  1. 3rd Party. There is nothing on any CR regarding OC Webbank
  2. Hmmm, I can see if I can get ahold of bank records that far back, but I DO know I didn't make any payments in 2015. And the last payment I made (not sure of the date) was a full payment; I never made partial payments with them. Yes, this was ONLY for Dell via their website. Wasn't really a card but a line of credit (is that one in the same??). If I can't find my bank records, would it be advisable to get that payment info from PRA? After all, if they bought my account, they would need all that info to 'enforce' any SOL or other enforcement in a court, right, otherwise they wouldn't even have a case if I brought up the SOL? They have been calling but I just ignore them and block their many thousands of numbers but I would love to C&D them anyway.
  3. I'm not sure if it is their first letter but they have been calling me for the past year from their over 1000 phone numbers...even if it isn't their first letter, can I still DV them? I heard PRA is tough to get to delete, but there is 2.5 years left in SOL according to my CR that Dell reported so the threat of a lawsuit is still there, esp with the high $$ amount. what state are you in ? what was the DOFD? Dell is in Utah 4 year SOL you may have borrowing statutes available I'm in MO (5 year SOL). Here is what my Dec 13, 2017 OFFICIAL mailed Experian report says: Date opened: Aug 2015 First Reported: Nov 2015 Date of Status: Nov 2015 It does say that 'This account is scheduled to continue on record until June 2020'...wouldn't that mean that this should SOL (5 years) in Jun 2018? I can't find the DOFD on this on my Experian (or TransUnion...it says 'placed for collection 8/2015' and 'item will be removed 8/2020'). Should I DV them to see about DOFD? Going back, it does seem that it was around 2013/2014 that I last paid DFS (Dell Financial Services/Webbank) although no Webbank/DFS shows up on any CR (it is now PRA).
  4. I hope you realize they have no obligation to fill in those blanks. You are not going to see the desired results in anywhere near the expeditious manner that you might hope for...you don't even indicate how much time you have spent learning the LAW at either the State or federal level as applies to the particular claim. IMO, you would do far better to work on a letter that asserted an abrogation of the right to notice and dispute prior to insertion into the credit report. It seems that you are taking actions without understanding WHY you are taking them. You have no gameplan... Always remember that, if they are willing to settle today, they would STILL be willing to settle down the road, especially towards the end of a month (or even better, end of a quarter). Centex, You are correct: I do NOT know the law very well. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this, and as 'cheaply' as possible. If I had the funds, I'd just PIF. Can you expand on the 'IMO, you would do far better to work on a letter that asserted an abrogation of the right to notice and dispute prior to insertion into the credit report.' suggestion? Thanks
  5. Posts like yours gives me hope. I have a few big collections ($700+) so I doubt I can get CRAs to remove them; those CAs are money-hungry. Hoping by next Christmas, mine can be over 640
  6. Sweet. I'm in the process of doing the same thing. I'm about 546 on all Vantage score 3.0 & have had several medical collections removed, now working on regular TL collections. Did you just leave your collections alone and let them drop off your CRs?
  7. Thanks, Centex. PRA is reporting on my CRs. I plan on using WhyChat's template: https://whychat.me/ltrcaval.html
  8. Maybe I'll DV them, then, even though they probably (maybe?) sent a letter a while ago. Hate to miss this opportunity to 'settle for less', though.
  9. I'm not sure if it is their first letter but they have been calling me for the past year from their over 1000 phone numbers...even if it isn't their first letter, can I still DV them? 10. Got a letter from PRA today for a $3500 Dell Financial debt, and in it they offer 2 payment options: PIF (gives me several monthly payment options) or Settle-in-Full (again, gives me several 'more affordable' monthly payment options). Webbank (Dell) has charged it off so PRA did purchase it. I'm thinking of going with the settle-in-full as it is more affordable for me. Question: what implications would a settle-in-full have on my CS? It is already in collections, and my latest Vantage score is 547 (it's been bumped up thanks to WhyChat and his HIPAA guides). Will this 'reset' any deletion dates (currently set for deletion in 2022...I don't want to 'reset' the clock with this)? Any thoughts from the experts? Thanks
  11. Just checked my Equifax report via the backdoor, and none of them have been deleted. TU deleted all a few days after they received it. I'll give it another week or so since they have 30 days and they received it on 12/2. I know Equicraps is all messed up right now due to their security breach but they STILL should do things for the consumers rather quickly.
  12. Good luck. I'm at a crossroads on what I plan on doing. I may just leave it alone
  13. Ack! I take it that it is a nightmare dealing with them? That's what I'm afraid of doing.
  14. Forget I mentioned Lexington Law for any help. Been reading some of their 'generic' work that is a waste of $$, most of which I can do. I just need 'expert' advice on how to accomplish this without being terrorized (my words) by them since they are being 'quiet' at this point.
  15. Yes, Experian that I recently pulled.
  16. All, Been cleaning up my reports and successfully removed medical collections on my TU (haven't heard back from the other 2 CRAs but am still hopeful) using Why Chat's guide. Early next year I want to tackle 2 PRA accounts. I've been reading up on some PRA threads on this board and seems like they can be a bear and I'm not sure I want to poke them; so far they haven't bothered me except for a call here and there (I don't answer unknown calls) and they never leave voicemails. Anyway, I can't remember if they ever sent me letters; they may have but I don't remember. Here are the 'stats' on both accounts so I can't tell DOFD: Account name PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES Account number XXXXXXXXXX Recent balance $708 as of 11/08/2017 Date opened 06/2017 Status Collection account. $708 past due as of Nov 2017. 120 CORPORATE BLVD STE 100 NORFOLK, VA 23502 844 675 3408 Address identification number 0316901150 Original creditor HSBC BANK NEVADA N.A. Type Debt Buyer Terms 1 Months On record until Aug 2022 Account name PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES Account number XXXXXXXXXXX Recent balance $3,801 as of 11/08/2017 Date opened 08/2015 Status Collection account. $3,801 past due as of Nov 2017. 120 CORPORATE BLVD STE 100 NORFOLK, VA 23502 844 675 3408 Address identification number 0316901150 Original creditor WEBBANK Type Debt Buyer Terms 1 Months On record until Jun 2020 Does the 'On Record Until XXX' mean that it is on my CR until that time? SOL in MO is 5 years so they have plenty of time to take me to court but since they haven't really pestered me, I don't want to bug them, if you get my drift. I thought about DV'ing both accounts since I can't remember if they sent me letters but if I did, would this be a bad way to provoke them and come after me with guns blazing? It would be great to get them off my reports and I really don't have the $$ to pay them off...'maybe' 10% for each account but that is as far as I could go. What about using the Lexington Law to help? If you 'veterans' were in my shoes with the above information, what would you do? Wait it out? DV them? This is alot of $$ for me so I want to go the best, easiest, cheapest route. Thanks all!
  17. Why Chat, I'm only going on what I can see on CK. I don't have 'free' access to Experian that I know of. So, I will wait patiently. I did receive an actual TransUnion letter yesterday confirming those deletions
  18. CK just updated my profile; as before, TU showed disputed medical collections as deleted, but no action taken on Equifax on ANY of the accounts...grrrrrr! Still waiting patiently, then next year I'm going to tackle a TL account then I will be golden
  19. Well, according to WalletHub, 5 medical collections that I inquired for TransUnion CRA were removed (sweet) but my score dropped 2 points between yesterday (no delete) & today (deletions). Why would that happen if nothing else changed? Still waiting on Experian & Equifax
  20. I've been looking and haven't found an answer to this, so if it has been mentioned somewhere, please point me in that direction. I'm looking for any sites like Credit Karma to help monitor all 3 CRAs (preferably free or very low cost). Anything out there that is useful, and maybe even gives a FICO 8 score? Thanks so much. I sent all 3 CRAs some medical disputes as per Why Chat so I'm anxiously waiting to hear back with (hopefully) good news...crossing my fingers. Then, I plan on tackling some of the non-medical TLs.
