  1. Yes I she did. I have had it with PM they were a pain in the b*&t so I cancelled them got charged $1.00
  2. The DR is still in bruised albeit but still smiling
  3. Yep, there's that point too. Same could be said for FICO scores and CL's as well, for that matter. I don't pay much attention to that stuff. I think savings is a good subject in itself and one that more people should probably should be researching, especially as they move past the crisis stage of dealing with charge offs, CA's, etc. I'm glad to read the excellent links posted on this subject, myself. What ticked me off here wasn't the subject of savings but that when several people pointed out reasons why it might not be a good idea to post info about how much you have in savings right in your sig, then the OP tried to re-characterize the original statement as having meant something entirely different instead of recognizing the valid points being raised. It's extremely disrespectful to those who've taken the time to read and respond, as if we're considered salamanders who won't notice when the story suddenly changes. My dear Idare, while it may seem that you know a thing or two about credit and collection I could not resist the oppotunity to spell out to you that the question in my post was a " Theoretical question". The fact the you grossly misinterpreted it as a literal question speaks volume about you. I strongly recommand you visit English 101 and that's not a place.
  4. I think the best way to handle this subject is for someone to post some news related links on the subject. You are right on ! here it is.. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/local...iness-headlines
  5. Not asking for GENERICS. Yep, 5 months income is that much
  6. I have put away 5 months worth of income in high yield savings account. I know what it means to lose a job OUT OF THE BLUE. It took me 4 months to land a new job. "5 months" is not an amount. You're right I ment to keep it in generic terms
  7. Exactly. I think it's a bad idea to reveal that much personal financial info on the net. Everybody seems to discuss freely their very personal credit problems here, and their credit worthiness! That is NOT private? 'cuuuse me beside nobody know nobody here. It could very inspiring to say ⦣8364;œI put away %10 of my income or I put into my saving 3 days worth of work⦣8364;?. NO DISCLOSURE OF BALANCES NEEDED Since it is relatively simple for a CA troll to "match-up" posts with debtors if they REALLY wanted to,especially if the poster EVER included enough data in their posts such as State, names of creditors etc. The information that they even HAVE any savings account could engender a freeze and/or garnishment. Those who post their progress in their FICO scores are not at risk, however, posting their newly achieved credit limits and naming the source of their new CC is, IMO potentially dangerous, if they had posted AT ANY TIME about their problems with creditors or CA's. I agree, that's why talking generic is good

NO DISCLOSURE OF BALANCES NEEDED This is from the same person who suggested "moving" to MA to try to force CA's off your CR in order to qualify for a mortgage. Persistent pattern being exhibited here with posting suggestions that at the very least may indicate bad judgment or possibly could indicate worse, followed by attempts to deny having said the things that were said. IDare, Judge not and you shall not be judged, you are totally off topic. If the subject of saving is so repugnant to you then don't attack with off topic snide remarks.
  10. You totally missed the point. SAVING IS THE POINT NOT HOW MUCH YOU HAVE. The question is ARE YOU putting aside money for rainy days ?, I guess for some it’s a difficult concept to grasp. I don't have the greatest credit yet, but I have 5 months worth of income if I lose my job or fall on hard time

  12. If you have in your signiture CC limits how about adding to it how much money you have in your savings account. It will be just as inspiring as rebuilding credit worthiness. We need to put some of our own money aside for rainy days
  13. CONGRATS and thanks for sharing! This is indeed very inspiring
  14. In fact I have no recollection of this account and there is no proof to date that it is mine so I gave it a "NOT MINE" dispute. I guess it's too late in the game to tangle myself with this CO. The CO's letter found itself into my heavy duty cross cut shredder

    QUESTION

But if you stiff them without going BK they WILL give you CC
