  1. Being that Amex uses current CLs to calculate CLIs it will effect both cards. Say you have 2 cards each a 5k CL and move 2.5k to one, so you now have a 2.5k CL and a 7.5k CL card Assuming you are eligible for a 3x CLI the 7.5k card will be eligible for an increase up to 22.5k, while the 2.5k card will only be eligible for 7.5k. So yes, there definitely are ways to play this well to your advantage.
  2. Citi has amazing transfer partners. You're killing me by wasting them like this. Turkish Airlines for one, it would be 30k in Economy, or 45k in Business one way from North America with minimal fees (usually), and this can be used to book any Star Alliance partner. Better yet they have a feature where you can book up to the last seat, so basically guaranteed availability on Turkish metal for 45k one way in Economy, or 105k one way in business.
  3. You need to weigh the benefits vs. The huge annual fee. For year one its easily worth it. Do you book a lot of travel directly with airlines for 5x? Do you travel a lot in economy and have a good use for the lounge access? Etc...
  4. Only US carriers have that fee. If Delta was booking on a saver level you could have had a look at one of their partners like Air France or Virgin Atlantic which transfer from MR fee free, and are often cheaper. Do you have a Business Platinum with AA selected for 35% back? (Giving a nearly 1.55 cent per point value) Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Not the greatest, but pretty solid, one ways on weekends are usually the best value. PS. Up to a premium is the same rate. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  6. I missed your replies in the earlier post. You can theoretically upgrade he Freedom, and downgrade after transfering. Or add an AU and close within 30 days for an AF refund. (And get her a Priority Pass for this trip as well if she doesn't have yet)
  7. Correct you'd have to call after booking. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  8. You can't transfer with mismatching names. Option A: transfer UR-UR to her, then her UR to her Hyatt. Option B: Add her as an AU on your UR account and transfer to her Hyatt (can only do this to one person ever) Option C: Add her as a second guest, which should be no problem, especially with matching last names. But the best option would be if you are a Globalist member you can book her a Guest of Honor booking in her name. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  9. Do you have a link to this offer? Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  10. Discover 12k=>13.5k Citi AA, 11k=>14k offered to request more with a pull which I declined. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  11. By me all cards on EX are rounded to the first, and TU and EQ are reported to the exact day.
  12. Is that only on EX where accounts are reported as opened on the 1st, or even TU and EQ where they are reported according to the actual date they still age on the 1st?
  13. A smaller bank that's been around forever with a killer name.
  14. Amex Delta Gold business 25K, highest Amex CL if only it was a personal card...
