  1. I spun the wheel Wed. at 8:50 PM Pacific (10 minutes before Midnite Eastern Time). Got the 5-7 message. Been checking yesterday and today and no increase or reallocation. I suppose that I didn't get anything.
  2. Where does the money come from? From your Wamu credit card or Wamu checking account? You have a choice. I selected one of my checking accounts. The first payment must be scheduled no earlier than 4 business days but subsequent payments can be made in only 2 days. I'm not clear if they pay electronically or mail a check.
  3. I pay all of my CC's with the individual bank's online-billpay from their website but I just got a US Bank Visa and you can only pay them electronically if you have a USBank checking/savings (I don't). I see that WaMu offers free billpay and I'd like to use it but don't really trust them to do the right thing. Has anyone used WaMu's bill pay function to send a check to a creditor? Did they do it in time and without any problems? Please let me know.
  4. Do you live in that area? I live in La Quinta (about 20 miles east of PS).
  5. I paid $2.959 yesterday in the Palm Springs area but some stations are over $3.
  6. I just asked for a "blank" increase just like I did in Oct. and Dec. of last year but instead of "instant approval" I got the 5-7 day message. They pulled a soft on EXP but I did notice that the softs from them in Oct. & Dec. are no longer there. I don't know why.
  7. That funny. I just got my first US Bank statement and they are only asking for a 1% payment. I was surprised since everyone is raising their minimum payment and claiming that government guidelines have forced them to do it.
  8. SG I got tired of waiting since 6/05 so I called this weekend and they gave me a $1,000 bump w/o a hard. I went from $8,500 to $9,500. Big deal! Even Discover gave me a higher CLI when I asked.
  9. While I'll agree that it's a bargain if you BT $10K, most people do a smaller transaction. If you BT only $2K, the old fees at 3% would be $60. Now at 5%, that jumps to $100. That's a big jump.
  10. I don't know if this has been posted before but... The mail brought another batch of BT checks from various banks and Providian's now show a 5% BT fee with a $150 cap. People, please read the fine print before you use any BT checks from any bank. They'll sneak in a change of terms from the prior batch and you could wind up paying hundreds of dollars for no good reason.
  11. Citigroup just announced that they've hired Gary Crittenden away from Amex so he can become their CFO. Crittenden was instrumental in engineering Amex's turnaround after the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Oh Oh!
  12. I just noticed that Chase pulled 2 softs yesterday on Experian. They haven't done that in about 2 years. I have 2 accounts with them so I can understand the duplication. I thought that everyone would want to know what Chase is up to, that's all.
  13. I worked on Spear St. for a couple of years and, yes, SF is a spectacular city for the views but not for the politics.
  14. Certainly nothing to shake a stick at with an average CLI of $2,400. Congrats!
  15. I placed an order online at 1:38 PM today (Pacific Time) feeling that it wouldn't even be looked at until Monday but NO! I just got an email with the UPS shipping number at 4:05 today that's it's shipped! Now that is service.
