  1. I just subtracted 2 years from my TU remove date. SOL in MO is 5 years. That is one reason why I asked PRA for last payment date and/or statement. That is one thing that is confusing me is the HSBC/Cap One....I had several regular Cap One cards, never one converted from HSBC though. Those older Cap One cards are still listed, although closed, on my reports...none referenced HSBC/Cap One and none had a $7XX listed...they both list $0/paid, not sold.
  2. I didn't do cut/paste on my letter. I just asked for last statement, last payment, and when it was 'sold'. They just told me when it was 'sold' to them. Honestly, I don't even remember this 'card' at all, so that is why I asked them for a statement so I could go 'yeah, now I remember'. I'll just wait til the SOL clock ticks over in a month or so then ask for settlement/deletion. Otherwise, I'll just wait out the 2 years. It's my last one so it's not much of a big deal if it remains. I got most of the big ones removed/dropped due to age. I have had zero missed payments on any accounts for over 2.5 years, and so far things are looking alot better at this point.
  3. Thanks. I may wait until it hits the SOL clock, then email settle for less/delete, otherwise, they won't get a dime. This is the last collection I have (whew!). It will be nice to have that section of my reports completely blank! Been a LONG road for me. I did buy a new 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 in March! I got exactly what I wanted (dealer had to go find it at another dealership 200 miles away), and got 'fair' financing....in a few months, I may look at refinancing at a better rate but at least it isn't double-digits right now.
  4. What would you suggest? SOL is coming up very soon (within the next month or so, according to my TransUnion report). I don't mind paying it just to get it removed from my CR, but was hoping to do it for free, or at a reduced cost. I guess I could just wait out the 2 years to drop, too.
  5. It has been a bit since I last posted. Slowly, but steadily, I have been conquering my 'past demons' and my CS shows. Anyway, PRA has a collection on all 3 of my reports for a HSBC/Capital One card for $708. Honestly, I don't remember it at all, and it doesn't show in my 'delinquent' past credit card accounts at all. I ask them for a validation, including last statement, last payment, etc. Today, I get a one page generic letter that says that it was transferred to PRA on 6/21/2017. Here is what it says: 'At the time of the sale, the Seller provided an electronic file of its business reconds containing information concerning the account; a summary of which can be found below.......' Here is the summary: Account holders name: my last name Last 4 SSN: correct Date opened: 7/7/2010 That is it. No statement. No last payment. Nothing. In all honesty, hackers could get that info. Do they have to provide last statement? If they sue, and that is all they have noted above, that would prove nothing, correct (I'm not worried about them suing, BTW)? I want to send another letter DEMANDING (which I did to begin with) statement, last payment, etc or else remove it completely from my credit reports. I bow to the wisdom of this forum for advice.
  6. I have the email addresses of the CEO, COO, SVP of Risk at Genesis-FS (the card issuer). I wonder if I emailed one or all of them a GW letter and plead for mercy? It DID work with my charged-off Cred1 accounts almost immediately. Thoughts?
  7. Thanks. I'm shooting for 700 by this time next year. I just wish I could remove some of these closed/CO accounts like the one I mentioned earlier.
  8. If it helps, in the 'Comments' section on my Experian regarding this acct, it says 'Transferred to another lender or claim purchased'. No other CA or any JDB has contacted me about this at all, and isn't in collections. If Milestone lists this as 'Closed' and '$0' balance/past due, can they still update monthly with 'Fail to Pay'?
  9. I tried to post a screenshot from my Experian report, but guess I can't. Anyway, here is what it says: Account Status: Closed Status Updated: May 1, 2016 Balance: --- Balance Updated: Mar 1, 2017 The first 30 day negative was Nov 2015 Then, 60 on Dec 2015, 90 Jan 2016, 120 Feb 2016, 120 Mar 2016, 120 on Apr 2016...then 'On Time' from May 2016 until the last 'status' of On Time on Mar 2017
  10. It has been a while since I last posted, and I appreciate all the help and advice. Over the summer, we got my wife a 2015 Rogue AWD via Capital One Auto, also got CLI on my Cap1 from $300 to $500 (I know, not a HUGE increase). Biggest surprise was when my Discover IT secure card ($300) sent me back my deposit AND increased my limit to $2000! I have been keeping all my limits low, and am still 'cleaning' up my reports. One item I have that I would like removed is a 'closed' account (not charged-off) of Milestone credit card. They aren't showing a balance. Last status update was May 1, 2016, with balance updated March 1, 2017. Funny thing is, from May 2016 through March 2017, it all shows 'On Time' on my official Experian report. The last 'negative' was Apr 2016 with 120 days late. So, without rocking the boat and have them start updating negative status each month, what would be the best way to get rid of this account off my reports? From the DOFD, this 'should' fall off in 2022 but would like it gone earlier if possible. Thanks for any help or info.

  12. Any thoughts? FP (not the CA) responded to my DV, in which I also included that "If credit card agreement provides for arbitration, I elect arbitration to settle FP and (name of CA) claims against me." Nothing was mentioned in the DV response by FP, so should I go ahead and file AAA or just let it be? I don't want the CA to start reporting it, and maybe I can get FP to delete the charge-off tradeline. Thanks
  13. Well, following the long, drawn-out Midland/Cred1 AAA arbitration (I 'won' as it was dropped by Midland prior to in-person hearing), I want to file arb with First Premier (card agreement says AAA). Total 'owed' is $799 but it isn't reported in Collections yet on any of my CRs; I received a letter from a CA about this. Haven't sent a DV yet (which I plan to, in order to buy time). Not sure my mistake was with filing Midland and arbitration to prolong that case (several phone conferences with their lawyer and arb judge...it was driving me nuts), but I want to avoid it this time. Should I not DV them and just file AAA arb? I think I DV'd Midland, and then filed AAA as I assumed that was correct but am not sure now after that 'fiasco'. I did some Googling and some other credit forums said that FP will fold once served with AAA paperwork and several people said they got a letter from FP saying that they are no longer collecting due to possible Identity theft and removed all entries from CRs (none of them claimed ID theft). So, DV, wait for FP/CA to return any verification, then file arb, or just go ahead and file AAA arb? Just looking for advice on this. I am slowly gaining traction with my scores and am surprise on my progress so far 😉 Thanks so much. I do appreciate it all.
  14. Today I asked arb administrator if fees were paid, and he replied that they have paid their fees to-date. So much for them not going through arb for something that is less than $1000
  15. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Arb judge wants another phone hearing next week.
