  1. I got the secured card and it was reviewed after 5 or 6 months and it was converted to the cash rewards card. I'm happy with my relationship.
  2. Yup. After 6 months. I'm at $14,000 right now. They keep sending me emails with pre approved auto loans. I'm very happy with my account with them. I have my paychecks direct deposited in my checking account.
  3. I have a Maryland driver's license and I was able to setup.
  4. I was approved for the Home Depot card in July. They immediately put a block on my card because they couldn't verify my cellphone number. I know that a lot of people have this issue and that Citi has blocked their accounts over this. After several phone calls to Citi on this matter they realized the reason they couldn't verify my number is that they had my cellphone number listed as my home number, not my cellphone. They made the change and my account was verified. I was very thankful that I finally got a rep who took his time going through things and he was the one who realized the error. I wonder how many other people are in this same situation? I hope that this information is helpful to others.
  5. I don't know how your credit is but Chase offers the Amazon Visa Card.
  6. I would file a complaint with the consumer protection financial Bureau. The credit bureaus and financial institutions are scared of this agency as they will move heaven and Earth to make sure that the problem gets fixed. Government oversight. They've helped me on numerous items. Things I could not get done with the credit bureau and the credit bureau moved quickly to fix the errors when I filed my complaint with this agency. It works! I I wish I knew about this agency a long time ago. It would have saved me a lot of heartache and frustration.
  7. I have first tech and they did a soft pull on me for membership with Experian. They approved me for $10,000 MasterCard.
  8. I had several late payments with two banks but the late payments were in the 6th year. My credit is 760 now with nothing derogatory. I pay off my card monthly charging at least a grand each month.
  9. I started off last year with $500 and Im at $2,500.00. I pressed the button in June this year and they did an increase on their own last week.
  10. Use it once in a while. They will increase your limit.
  11. https://thefinancialbrand.com/news/bank-culture/addison-avenue-first-tech-credit-unions-to-merge-10805/#:~:text=The combined credit union would be called First Tech Federal,California%3B and Rocklin%2C California.
  12. I am pleased to report that the Board of Directors of First Tech and Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) have unanimously approved a merger of equals uniting the nation’s two leading technology focused credit unions. This combination will benefit our members, employees and the communities we serve. At First Tech, we place the interests of our members first. In this regard, you should see little to no change in the systems and processes that many of you have come to know and love. Member Benefits Through this merger, you will have increased access to a coast-to-coast branch network including 50 branches operating in eight states, expanded service hours, best in class technologies, access to premier financial products and a dedicated team ready to serve your needs now and into the future. Together as a combined organization, we will have the ability to make material investments in research and development, products and people which will allow us to better serve you. Our new organization will become the largest philanthropic leader in the industry, investing over $4 million to improve lives of others in our community. The combined organization is privileged to serve nearly two million members living in all 50 states and 93 countries around the world while holding more than $27 billion in assets and $3.0 billion in member’s equity. These metrics equal strength, stability and the capacity to serve members for generations to come. Timeline and Next Steps The merger process is subject to the approval of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and our membership. We’re expecting a closing date in late 2025, with both institutions operating as independent credit unions until that time. Executive Leadership Upon completion of the merger, DCU President and CEO Shruti Miyashiro will succeed me as President and CEO of the combined credit union. The Board of Directors and I have a tremendous amount of respect and confidence in Shruti, and I look forward to watching her and the entire First Tech family soar as I move into my planned retirement at the end of 2025.
  13. Look, I'm happy with my 1.5% cash back card because I'm not interested in applying for any new cards right now. I have 14 new accounts that I'm letting mature. Yes, it would be nice to earn more each month but I'll wait until next year when my accounts are at least a year old. I'm content.
