    LVNV/Credit One Bank Results

Thank you for the response, @legaleagle2012. What exactly would be accomplished with going through arbitration? Couldn't I sue LVNV for reporting inaccurate information?

    LVNV/Credit One Bank Results

LVNV Isn't a CA - they are a JDB, and Credit one no longer owns the account any payment made to Credit one will go to LVNV Thanks for the input. Isn't it odd that the estimated date for LVNV to fall out the report is the same date as Credit One? Also, can Credit One report the charge off the way that they did on the Experian report? And isn't LVNV reporting like a credit card company on the Experian report? FCRA reporting limits for CC accounts apply regardless of change of ownership the DOFD rules the game technically, LVNV Shouldn't be reporting an open account placed for collection - the account was closed by the OC, they cannot reopen it Each CRA has it's idiosyncrasies on verbiage it would be nice if they all had the same stuff that meant the same things..... read the CDIA credit reporting manual in the resources/ database forum it's like the tax code or medical billing coding, ...... and then consider the variety of folks entering in the data - I"m sure there are workers who understand it and hit all the complexity dead on, but I'll guestimate that it's maybe 1%. It looks as though LVNV is continuing to report what Credit One would have reported if they retained ownership.

    LVNV/Credit One Bank Results

I have been reading and studying this website for months now. I am down to just two baddies on my credit reports-- LVNV and Credit One Bank. From the info on this site, I sent out dispute letters to the CRA to dispute items regarding LVNV such as the way they reported. I received a response from Equifax. The funny thing is now LVNV has basically duplicated the listing as Credit One Bank! Credit One Bank is now listed twice on the report. So, I'm going to send Equifax a letter to tell them to delete the duplicate. Here is what the updated report looks like on Experian for LVNV and Credit One Bank: And here is the updated report looks like on Transunion for LVNV and Credit One Bank: These listings do not look right. What is wrong with them?

Debt Buyers' Proof of Authority to Collect

Thank you very much for your response. So, if I dispute the open date as being inaccurate and ask them to prove the date with a bill of sale, isn't that a valid dispute? The reason why I ask is because I have received "validations" over the past three years with different dates of sale. The validations were merely letters saying "The account was sold to... on ..." Each validation had a different date.

Debt Buyers' Proof of Authority to Collect

How does the debt buyer prove they have the authority to collect? Anybody can say that you owe them because they bought the debt, but if I say "prove it" how can they prove it?
  10. I have a question regarding debt buyers. When a person disputes the "open date" reported on a credit report, is the absolute proof that the date is "accurate" is a bill of sale or an assignment that gives the debt buyer the authority to collect?
  11. I have LVNV Funding on my credit report also. What did you do to get them to reach an agreement? Was the account pass the statute of limitation for your state? LVNV Funding and Credit One Are Left

I'm not afraid if they sue because I have been much better with my money over the last couple of years. My issues with them is the amount that they say I owe and the them potentially violating laws. If I could negotiate a pay for delete, I would even do that, but I hear that they don't do that.
