  1. I have a collection from an ambulance ride 4 years ago. On the paperwork I listed my mom as my emergency contact and not as financially responsible. The CRA listed the account as joint with both of us listed. Its on her report, she disputed it several years ago but they told her it was a valid debt. What can she or I do to ha e this removed from her report?

  3. Well, there have been some interesting comments and heated debate about this topic. Yes, the debtviscon my credit report. The debt has been on my report since 2013 I didn't dispute when first received notice. They're also reporting an increased amount owed monthly of anywhere between $1 and $4 but I have never agreed to a payment plan or acknowledge that I owe it, plus it's definitely not accrued interest. The amount owed is $1600.00. I disputed and it's on the credit report asv"account In dispute - reported by subscriber". What makes this even worse is I filed a complaint with CFPB and they didn't respond for over a month and then when they did they said they were researching it and the CFPB closed it! In addition they added my mom to it even though she's not a guarantor and was only listed as my emergency contact! I was 40 so she's definitely not responsible for my debt. She disputed on her credit but they said it's valid and won't remove it!
  4. I bought a new car (YAY) but now I have 12 new inquires in addition to 7 I already had - yes, I now have a whopping 18 inquiries!!! When I applied for a new credit card I was denied because I have too many inquiries. I attempted to dispute them but CRA responded that they're valid because I applied for credit so they won't be removed. In my letter I did not acknowledge that I had bought a car but I suspect that it was obvious since I have a new auto trade line. This was not the first time I had applied for a car loan, 6 months earlier I had talked to my credit union and bank about refinancing the car I had so they ran my credit as well. In addition I had received 3 new credit cards (YAY) but, wowers, 18 is A LOT! I know that they stay on the report for 2 years and I fear this will hinder future credit requests. I had started to build my business credit so that I could expand my business but I know that creditors will look at my personal credit so this looks extra bad. Now what?
  5. I sent a validation request letter to the collection company and received the green card back but it's been more than 30 days and I haven't received a response. Now what?
  6. I did not have insurance, the surgery was in Las Vegas August 2011. I have not made any payments to the doctor or CA, I have not made payment arrangements and I have not confirmed that I owe the debt.
  7. I received a letter from a debt collector with my medical records clearly showing my information including procedures, ICD 9 codes and billing info. Now what?
