  1. It's all heading towards mobile friendly sites. Whether or not the company has apps you end up ranking higher also with search engines if they are easily accessible through phones and smaller screen devices. It makes sense as I've noticed even with my business over 60% of the people now visit using their phone. Prepare for more ugly sites!
  2. I have stolen this for my signature! Great analogy...
  3. If yours was C/O'd at 2007 then mine from 2009-2010 is still screwed lol. I heard it can be 10 years or longer; some get in quick but I know they don't BL forever but seems like a long time. NFCU of course is a different story. Once you get BL'd and the debt is never paid back you're BL'd for life.
  4. That sounds about right. However, they probably did an AR sometime around the end of May to get your updated score. But, you won't see the new FICO score until after July 1st which is the start of the next QTR. Pretty standard. You (and the rest of us) will get an update on the NG2 score within the coming month. July is when we'll see the next quarterly offers populate as well as a score update from this quarter. Ah I see. Thank you all
  5. Just type in "Marvel" in the database without selecting anything and you should see a pattern. Sync for Marvel is all TU. Mine was approved at 720 with some old baddies.
  6. It's weird since my FICO hasn't changed since end of Feb this year hmm.
  7. I agree with mec and think long term and not burn up your inquiries on toy cards and cards that won't benefit you in a long run (including non secure cards with annual fee). I'd work on the negatives and lower your utilization and get it cleaned up before applying for better cards. I know it's tempting to just start applying but don't make the same mistake like I did (too many toy cards for one).
  8. Perhaps but personally I like it. I think most websites are really targeting mobile users especially if they don't offer apps for each of the product. I wish Sync did have a mobile app for all the cards they offer.
  9. Hmm I might try this after I meet my spending with the gold biz.
  10. Same with BP and Sync is trying to update most of their portfolio to that Amazon look I believe.
  11. I never played around with Windows phone other than my old HTC Mogul that was running an ancient Windows O/S. I haven't got Samsung anything either after Galaxy S3 lol. Loved that phone. But I'll never go away from Android any time soon because of being able to root (and flash custom ROM) and make the phone smarter and automate things. It's beyond limited with iOS products as much as I love their design I probably won't own any of their phones (maybe the computer).
  12. I'll have to check Experian one of these days as when I created an account with Nav recently Experian is at "A" score (whoohoo!) with three accounts. I'm not sure what these three are but assuming one is my AMEX gold biz.
  13. WITH a signature from the CA. No written agreement, no settlement.
  14. They get clever (tries to at least) in their 'wording'. And some just outright violate the law but in either case if they call again I'd just screw with them. If you were being served you would've been LONG ago. They just want to confirm your identity and try to see if you'll pay up. And unfortunately many not knowing the law do...
  15. Looks like they changed the page format to what looks like on Amazon store card. So this means it's 'really' now monthly FICO. Can't have everything the way we want
  16. I believe the CO amount has to be paid in full; not sure if it's the 'negotiated' amount or the original balance but I think you'll need to talk to them. Long ago I was told any charge off will not allow you to get back into NFCU again but if it's paid in full completely I remember the collection account officer said there's a chance.
  17. I called one pesky JDB'er and they kept on threatening me, hanging up, said they will be sending the paperwork, etc and I kept calling (like 10 times at least) and to the point they threatened to call the cops. I said PLEASE DO. The supervisor finally answered and caved in that it's beyond SOL. Thought so, I told them good luck and never called since.
  18. Less than a year, I wouldn't poke the sleeping lion honestly. Assuming it's on all your three reports then you're likely get it dropped by TU in October which is soon.
  19. Yep...Target sent me a warning so I ran out and got a $6 item. For a $300 limit (lol) that never increases (assuming they like to see heavy usage).
  20. I'm sorry, Satander is near impossible to get them to agree from my own experience your hope is finding errors and forcing the CRA's to correct it. I'll keep it short but when I had my Santander closed in 2012 after paying the last bill I totaled my car three weeks after. I had late payments which of course was my fault but they started to report again as if I'm paying on the account. I had to get BBB & CFPB involved and Equifax actually deleted the entire account. Increased my lowest Equifax from 689 to 749 overnight. I wouldn't bother with goodwill's and anything from Santander. Get the CRA's involved; and that is, if you know what the errors are. Then file a CFPB complaint to all CRA's including the Santander. Let them furnish the information for you as you stated you don't know anything. Don't tell them you owe anything either.
  21. Ah okay that makes sense They did tell me the first 6 months is critical as well.
