  1. I have been using Chime as my main bank since 2014(/15?) and received emails from them about issues that were effecting some users recently. One was even from the CEO (which I'm sure is actually sent by his assistant or whomever). Anyhow, I've had multiple deposits go through during the time that others were having issues with and I used my card a few times this week, no issues on my end. I do have back-up accounts incase the ... hits the fan and I need something else but my monthly direct deposit goes to this account soley because it's been my most reliable, cost efficient, easy to use account. Customer service has always been helpful whenever I had any questions or needed help. Just wanted to add my personal experience with using them and dealing with them.
  2. the few times ove brought on ebay the seller has left ne feedback. maybe because it was one of those indivual sellers and.not power seller? My husband used my ebay acct to purchase a few things and I have 3 feedbacks from the sellers, none of them are "power sellers" but have a ribbon on their auctions by their names saying "Top Rated Seller" and both have ebay stores. I think it's crap that some sellers can't leave feedback. Kinda defeats the purpose... Cause then other sellers can't see if the buyer is a repeat non-payer or something. And to the original poster: http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/questions/pending.html and http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/payment_hold.html is all I could find on ebay's site. But I had googled it myself about 2 months ago when someone else told me about the hold. I agree.. it use to be that sellers always left feedback once they got the notification that you paid. (course it was always deposited into their accounts right away or within the 1-3 day window by PayPal)the 21-180 days thing I thought it was for new sellers. I remember there was a big stink about it a year or so ago when they started it up or has it been two already? I dunno how long it's been this way for cause I was offline for a while. But I googled it before and read a lot of posts from experienced sellers who were being effected too. It sucks really. Some people need the money quick and think it'll be the best option and to have to wait that long is nuts.
  3. Googled the weather there for that day, "mostly sunny" and 52 degrees. Really not terrible weather for walking. I doubt any parent would have their kid walk in hazardous weather. Dunno what the area there is like though. Kids get snatched from their own yards while playing and from grocery stores too. Not bashing the points you made and the particular cases you pointed out, cause I agree, It can happen anywhere and anytime to anyone... but we can't glue our kids to our bodies and be with them every millisecond of the day. It's awful that it happens but it happens.... Kids go missing walking 30 feet to a neighbors house or less than that to get into a car... Or even from inside their own homes. There is no guarantee against the lunatics who abduct children. They will do it anytime, any place and you never know when it will happen. They picked this kid up within a few blocks of his home, not miles and miles away but a few BLOCKS. That is absurd. What if he wanted to walk a few blocks to the store to get food... The cops would pick him up for that too???
  4. Doesn't seem that way around here, it seems like people get it for every reason under the sun. I live in Ohio, and it's near impossible to get. A friend of mine is autistic and his mental age is about 12 at best was denied once for SSDI and Medicade. Well, SSDI said that he wasn't disabled enough for SSDI. Medicade denied him because he has a trust fund and a couple other things. I was denied twice for SSDI because they told me that I wasn't diabled enough. What gets me is someone else I know gets it because she gets mild panic attacks if she works. I'm in NY and My children's "donor" gets it cause he drinks to the point of blacking out and when he has no money has seizures from not drinking (withdrawls). He went to a neurologist and DID NOT TELL THEM HE DRINKS so they found that he has "migraines, seizure disorder, blackout spells, etc" based on just his word.... And he got disability. He passed seizure tests (even week long hospitalized ones) with NO episodes but they still say he has it and won't rule it out... Must be nice to be a lying scamming loser... Meanwhile, I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and can't even open a bottle of water most of the time... And I fought for 3 years and was denied 3 times... It's sickening. Almost makes ya wanna take up drinking cause alcoholics and addicts get everything they apply for so it seems.... So I have no income other than what my husband makes and we have 5 people to take care of on about $1400 a month... I get about $200 combined each month for my kids from the SSDI that their donor gets... But that literally JUST started so for the past 2 years I have been scraping by, borrowing money, my dad has been buying diapers and stuff when we didn't have the money... It's just sad. Really sad that the people who REALLY need the help get shafted.... I am reapplying this year probably in April (I'm pregnant right now, having the baby in 17 days. Last child for me, first and last for my husband... Really can't go deal with applying right now). And it sucks but I'm gonna get a lawyer this time around. By the time I knew I was even getting a court date and whatnot the last time, I was pregnant with the twins and was high-risk and wasn't supposed to be going anywhere or doing anything. So I didn't get a chance to do it then.
  5. Don't know if you found out any info you were looking for... But.... I went through this with my children's donor..... He was supposed to add them onto his SSI/SSDI case and never did (even the judge for the custody case told him he HAD TO... turns out Social security says the custodial parent is the ONLY one who can add them on whether they are the one applying for SSI/SSI or not). So long story short, he got benefits, never told anyone, *I* had to go to social security to add them onto his case (when they were just about 2 years old... and he had benefits for over a year as it was). SS told me the custodial parent has to add the children onto the other persons case. You will need HIS social security number but for him to add the kids he would need custody... either of you would also need their birth certificates, proof he is their parent (signed paternity acknowledgement or test results... the birth certificate is not enough to show that), and the childrens social security cards. Your own ID and SSN is needed too. Quite the pain in the flowers really... And the court says he isnt required to pay ANY child support yet NYS keeps sending me info for their child support debit card (which would be useless as I already have one from them from when I first app'd for child support and the judge keeps issuing $0 child support orders...)
  6. I signed up when my kids were born. They are just over the age of 2 now and I have a whopping $1.40-ish on Upromise. lol. I only shop at one grocery store which is listed as participating but they have never credited anything from what I purchased. My mother shops at a different store and buys my grandmothers groceries. If it wasn't for my grandmothers weekly orange juice purchase I would have nothing there at all lol. At this rate I could cash it out by the time they are probably 13, if my grandmother lives that long.... (which isn't likely but is funny to think about)

  8. I did not read the other comments but you might be being effected by the new ebay rules... Some sellers are having the funds from their sales held from 21-180 DAYS to try to prevent charge backs, refunds, fraud and other issues. I think it's BS but it's what they are doing to a lot of sellers, old and new to the site. Not everyone is being effected though.
  9. There is nothing wrong with what this woman did. If my kids did that I sure as heck wouldn't be late for work or shoving all the kids in the car to drive the one to school cause they messed up. If this happened to me when I was a kid, my mother would have made me walk in a heartbeat. Society is turning our kids into soft, weak, babied humans who won't function well later in life. It's sad.
  10. I dunno....I wouldn't let my DD wear crap like that. I probably wouldn't let my DD wear it.....but I wouldn't go looking for some subliminal message either. I agree with that. nor would I demand that it be taken off the shelves. Lots of kids clothes/toys I disagree with, I simply won't buy them. I think that's the key. What I don't understand is why some people think they get to dictate what other people want to purchase. Maybe I find those funny and can fit into a size that a 14 year old would wear (hahahahahahahahaha). So why shouldn't *I* be able to buy them? And why the immediate assumption that they mean that you can get stuf from Santa by giving "it" up? saddest part is i saw those, and thought they were funny. they actually are in the WOMENS section at both of ourt walmarts and start at a size 5 in womens... :/ not "juniors" or "girls"
  11. at most of my jobs ive worked alone... so i go in sick. one job i had we couldnt even work if we had a normal cold... cuz it would have compromised the entire job... it would have ruined the animals wwe were working with... so yeah... used a lot of sick time and thank god the company decided this and not just some airhead manager. i got paid for every sick day i missed lol including ones they told me not to come in for.
  12. ive always just listed myself. and said i lived alone. prove otherwise....
  13. But just imagine the thrill and excitement of the relationship... there'd never abe a dull or boring moment. Always on edge! am i gonna die tonight? is he a killer? will he kill me? how will he kill me? can i even defend myself? Arsenic in my spaghetti sauce? Antifreeze in my apple juice? lol... but people still go for it everyday..... :/
  14. Hes already ran once.... and gone to trial... which would lead someone to believe he'd kill himself this time... lol. Who knows. He'll prob get off with barely any or no jail time...
  15. I took mine to get a rabies shot last month at a free rabies clinic thing... I thought he had to pee cuz me looked like he was gonna... So i stand there talking to the guy running it while waiting.... then we both look at the dog to see whats taking so long... he took a dump right on the rose bushes at the town hall there :/ the guy laughed and was like "of all places... doesnt he feel the prickers?" I was a mixture of
