  2. I am trying to rebuild my credit while disputing baddies in reading CB i learned that I should try to get a card where I can make consistent payments and let it age well while doing research for such a card I came across the USA Platinum Credit Card. My question is is it a good card for someone rebuilding credit to get and if anyone has this card to elaborate on any positives and negatives on it. Here is the link I saw it on http://www.elite-credit-cards.com/bad-credit.html Thanks in advance for the feedbacks

As others have said, more info. What is meant by this is, what is delinquent/ derogatory? Credit cards, loans, etc? Are these accounts open or closed? How old are the lates? Are any of these collections? etc.? Before you answer those questions, have you read and reread the entire Newbies section? If not then go do that now. There is no way you can short cut the information in that section. If you try, you will get burned and some of the derogatory information on your reports now could get cemented till the 7 or 10 year deletion dates. I have a sense that you have not read the newbies section in that you would have given us more information if you had been reading. We do not pound on people to read till your eyes melt out of your head because we are jerks. The reason you need to read is so you can make progress and make it as quick as possible. I came here in June 2005 with two scores in the mid 500s and one in the low 600s. My FICOs now are at 729, 713 and 704. My 729 was my lowest score starting at 548. I got the improvement because I spent beyond many hours reading. CB is here to help, but you gotta help yourself by reading first. -Subprime Thanks subprime I will continue reading

A heck of a lot of progress has been made in that period of time. Just watch the posts, and you will see what others have done. The group on CB varies from 400's to 800's for FICO scores, but you do not have your EXP FICO score. If you want a true FICO score for Experian, you have to go to Myfico.com. You will want to distinguish between " FICO scores " and scores. FICO is not available on the EXP web site. I got my score from freecredit.com

Hi folks at creditboards, I'm a newbie trying to get my credit fixed for the new year. i pulled my credit report from experian still working on the other two agencies. So far this is what I have: Satisfactory Accounts: 11 Now Delinquent/derogatory accounts:2 Was delinquent/derogatory accounts:5 Current Credit Score is 519 I understand that 519 is a very poor score, I'm trying to get my score to increase by at least the summertime seeing that I am engaged to be married this year. As a newbie is there any possible way for me at least by the end of this year to be on the level as you good people are on creditboards. I was thinking of just consolidating my bills but reading on here most of you guys say it is not a very good idea. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance.
