  3. Thanks Quietman. Glad to be here.
  4. I'm keen to hear from the Student Loan guru as well. Going to be consolidating here in a couple weeks. I have one in default. I'm going to pay all of them off in 2 years once I consolidate. Unless I hear better plans here. I don't know what I don't know.
  5. Konrad2012, we'll take your advice. We looked into student cards for her. That won't be possible. She graduated end of December. We'll apply for each of those tonight. Thanks to all who took the time to help. We appreciate it.
  6. Thanks Kat58. I just wanted to doublecheck because that's the opposite of what I've been taught with Stephen Snyder of the After Bankruptcy Foundation. In his books and courses he says that to be sure to choose cards that report as unsecured.I know you guys have been at this a long time and I'm new to the forum. I just really want to be sure about this. Based on the community recommendations, we will be filling out forms tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi Konrad2012! Thanks for responding. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'm just a little confused on the reporting. I thought it was better to report as unsecured rather than secured. Do I have that reversed? From your post, it says that cards worth having report as secured. Was that intentional? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Thanks Kat58. 3 revolvers, no AFs, irrespective of CL, 6 months prior to mortgage. Check. What are the top 3 cards ATM?
  11. Thanks mother.jeni. Thanks for taking the time to reply. That $60 we paid is more than some card AFs lol. We'll avoid cards with AFs.
  12. I just learned about CCT (creditchecktotal.com). OMG I wish I had known that before we paid so much for those FICO scores. This forum is a valuable resource!
  13. Hello All, Just read all the replies to this thread: https://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=500689&page=10&do=findComment&comment=5215778 It's exactly what I was looking for. A quick run-down of secured cards. Since the list is about a year old, I thought I would ask a few of questions. Is there a website or service that keeps track of all these cards that can be filtered based on features like APR, reports as unsecured, graduates, etc? In lieu of that, what is the card currently recommended by the community that has the lowest APR, AF, reports as secur
  14. Hello All, I don't know if this is the correct place to introduce but here it goes. I've lurked here on an off for some time, probably more than a couple years. Honestly, I find forums so cumbersome and time consuming that I've avoided becoming active because I find myself loosing hours trying to find what I'm looking for and getting nowhere. I've decided I'm willing to invest the time to finally overcome this and would like to introduce myself. I'm looking to get to know people in this community and truly master all things credit. I've been interested in credit repair for a long long
