7 discharge (18 days left). Also have a chapter 7 discharged in jan 2006 that will fall off reports in September this year. Current credit score about 500. $1k down. How did I do? $450 for 72 months.
  7. I have 2 bks reporting and one is not even discharged yet. I walked into a dealership and left with $0 (zero) down at 19% last week, which I plan to refi as soon as my current bk discharges. I think he can do a hell of a lot better than me.
  8. Good luck! I too gave it a go 9 months before bk but eventually got served and garnish attempt. Got fed up after my hardwork and gave in. In my case I am very glad I did as I couldn't get approved for anything to save my life. I am 30 days from discharge and excited about my future. My car basically died this past Thursday so I put putted to a dealership in my area and drove off with $0 down in a brand new car. I tried to get a car in Dec prior to bk but had to return the car because they could not finance me.
  9. Great, thanks! Yes, I am awaiting bk 7 discharge as we speak but I am following your thread as well as any and all info I find on naca. I am in las vegas and the meeting out here was great especially seeing all the success stories in person. That 15 year mortgage deal is unbelievable and is what I am going for when ready. Please keep posting all your experience because it is helping people like me. Additionally, I told the naca people I was in bk and they said I could still get started anyway.
  10. Congrats! I went to the NACA initial workshop. I plan on going through them for My home. The 15 year loan is great with the buy down as well.Any update? I will not be ready to buy a house until 2017. I just went to meeting for information but I loved what I heard and cannot wait to get started.
  11. 27% sounds like shooting in both feet with double barrels - Yikes! 27% is LEGAL???? Some states it is. Clearly not NV as I was paying 30%!
