  1. Hi! I have a Cap1 account with 4 Lates that are keeping my score at 710, when everything else is clean, low utilization and old, diverse report. The attached screenshot below has all the details... Late payments: Jun 2019 60 day, May 2019 30 day, Feb 2019 30 day, Nov 2017 30 day Any ideas for dealing with this? All posts I've seen here mentioned that the EO etc are not very useful these days. I don't care to lose the whole tradeline, I have plenty other accounts that are older. All I got for my trouble last time I tried to remove via goodwill is this message on the file: "Account previously in dispute – now resolved – reported by subscriber" Thanks for your input!
  2. Thanks! Will do. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. Bringing this thread back from the dead - How did this go for you, Jay? I am now in a similar situation: A new 30-day late on a otherwise clean report, over a $40 balance of all things. Any other tips to remove it? I am with them since 2014. When I called in I was told to to write a goodwill letter to: fcra credit bureau disputes PO box 8803 wilmington delaware 19899 Is there a specific department that can help do this on the phone? Do goodwill letters work with Barclays? I don;t want to give them more reason to validate it if there isn't a point to sending a letter. Thanks!
  4. FWIW, I was able to get to 49.5k with extremely minimal spending. Likely the last +25k had maybe $40 in spend pushed through the card. Granted, this was before the love stopped. So close, yet so far... And the more your limit, the harder it is to bump into it. For posterity: see Here. Can't predict them at all. I know that there are multiple contradictory DPs to my experience. Yet, After getting shot down by them for the past few months, I decided to try and hit my CL again and see what happens. I got very close to the limit ($14k), and paid it in full. Hit the LUV button the next day, and was denied. 1 day later I get an email saying the my limit was increased to $18k. I guess this is what I will continue doing, so long as it works for me.
  5. +1 same boatI just need this well to fill back up enough to eek out another $500. Have you bumped into that credit limit yet before paying it off? In my experience, I only got substantial increases after using my entire credit line, paying it off and hitting the button. Not with Discover. IME, "Not enough experience..." is typically a time factor. Maybe it's both? I've had long stretches with no increases, and multiple increases close together after hitting the limit. 6. Thank you! It's nice to see some actual Data Points that contradict my theory, as opposed to opinions. Given your posts and the ones following it, it would seem that my experience cannot be extrapolated as a general rule, rather it is just one person's DP. So I guess we are back to square one. Agreed. Oh well. Other issues have all given me very large CLI's, with barely any spending. That is what led to to think this. And no, there are no derogatory marks in my report at all, the score is over 770, and the discover is far from my highest limit card.
  7. I'm my experience (past 2 years), the only time I was able to get an increase after the "too much experience with current credit limit" message, was to use the full credit line. I'd PIF it before the statement, so it didn't affect my Credit. Other than that, I've only gotten the occasional measly $500. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk
  8. They pulled TU twice on me as well. Two days in a row so I'm presuming first for the initial membership join then the next day for the secured card? I sent them a message online this morning. I called a day after my declined message and the rep on the phone referred me to wait for the letter and follow the dispute there. Letter only listed a mailing address.... so I've sent a message online referencing the application number. Fingers crossed. Nah, I got in a while ago using the NLSD. I guess I'll ask them. 13. I'm having a bit of an issue getting approved: Applied, they pulled my TU credit twice, with different phone #s listed on the report... So I don't know if I'll be able to get the 2nd one removed. Any DPs on this? I called in to see what the hold up was and was told that they were unable to confirm my income via their systems. I'm self employed, and the business in still in it's first year, so there is no tax return yet. I offered to send a bank statement, but they said that it'll be up to the discretion of the Loan Officer if they want to accept it. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks! 14. What small charge can I make to a chase card that will post immediately? I just transferred credit, so I'd like to have the new high limit report ASAP, but the card currently has a $0 balance... Another idea, would pushing a payment from the bank causing it go below $0 work as well? Thanks!
