  1. Is there a rewards credit-card that debits from my existing bank-account?
  2. Is there a difference in the information extracted for hard versus soft inquiries?
  3. You may have missed my previous post (below). I too learned a lot from this adventure. Posted 15 September 2016 - 08:27 PM 1) My Attorney Generals Office has an open case under investigation. As of a few days ago... No response from CVS-Caremark. 2) The organization that defines the standards for my complaint is PCISS (https://www.pcisecur... ... _QRGv3.pdf). These folks were super helpful... I was informed that the charge-card company (Visa) is the organization that can help me. Visa has accepted my complaint and is under investigation.
  4. guess I assumed - WAS this charge for a prescription for you? or was it an illegal charge - wasn't your prescription and they charged your credit card. if it's your's you still need to pay it. If you ordered online, you had to make some sort of payment authorization before they could ship anything. 1) The charge was in-fact a prescription for me. 2) Illegal charge because my credit-card information had been removed from my profile. 3) I am not disputing the charge... Just that they used my credit-card information that had been removed from my profile. 4) True... I HAD my payment information entered... But I removed it before this transaction. 5) My situation is much the same included in the FTC settlement with CVS-Caremark in 2009.
  5. Absolutely correct. Good reminder re the nonlinearity of FICO scores. At a point in the past I was notified by Barclay that my TU FICO had dropped from 822 to 785. My scores barely move, so I'll admit, emotions took over. As it turns out, I carelessly paid off all balances before statements were issued. I was dinged for "not using credit." Sheesh. Understood. For me it's not about the actual score-change... But about the unknown to why it happened.
  6. I believe this brings this thread up to date!

  8. Seems this is not a new problem for these folks: CVS Caremark Settles FTC Charges:Failed to Protect Medical and Financial Privacy of Customers and Employees;CVS Pharmacy Also Pays $2.25 Million to Settle Allegations of HIPAA Violations https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/2009/02/cvs-caremark-settles-ftc-chargesfailed-protect-medical-financial
  9. Update #1: CVS-Caremark's admitting their error:
  10. Thanks for the welcome to the 800 clue... Who knew one existed! What first got my attention about this stuff was the significant drop in my score (see below). I was surprised and dumbfounded that the credit-bureau's would not provide the reason for the change. I never did determine the reason... Now I just harass all the credit-bureau folks... And as you can guess... I never get a specific explanation to my request... Just a "canned" or "scripted" response.
  11. My apologies... I just found this update. Pondering and will reply shortly. Thanks.
  12. Because of past billing errors with CVS-Caremark... I removed my billing information from my CVS-Caremark profile. A few weeks later I get a charge from them with no billing information for them to charge to. For years I have had many billing errors from these folks... Each time they reversed the charges, hard to push the issue when I receive a refund. This time... I can not think of a way they can deny there is a problem. What rights did CVS-Caremark violate? And if so... Who do I report the problem to? If I am not clear with the situation or the details... Just ask for more questions and I'll answer.
  13. Credit Karma wasn't too far-off... Credit Karma = TransUnion @ 807 Credit Karma = Equifax @ 809 Discover(FICO) @ 818 Free FICO Scores: Experian @ 816 Equifax @ 808 TransUnion @ 785
  14. Free FICO credit-reports do not show "Years of Credit". Work continues...
