  1. I'm not wealthy by any means but $20k is a pretty nice 2 month vacation.
  2. Happy birthday you other 3! Hope yours was better than mine, I spent it at home alone having just caught bronchitis.
  3. What are the terms of offer? same as on the website: Earn 50,000 bonus points worth $750 on travel with the U.S. Bank Altitude™ Reserve Visa Infinite® Card. Just spend $4,500 in the first 90 days.Footnote1. Plus get up to $325 annually in automatic statement credits for eligible net travel purchases.Footnote2
  4. US Bank Altitude Reserve 'pre-qualified' nonsense.
  5. so we're basically shoe-horned into Amazon cobranded cards for now it sounds like. Oi vey I don't want to apply for any personal cards because I'm 6 months away from dropping to 4/24 for Chase, and would really like to pick up CSR and Ink Preferred this year before resuming normal app fests.
  6. just like anything else - give it good use each month, pay the balance in full every statement. Rinse and repeat.
  7. Figured this is a good time to start a revolving thread since the US Bank Cash+ will no longer offer the 'bookstores' category and I imagine many like myself made great use of that. The following are the cards I'm aware of which still provide this 5% on Amazon purchases: Chase Amazon Prime Visa (signature) Synchrony Amazon Prime store card -------- Are there any others that we know of? I buy most things from them due to convenience and price, but don't want to open either of those cards at the moment so it will be a nice refresher.
  8. I put a small amount of cash into it to trade for other currency but the value dropped almost immediately. Going to give it a few days to see if it recovers before I trade. This is just a curiosity and I would strongly advise against putting any real money into this that you are not totally fine throwing away.
  9. more Barclay's balance transfer checks. They're getting stingy, only 10 months of 0% interest on these! not that I'd use them anyway...
  10. I used them before finding CB. Worked fine, I had only a few already-paid and several years old baddies. Paid them for 2 months, everything went away quickly and never returned. Waste of money now that I learned how to send the letters myself from CB, but hindsight is always 20/20....
  11. That must be it, I've been with them for almost 2 years now, generally PIF, low overall util, kept the Plat and PRG beyond the first year, FICO 8's are all 770+ now etc
  12. I use it for most things, and paying annually at the student price is definitely worth it. Probably wouldn't want to do monthly anyway as it is too much of a hassle.
  13. Been holding off to have time to make sure I have my plan as optimal as possible, finally decided to bite with this 75k Skymiles offer they keep sending me. I had been feeling somewhat apprehensive since historically they often denied even a 4th revolver, and I already have 4 (1 personal 3 business), but decided there's no real risk in shooting for it. Logged into the Delta offer page, submitted everything and about 30 seconds later was greeted with an approval screen, as well as inquiry about wanting my card number now or to just have the card mailed to me. I chose the slower option as I am in no rush to start the bonus spend. I have not yet received the 'approval' email to add the card to my account however, so I have no idea what the limit is, and am expecting a fairly small one since they denied my most recent CLI request citing that I had sufficient credit with them relative to my (quite modest) income. Hurray for 5 Amex revolvers? Anyone have a 6th?
  14. They've given me tiny CLIs twice in the last 6 months, I use it once per quarter to keep active. I think the QS is up to 10.5k from an initial 3k.
