  1. I got that same reply when I initially requested validation. I wrote a second time and they did not respond. At that point I wrote the Attorney Gen of SD and they then responded by sending me all the statements from the account. So now my only option seems to be picking apart the statements and looking for actual mistakes in the tradeline. I hope you have better luck with them than I have so far.
  2. Update....I just got a letter from Crap One in response to the above. It states that they are enclosing statements on one of the accounts for the period of Oct 2002-Dec 2002, and that the account was charged off on Dec 16, 2002. I'm assuming that a response relating to the other three accounts is forthcoming. But here is my question, why not address the all important DOLA? These statements cover three months before charge off, but the DOLA listed on my reports is 5/02, that's not addressed in this information but is a part of the tradeline. Any thoughts? Maybe I'm getting some ammunition to fight back?
  3. Thanks evryone.....my EX FICO is 544 I also added this to creditpulls.
  4. Just got a Chevron Rebuilder, no annual fee $300 limit. I think they pulled Experian based on the erroneous address information she tried to get me to verify.
  5. Thanks for all replies, I will keep my nose to the grindstone and meanwhile I'll look for some new TL's to add.
  6. The other half? Adding new credit. Tools I've opened, used and paid off my Crown Jewelers acct. I have an Orchard Secured(july 05) which I usually keep pretty low, I have an unsecured LOC (march 06) but it's maxxed at the moment(working on paying that down), I consolidated my SL's (Jan 06), and I have a Jareds card (12/06). And, of course all perfect payments.
  7. Thanks for the kind words. I am defininitely forced to find patience that I never knew I had.
  8. Part of my original plan was to do a few at a time, which morphed into me tackling all my CA's first, those were actually pretty easy in retrospect because they never follow the rules. Now I'm turning my attention to OC's. I will keep it up though I know that the rewards are great!
  9. The other half? Rebuilding? I've opened, used and paid off my Crown Jewelers acct. I have an Orchard Secured which I usually keep pretty low, I have an unsecured LOC but it's maxxed at the moment(working on paying that down), I consolidated my SL's (new TL with perfect payment history), and I have a Jareds card (new)
  10. Does anyone have a number to call and check on a Chevron credit app?
  11. I read a lot of success stories from folks here who have had FICO score jumps of 200+ points in 6 mos. I don't think that I expected that kind of quick success since I basically have every kind of negative credit a person can have, except BK or Judgement. But going into 2007 I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. My FICO's are TU 560 EX 544 and EQ 533. Which is an 80-100 point jump on TU and EX from 8/05, EQ was actually higher before I started repairing. I have 4 CA's lingering, 2 of which will fall off by Mar 07, 1 that I will redispute and 1 Med Coll that just showed up this year that I'm currently working on. I have 4 Crap One monthly reporting nightmares currently being worked, 1 repo that I attempted to have removed but in the end Fairlane zeroed the deficiency balance and no attorney would take up my cause (not enough money in it for them), some Sallie Mae 90 and 120 day lates (3 years old or more), a First Premier CO from 2002 (they actually sent me statements), 2 Providian/Wamu CO's (they also sent me statements) and HSBC CO (haven't tried to dispute yet) and 1 paid utility CO still showing a balance on EQ and EX. I'm continuing to follow the advice given on this board carefully and modifying it when need be but I feel like I'm in a rut. Every dispute I send lately is verified, and I haven't had a deletion in months (probably due to Oscar) and while I have been able to open some new accounts I'm still not getting the scores that I really need. I think that Experian has it out for me personally. All of this will be moot in 2009 but I don't want to wait unitil then to have good credit. I feel like I have to be missing something. Input please
  12. Got approved for $1650 at Jared today I'm pretty stoked. I think they pulled Equifax, my fico is 533.
  13. Thanks for the replies and encouragement I'll be mailing this today.
  14. Ok so I disputed Crap One with the CRA's and all verified of course. I wrote to Crap One and on the 28th day of their 30 days they send out a form letter requesting all sorts of ridiculous information from me. I find this crazy since they certainly didn't have a problem verifying these accounts and I provided full account numbers in my correspondence to them, anyway here is my response to them compiled from several different letters used by myself and other wonderful CB members. What do you guys think? Anything I should change? Shaquita025 200 Anywhere St. New Orleans, LA 00000 Capital One 15000 Capital One Dr. Richmond, VA 23238-1119 Date: December 6, 2006 CMRRR# 7006 2034 0001 2443 2175 Re: Acct #’s XXXX XXXX XXXX 7606 XXXX XXXX XXXX 4235 XXXX XXXX XXXX 1975 XXXX XXXX XXXX 5617 SS# XXX-XX-XXXX To Whom It May Concern: On October 4, 2006 I sent you a letter requesting verification of the information that you are reporting to Transunion, Equifax, and Experian about the above referenced accounts. In response you sent me a computer generated form requesting more information in order to process my request. I have provided you with the account numbers that you are reporting and have included my social security number in this letter. In August of 2006 I received dispute results from Transunion, Equifax, and Experian and not only did you verify all of the information being reported, but you also “updated†these tradelines. Obviously, you do not need me to provide you with additional information because the verification that I am requesting is readily at your fingertips, based on the timely verification that you did with Transunion, Equifax and Experian. I would like to remind you that you are now in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You are inaccurately and incompletely furnishing negative information regarding the above-referenced accounts to the major Credit Reporting Agencies in violation of the reporting requirements of the FCRA, Section 623, Responsibilities of Furnishers of Information, and for which you are responsible. I dispute your information in its entirety and request evidentiary documentation that substantiates ALL of the information you have furnished and its reporting, including the required commencement of delinquency date, as verification of the information you have provided and its present reporting. I will state again that you are required to provide me with evidentiary proof of all the information you are currently reporting on all three of my credit bureau reports. You are required to provide this information within 30 days. You have now surpassed the 30 day time limit and you have failed to mark these accounts in dispute with Transunion, Equifax and Experian, which is also a requirement of the FCRA. These actions constitute an unfair or deceptive act or practice in commerce in violation of section 5(a) of the Federal Trade Commission Act 15 U.S.C. 45(a). For your benefit and as a gesture of my goodwill, I have enclosed the FTC’s required informational disclosure entitled “Credit Reports: What Furnishers Need To Know,†which defines and clarifies your responsibilities and potential liability as an Information Furnisher. Should you not be able or willing to provide me with the substantiating documentation as verification of the present reporting, to cure these violations, within the next 10 days, please have the information deleted from each of the Credit Reporting Agencies (Transunion, Experian and Equifax) you have furnished it to as required. Should you again fail to fulfill your mandated duties and responsibilities, I will have no other recourse but to consider bringing legal action against Capital One for its continued non-compliance and violation of the FCRA, under which is provided an individual cause of action for enforcing its provisions. Sincerely, Shaquita025

  17. Just wanted to share my story.... I haven't had a new car since 2001 and that turned into a repo, but two weeks ago the credit Gods smiled on me and I drove off the lot with a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT2. I had actually been a cash is king person due to crappy credit and in April 2005 I bought my ultimate dream SUV...a 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It was cherry, completely restored and ran like a dream. Then in August of 2005 Hurricane Katrina came through and the Wag was no more. A car was essential because of my job location and my family and I were relocated to Houston temporarily so I was forced to get some kind of vehicle. I ended up with a 2001 Maxima with 85,000 miles and a 21% interest rate, which sucked. I had it for just about one year and paid on time every month and I just decided that I shouldn't have to drive a car that was so opposite of my personality. So I'm still repairing and reading and worst case scenario in 2009 I'll be golden but I do hope to get more deletions before then. In addition to the credit Gods I have to thank my partner for acting as a cosigner and CB for all the great stuff I've learned. The interest rate on my new loan is 10.75% through CitiFinancial Auto, but considering I'm still working on some of my toughest baddies (i.e. Crap One) and my partner has her own Banckruptcy from 2002 I think we did o.k. Thanks again to Marv and other CB'ers that give awesome advice
