    Can't get tax transcripts...help please

Thanks, guess I will try again with the IRS.
  2. closing scheduled for next week UW wants tax transcripts - 2013 and 2014 There was documented fraud using my ss# and the IRS has already cleared me and cashed my checks for my taxes owed But the system still pulls the fraudulent info...thus I can't get a proper transcript to satisfy UW i've been to local IRS office twice and they can only see the fraudulent return they gave me info to call another number and said that at best it would take 4 weeks to get resolved Any ideas on how we can get lender and UW past this item? What can I send them to satisfy this request? I understand that because I am self-employed I need to provide more documentation but this is out of my control and I didn't do anything wrong. tia for suggestions

quicksilver 1 classic platinum and toy cards

Thank you all for the replies. I have my credit card strategy figured out and a better understanding of what people mean by toy cards. Also, i knew what PC meant, didn't know what it stood for, so thanks for that too. fyi - I will use the cards to pay some bills, I already pay all my bills once a month and pay the month ahead so should be easy to merge that into a PIF plan once I get the cards and statement date. And I will put a reminder on my calendar for the 6 month mark and work on my CLI if it hasn't automatically happened. And of course now I will re-focus on cleaning up my report.
  4. I have read and searched quite a bit and still not 100% clear, so I'm asking for an expert to chime in here. Just got approved for quicksilver 1 for $1000 (FAKO's around 600) Also got approved for classic platinum for $500 I already have Commenity Lane Bryant at $1100 (balance is $495) Those are all the cards I have ( I have a few old ones that were CO'd in 2012 which I still need to work on, surprised I got approved for new cards. I have so many late payments to negate, I wanted to make sure I had positive payments reporting while I work on cleaning up the baddies) Questions: 1) What classifies a card as a toy card? 2) What is the best strategy for cli's on my capital one cards? (I've seen some say charge it all the way up and then PIF before the statement date, some say charge small amounts and make multiple payments per month, some say carry about a 9% balance, some say use it and let the 90% usage report then PIF, even heard some say never charge more than the 30% amount EVER) I am a loyal student, give me good advice and I will follow. Now that I have these cards I will sit still and not apply for anything else until I can get these cards converted to no AF cards with bigger limits. TIA
  5. I have a Merrick Bank account listed on my EQ report as account status open and reporting over limit with a payment status of Collection/Charge-off. Date of last payment was 12/1/2010. The account was opened in 2007 so I'm wondering... Can it legally be listed as both open and charged off at the same time? What is the best strategy to deal with this? If the OC considers it open, should I contact them and start making payments on it? This is showing as having a high impact on my score as it appears that I am very over limit on an open cc. Thanks for any info

    Past tax foreclosure

BK 13 filed 2003, mortgage behind, bk13 dismissed as I got a job and thought I could catch everything up and my atty advised me to dismiss it. City taxes and County taxes unpaid, mortgage 90+ days behind. City took house and sold in auction 2004. Mortgage lender never contacted me. Until now, 9/2009 received letter from debt collector not OC, demanding payment. Question - In terms of dealing with this since there was no loan foreclosure what category does this fall under? Do I look at SOL from date city took house, auctioned house, loan defaulted??? Loan has been sold so when I look at item on my credit report, what would be true date of first delinquency, would it be first 30 day late prior to never paying again? Should I respond to letter from debt collector? According to my reports, this item is scheduled to fall off in early 2010. Tks in advance.

    Has anyone been turned down?

I was denied on 10/9 due to dismissed ch 13 from 4 yrs ago. They certainly didn't feel obligated to auto-approve me.

    Need an Atty in NC

Hi, I want to understand my rights and my research is showing me conflicting info. Can anybody refer some names of atty's in the Triangle area of NC that deal with consumer laws? Questions such as - Can foreign judgment be entered in NC? If so, what interest rate applies, or which states rates apply? Which date begins SOL? Thanks

    foreclosure seasoning?

I need a mortgage. I have a mid-score of 580 Appraisal of 132k I need 102k financed Owner is gifting me all equity I've lived in the house for almost a year and have made all mortgage payments directly from my account. I have a $0bal foreclosure from 01/05 I have a tax foreclosure from 9/05 on which there is a balance. Now, the day of closing, my lender tells me this balance is an issue and I can't close. I knew I had a balance on this account all along, and told them that it was a tax foreclosure not a bank foreclosure. I don't have a problem negotiating with the lender on the tax foreclosed property and paying on the balance, but I don't have enough to pay it off. Can anyone point me toward getting this loan done? TIA

    Capital Gains tax

Hello, I am buying a property from a relative. The house has equity which the seller doesn't want. They are going to give it to me. My question is, if they gift me 20k in equity, will they still be hit with a capital gains tax for the 20k paper profit? Thanks for any help.

    Old Mortgage in Limbo...now what

I made some mistakes...I know that....so please don't yell at me. I gave up on an investment property and the city took it for back taxes. The mortgage company never foreclosed and now the loan is just sitting on my credit. They are not contacting me for payment. Should I just leave it alone??? Date Opened 8/00 High Credit $25,600 Term 30 years DOLA 1/04 Date reported 4/06 Balance $0 Current Status - Over 120 Days Past Due It's been several years (about 3) and I want to buy a house for my primary residence...so I'm trying to clean up my credit. Should I attempt to dispute this off?

    should i buy a car

Been trying to weigh the pros and cons of this action on my own and am hoping some other cb'ers will chime in. My scores aren't great, around 580's. I have a target to purchase house August 2007, so I'm wondering if I should buy a car to help with my credit mix and help improve my scores. My logic is that I don't want a bunch of new revolving debt after 2/07 cause they'll show as under 6 months when I go for house so now would be the time to do stuff. I already have the rebuilder cards. I already have a solid car, paid cash. I'm not in dire need of a vehicle. I have enough income to afford decent payment. I know my interest will be high so I'm looking at this as sorta buying the TL more than the car. I'm thinking of getting a used car about 10k, which I can pay off or at least substantially pay down before house purchase so I'm not too worried about my dti. So, do you think the potential boost to my score would be worth the high interest for a 10k car loan?

    ombudsman, consolidate, rehab, aaarrgghh!

Thanks rynn, If you've read my other thread you will see I'm into income sensitive payments with Sallie Mae now. I'll check out the Student Loan Watch Organization. I'd love for mine to be done in 20 years. It'd be nice to know that I might have a few good student loan payment free years to look forward to.

    rehab complete

****UPDATE**** 2 USAF TL's are gone off my EQ....score jumped 21 points....YEAH!!! They are still on my TU but that's just cause TU hasn't updated. Rep at USAF stated they sent request to delete to all 3 CRA's. EX is not pulling through TC so, I don't know whats showing on that report. I wasn't eligible to consolidate since I had already done so. I applied for income sensitive payments and my payments are lower now than they were when I was in rehab. Maybe I can flip a house or something and one day pay this debt OFF!!!!
