So. I'm not back. I haven't been on in years. But Drt Pm'd me a link to this thread, which honestly, has not crossed my mind even one time in many years. Hope everyone is doing well, I'm going back into the abyss of the internet machine.

Two Charged in Death of 9 Year Old Girl
squirrelgirl replied to Creditchick's topic in General Discussion
Only an elite runner is going to be finishing a marathon distance in under three hours. An average/novice runner will be doing less than 15 most likely. ETA - for a female (in 2011-2012) to qualify for the Olympic Trials, a marathon had to be completed in under 2:45. Less than 200 women qualified. FYI. -
So. I haven't been in the credit forums for ages. Long story short. Divorce+unemployment+living off credit cards=BK7 just discharged last week. I went from cards with an average credit limit of $25,000 to my FIRST APPROVAL SINCE 2007. Captial One Platinum, CL $500, no AF for the first year (then $29). Let the rebuilding begin.

I actually had people trying to talk me OUT of running San Fran. WTH?? I know it is not an easy course, but um, hello, like I do stuff because it's "easy." I think it will be one of the best courses I've ever run and I'm pretty excited about it. -

I consider myself to be pretty self-sufficient

I do it all. Except shovel snow. For two reasons. 1. I hate the damn snow. 2. I hate the damn cold. I don't mind mowing the lawn. -
Yes. All those!! Plus I apparently will be in Cali a half dozen or so times throughout the year. Another visit or two to TX. random handful of other states. And the BIG one this year? PERU. I'm so stupidly excited for that. Um. And all these are "run-cations." If J and I are still together (lol), maybe I'll go camping or something with him

Is she gonna "run" it with us?! PS, My fingers are crossed for Wherever=Irvine. YES!! She is "running' with us. Will be AWESOME. And you will have your own personal photographer (me) to document all the awesome-ness of your first marathon. Out of the 6 marathons I've run, I did FOUR by myself. TWO were in other countries. Well, three, if you count Texas -

Next adventure? Seattle? San Fran? Wine and Dine? Take your pick... PS. I managed to peer pressure L into running Seattle with us. NOW YOU HAVE TWO PEOPLE TO RUN WITH YOU FOR YOUR FIRST MARATHON!!! As an aside. This is gonna be an AWESOME year. And with all my races on the west coast I should totally just move there. L is running the full!??!!? Please move! Say yes!! Yes. The full. It's going to be 26.2 miles of... awesome. Wherever an awesome job is, that's where I am... Wherever that may be. -

I'm curious: How many of you all have met in real life?

I never knew that. That's terrible. It's only money. -
Snork and others who get a lot of at home deliveries

UPS and FedEx just leave stuff on my doorstep. They don't even knock or ring the bell. I don't think they have EVER left a note. Especially annoying because there are weeks that we will get a dozen packages... Someday, someone in my neighborhood is going to rip me off. -

So... three weeks until we plan the next adventure? THREE WEEKS!!! A still knows nothing. -
The adult would probably be 26.2 miles, not km. Lots of folks started with the C25K. Even if you don't run a 5K, I guarantee you can walk one. My mom is in her late 60s and walks them pushing a stroller.

Years ago (like 4 maybe), I was able to do this... I think I even did it online in the past, although it is probably something that has to be done on the phone with a rep now.

A is 6. She has to keep her room clean. She also helps clean the hardwood floors, set the table for dinner, "help" do dishes. She also dusts, helps fold and put away her laundry. She does not get an allowance.

What movie have you watched 100's of times
squirrelgirl replied to beli's topic in General Discussion
When I was a tween: The Little Mermaid Clue The Cutting Edge I know them all by heart. Nowadays I don't watch anything that often, but movies I will watch more than once (but haven't seen more than a dozen times): Office Space A Night at the Roxbury Titanic The Notebook I Am Legend Cube -
I have a friend that SWEARS by these... I'm too paranoid I'll hurt myself with the crazy obstacles, so they are out for me until at LEAST 2013...
