  1. EX 554 The other ones, do you have to sign up for cards to get those? All the ones Ive clicked so far want you to apply for a card. Thanks!
  2. *sigh* I know! To make matters worse, Im graduating in a month and most of the jobs I will be applying for will pull a credit report. Several of those will fall off in a couple of months. I just need to start working on the rest. I did not get a paper copy. Is it too late to do that? I do not know my FICO scores, would love a reference on where to get them for cheap. Goals, purchase a home. Without the highest interest rate out there. Get a job. Need a decent score for this. Maybe 620-650?
  3. Thanks guys! I will start the BT process then!
  4. I am embarrassed to even post this, but I need your help if I am ever going to dig myself out of this hole. This is everything on my 3 credit reports. I pulled them from annualcredit report. My FAKO sores are according to CK are: TU 550, EQ 536 In Feb I talked to a mortgage broker and asked her to pull my credit to tell me what I needed to work on. She gave me scores of 537. I know I need to start on getting the old addresses and phone numbers off there first. I have to go get a new license made to do this which is a giant pita because I have a CDL. What else can I start working on? I have read WhyChat's medical stuff as that is the majority of my collections but it's a little lot overwhelming! 5. Cap1 said I have to have the account for 3 months before they will consider a CLI. The current BT offer I have is a 1 time deal.
  6. Thanks! I was wondering though... I've read some things on here saying you need 3-5 cards. Would these count for that? I am not going to close them but don't plan on using them anymore either.
  7. Thanks! I do know that, sadly I'm a finance major. You can't tell that from looking at my credit though. I've learned a lesson the hard way... never trust your spouse to be taking care of everything!! Cap1 goes to 24.9% but I will have the full amount from both cards paid off by then.
  8. I doubt it. It is a brand new card. The paper that came with the promo said CLI after 5 months of on time payments. I have already run it up and paid it off once though so I am hoping that will show them some good faith and maybe bump it up earlier.
  9. I downloaded the reports from annualcreditreports Does that count? I will work on making a neat list of everything and post here for help.
  10. I finally got my first bank cards and am thinking of doing a BT to save some of the interest charges and would like your input. My credit scores are very low, and obviously trying to bring them up. I've been working on paying off the CC debt and think if I do BTs to my other cards I would at least save a little. I know it won't much, but have figured it would save aprox $12/mth. Here is what I am working with: 0/300 Cap1 transfer for 0% interest until Dec 17th,2018 No BT fee 0/3700 NFCU 18%, no BT fee 187/640 1 Comenity 24.99% Have been paying bewttn 50-75/mth to pay off 516/750 2 Comenity 26.24% Have been paying between 35-50/mth to pay off. Was planning to increase this amount once the 1comenity is PIF. Should I just transfer the 1 comenity to the cap1 card and then the 2nd comenity to the NFCU? I would like to maximize the use of the 0% though for even more savings.
  11. Thank you! I got my reports a couple of days ago. I have opted out. I saw I need to delete old names and addresses. Theres about 15 addresses on there and 8 variations of my name. Im a little confused as to what to say to get them to delete these though? I will try to take a little time each week to work on it.
  12. Hello everyone! Newbie here... first time post! I separated from my husband 4 years ago. I was always a stay at home mom or worked very part time just to pay for the kids' activities. Since then I have learned what awful credit I have. I have been working on it the best I can. It started out at 406 and now my CK socres are TU 550 and EX 536. I have dabbled in this on my own for this time. I have tried disputing some things and I believe this worked for some, but I still have a lot on my credit reports. I really wanted to buy a home before the new year but am realizing that may be a pipe dream. I want to work on these methods posted here but am scared to mess something up. Also, I don't have a ton of time. I'm a single mom, work 1 full time job, 1 part time job, plus go to school full time. Is there someone you recommend that I can hire to help me? Several bad debts are medical bills. Some paid, some unpaid. I have had non medical in collections and have paid them all or settled, but didn't know to request a PFD. I have one that is not paid that I am saving up for. My car loan shows several lates because my ex pays this and he doesn't always pay on time. I can't always cover the expense of it. I have store cards that have small balances and are paid on time every month. I have been working on paying them off. I was just approved for 3700 for TFCU card and a 300 cap 1 unsecured card. thanks in advance for your recommendations!
