  4. Sweet! Congrats! Thanks! I was surprised that I was given that online when asking. BOA has generally been really generous with me.

  7. True but I won't pass the 5/24 rule. In other news, I just got an online instant CLI on my BOA RC Visa to raise the limit from $30K --> $45k!!! My new highest limit!!
  8. Thanks, the only other card I might consolidate/close this year is the Chase United card but I think it might be worth keeping for another year. It's kind of sad when there's nothing else in terms of cards that appeals to me. Sure, they're advertising the Freedom Unlimited all over the place but it has the exact same rewards as my Cap 1 QS (which also has close to 5 years of history on it now) and with Chase's 5/24 rule they won't approve me anyway. I can eventually move some limits around and close/combine/PC some things in the future. Aside from a really great signup offer no
  9. Okay, managed to get a minor bump on the SPG, so I went ahead and closed the True Earnings Amex. 10. Just a few data points to add here in my experiences. I had an ANCIENT US Airways card that CO (no longer on my reports it's that old). Once it was about 6 years old Barclays finally let me back in the door with a Rewards card but every CLI was basically a hard and a call to an analyst and I could never get an APR reduction (card was used pretty decently never late, etc). I thought they hated me. Recently, my Jet Blue Amex went over to them, they immediately gave me a CLI soft by hitting the luv button then let me combine the limit from my old Rewards card into it to make a card with

  12. Finally closed and combined my Barclay's cards to create a $40K limit Jet Blue card. Useless Rewards card is gone. Now the question is do I just close the TE Amex now or wait?
  13. Had some CLI luv today: Orbitz Visa $7.5K -> $9.5K still a kind of crap limit IMO for a hotel card but the extra orbucks come in handy from time to time so it'll stay for now. 25. Oh and for those of you who are following my thread and want a summary of how I did this - got to over $400k in individual lines and all the top cards it did take a while but I have some general tips 1) open a card as soon as you can while rebuilding. You need age and positive tradelines. Go for secured cards that graduate and store cards over the predatory lenders if you can't get in with the big boys yet. 2) work on your negatives, be persistent. Realize you may have to wait for some OCs to fall off no matter what you do. Position yourself as best you can to get the highest scor
