  1. Hello Why Chat, Well, I wish I could say that your program worked for me, albeit I'm glad I cannot. Repeated calls to the OC finally paid off, as I was able to speak to someone who was willing to take my payment information and I PAID THE COLLECTION DEBT IN FULL TO THE OC, they having not once expressed that the debt was sent to another party. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am, as I only recently cleared my reports from the baddies, and had been (within days) pre-approved for a 300k mortgage. I started sweating bullets when I realized that the lender would more than likely pull my credit prior to closing, which could take weeks. Enough time, I thought, for the negative remarks to post. That being said, I can't express my gratitude for being such a Samaritan, and wish I could tip you for your services to us all...(Bitcoin?) I may go ahead and send the CA a dispute letter, just to make sure comm's do not get crossed and foul up my first home purchase. I wish you could see my face. Beaming ear-to-ear like an idiot. To all the others in my situation, my perseverance and a 1/15 chance that I was connected to a helpful "associate" paid off. Never stop trying. To you, Why Chat, I wish you the BEST in ALL of your endeavors. You give us all hope... If you're ever in NW CO, I'd love to meet on the level and have a beer with you. You're positively awesome. Thank you.
  2. Long story short, I have been contacted by a CA for an outstanding medical debt I was unaware of. After contacting the OC, seeking a payment arrangement/pay in full, I was rejected and referred to the CA. The 30-day window runs out tomorrow, and I've just sent a package intercept through USPS to stop a certified DV request after finding your intriguing information. As stated before, I AM willing to pay the OC and keep this from affecting my credit, as I am planning on purchasing my first home in 18 months. My questions are: 1: Was the package intercept a good idea? I decided to execute the intercept after noticing that contacting the CA was not included in your HIPAA sequence. Additional information: The debt has not yet been reported to the CRA's... 2: If you recommend contacting them for a DV, can I send an email with a read-receipt, instead? 3: Assuming I acted appropriately with preventing their obtaining the DV request, how should I proceed? Should I wait for the account to be reported to the CRA and then start the process, or...? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!! Thank you for your knowledge, willingness to share it, and dedication to helping others!
