  1. I am also a NFCU member and I fully support this effort. Perhaps you can post this link to their FaceBook page, if doing so does not violate any of CB's terms.
  2. Awesome, congrats!!!
  3. Update: 1/2016: EQ- 577 TU- 580 EX- 564 2/2016: EQ- 614 TU-620 EX-606 2016 is still looking good. I think the biggest challenge will be gardening. I have frozen all reports and will be staying away from the Master Approvals Thread. Not being able to thaw my reports via any automated system will surely help and I'll keep telling myself that calling in is too much of a hassle. Wish me luck! And THANK YOU CB!!! ETA: I have NEVER seen my scores in the 600s. I'm sure they were at some point but it was probably the time someone stole my identity and had a mortgage and several high limit cards in my name
  4. I have seen others here advised to not open any new TLs at least six months before applying for a mortgage.
  5. I received the same e-mail, PayPal says that any e-mail addressing you buy full name is legit. I'm still unsure though. I'll try to post a screenshot. ETA: I have not a clue how to post an image using my iPad, is it even possible?
  6. They only pulled once, which was EX. My TU is higher, not nearly as many inquiries as the other two. Almost no one seems to ever pull my TU, except for Capital One.
  7. Lol, their loss 'cause I'm really freaking awesome. I'm sure you are, just not to Barclays Lol, I'm cool with that.
  8. I promise you everyone made it very clear to me a few days ago. It was just on a whim like my NAVY experience. I'm really not taking it to heart like that. And it actually wasn't a typo because I did not get this particular person's score from CPD. Either way, I'm laying low and focusing on the cards I have now. Thank you for the feedback.
  9. Lol, their loss 'cause I'm really freaking awesome.
  10. They didn't care about the new accounts at all. The nicer rep said he understands that the inquiries are from trying to establish credit but it's still a red flag because a lot of times when people have a lot of inquiries, it's because they need money. That's not my case but I get where he's coming from. That's where I would have said " well at least I know now which banks look at customers as individuals rather than as group and I'm really sorry Barclays is one of the latter as I've heard such great thingsabout your bank. Thanks anyway and I'll be sure to let my friend who is referring everyone to Barclays know about this. Thank you." Yeah, but it's all good. I was just trying my luck, I'm off to a great start IMO.
  11. I'm only asking as to educate myself but their response to your DV was validation correct? So I guess the stub being at that bottom means that "technically" they did validate first? Is that why bottom vs top matters? ETA: NM, Jeffe answered my question. New question: In a case like the OP's, would you then consider whether or not the account actually belongs to you, and if it does, try to arrange a PFD? Or try to pay ATT directly then send proof of payment to the collection agency? Or is it too late for the second option since a DV was sent?
