  1. When it came to EX, I tried multiple times to get my old addresses deleted, to no avail. The only way I was able to get them all deleted was to lie point blank and tell them that I had never lived at the address and that the account connected to the address was fraud...........they then sent out a fraud alert to the other CRAs after deleting. I just found it ridiculous why TU and EQ deleted the addresses with no questions asked, yet EX held on to them as though they were gold. TU and EQ deleted everything I asked. EX deleted all but one address stating its linked to accounts. I told them it was my Aunts address and not mine but they wouldn't budge. I didn't want to say fraud because I didn't want anything to turn legal. How long ago did you do yours and was anything else said after the fraud alert? Thanks. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk So when I called EX (this was about 6 months ago), I asked for the fraud department and explained that there were addresses on my report that I had never lived at and I wanted them removed......so when they came back and said that there were accounts connected to these addresses, the woman asked me are these accounts fraudulent and I had to say yes.......I felt very uncomfortable lying about it but once I told her it must be fraud, she just said fine and that the addresses would be deleted in 24 hours and a fraud alert sent out to the other CRAs. One thing to keep in mind though, if the accounts connected to the addresses are still reporting regularly then the addresses are likely to come back making this whole process pointless.........when I did my call to EX, all of the negative accounts except my BK had been removed prior to contacting them so I knew once they were deleted they wouldn't come back. You might want to work on getting your negatives removed from EX first before going after the addresses but that is up to you.I am, or was, doing WCs method for removing Med accounts and it calls for removing old addresses first. Ex is the only one who won't remove them because they are associated with the med accounts. I've had a lot going on recently and hope to be back working on this soon. Going to fire off some letters to TU now that all those addresses are removed from their records. Thanks for your input! Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  2. Ok, I have the addresses removed from TU and EQ. Still working on EX. Just checked Credit Karma (not for the score, just for the activity) and it has updated on mine and my wife's TU that we now have missed payments from the collection accounts. We have both been reported at 100% until now. No payments have been made, all of the accounts are from 2012 due to fall this year, why are they now reporting missed or late payments? Thanks. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk Neither of our EQ reports are showing collections, just EX and TU. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk

  4. This address is tied to 2 1st Premier CO's that are paid less than full, due to fall off in 2021 and 3 medicals that are open. 2 are due to fall off at the end of the yr and one next yr. I haven't lived there in 5 yrs or so. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  5. I am having trouble with EX deleting one address. It is a former address that is linked to 3 medical collections. I am trying to do WhyChats method for removing these but it calls for removing old addresses. I've opted out via optoutprescreen.com and also opted out of LexisNexis. TU and EQ deleted no problem but I've written once and called EX 3 times and keep getting told no. Any advice on this? Thanks. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  6. Yes. Any negative you have will affect you for the full 7-10 years they report. Every profile and scoring model is different, and as such there is no exact data that would cover yours, but for scoring purposes except that these will be keeping you some 100 points below where you could be without them. Likewise, they may come up when someone is underwriting an account. In your case you've settled them, so they won't have as much an effect. Aside, the new FICO 9 model factors in paid/settled accounts less than unpaid COs, but at this time I cannot name a single lender that uses FICO 9. Unfortunately, I cannot speak of any previous success. You have two accounts, both charged off in the last three years, already settled, and settled for less than the full balance. That is somewhat of a tall order.I kind of figure it to be a long shot, I haven't really seen where anyone has had any luck removing these. I do thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions and sharing your thoughts on my situation!
  7. Just checking all my options. I knew paying the CA wasn't good, but have read paying the OC would force the CA to stop reporting. Will send out the letters snail mail as well. Thank you, Sir. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  8. I'm guessing you don't have any info regarding my question about First Premeir? [emoji41] Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  9. A little more info: 1.)card was opened 2/20/2012, DOFD 3/01/2014, Charged off paid for less than full balance 4/05/2015, on record till 01/2021 2.)card was opened 5/15/2013, DOFD 4/01/2014, Charged off paid for less than full balance 4/05/2015, on record till 02/2021 Anyone have any idea if these play a huge factor by being on my report? I have a few low balance cards, $1000 being the highest limit, that I am nurturing to help out that I have gotten since July 2016 and a couple of small installment loans and have been 100% on payment and usually have a low utilization of 10 to 15%. With the holidays I had gotten up to about 33% but am bringing that back down and should all be PIF by end of Feb. If anyone has any idea on how to remove these please share. They are associated to my current address so removing old addresses won't help on these two. Thanks! Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  10. Ok, I called all 3 Bureaus to remove old addresses, TU and Equifax no questions asked removed all addresses and phone numbers aside from my current one. Should receive notification by mail sometime. Experian on the other hand removed all old ones except for my last address. They said they could not remove it because it is linked to accounts on my report. I looked and the 3 medical collections are linked to that address. Any way around this, snail mail? (I know that's what I was supposed to do originally and I apologize, patience is my weak point) Thanks! Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  11. Gonna give it a go. I just opted out for my wife and myself. I got my free credit reports a few days ago, going to get hers today and I will be getting the old addresses taken care of. I'm this all takes time but I will update and may have questions along the way. A couple of questions I have now though are, should I just leave the one account for $100 that is due to fall in August alone and let it run its course? And if I were to pay the OC for these and write the CA would they be forced to remove the collections or could they still report something that will hurt my credit? Thanks for the input! 12. I have no doubt that it works, I'm just curious if the CAs would delete for payment how long it would take and also being that they are that old how big of a factor they play... If anyone wants to weigh in on this please feel free. Thanks.
  13. I have a total of three medical collections, 2 are on TU and on Experian the same two plus one more. They are relatively small, $100 that shows to fall off 8/17, $310 off 7/19 on TU. On Experian are these 2 and also one for $271 that doesn't say when it will fall off. Should I contact the CA to see if they will agree in writing to delete or should I do the guide to removing them from Why Chat? The open dates on these range from 2011 to 2013. I also received a letter wanting to settle within 30 days for one $601 that's not on my report, the 30 days was up a few days ago and I didn't respond, did I goof by not responding? Thanks for any info.
  14. I had 2 First Premeir cards from 2012 and 2013 that were closed with several late payments way over 90 days on each that I settled for less than full on April 1, 2015. Is there a way to get these removed from my reports? I have these and 3 medical bills from 2010-2011 that were last reported in 2013. I plan on taking care of the medical stuff pretty soon, I have a pretty good idea how to get these taken care of but I have no idea where to begin with the 1st Premeier negatives. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
