  1. I just signed up for a WF checking account today for the bonus and used my CSR to fund it. It's also pending as "mortgage, rent and real estate". We'll see how it finalizes. They only allow $50 funding by CC at opening so not nearly as lucrative, but still interesting. This charge posted this morning and tracked at 1x not 3x.

Makes me wonder if Plastiq payments to a financial institution that offers mortgages gets coded as "mortgage, rent and real estate" regardless of which type of account is getting paid...
  3. I don't have any other score available from them. But like I said, I only have a mortgage account with them right now, so it might be wise to have someone with a standalone CC account to check what they have available.
  4. I receive a quarterly Experian Fico 9 from Wells Fargo. All I have with them is a mortgage right now so I don't know if it's provided to other account types. Could you post a screen shot? WF is known to provide a free FICO 2 bankcard FICO. This is the first I have heard of a FICO 9 from them. It's a recent change. And moderately interesting side note: I tried to screen-shot the mobile app and it's restricted in their app for security.

  6. Posted this right before bed and realize now I should clarify: my mortgage at WF codes as travel on my CSR.
  7. Can confirm that my WF also codes as travel. And there are DPs on reddit of people paying at least some student loan varieties with Plastiq.
  8. Never say never. You must live in a very small trailer park if you can conveniently run home from the office to grab your debit card if you suddenly need cash. Either that or have a pretty big wallet to stuff everything in. When you get out into the real world and travel overseas you'll find that emergencies can occur and you need quick cash to see things through. Over the decades I've only needed to get cash twice: 1. After nearly two hours at DMV finding out that they don't accept credit cards; and 2. Overseas finding out that immigration fees needed to be paid in local currency and ther

  10. TL;DR Amex Blue Business Plus 2k Details EX 777 at time of app and was approved for the lowest APR of 11.99%, so I'm pretty sure they like my current profile. I burned them in 2000 for a small amount during a really bad spell of unemployment right after college so I'm 100% certain the low limit is their way of testing me out. That's ok, though; it's Amex, it'll grow.
  11. This would be the Amex biz card that made me dip my toe in. Low limit, but happy to not be BL after burning them around 2000.
  12. Soooo, I may or may not be dipping my toes into Amex biz cards right now as a way to get some points stashed while I bide my time to get back under 5/24. Does the 2fer revolver/charge work on biz just like it does personal (my understanding is just apply for both same day)? What about the 3x CLI rules, pull the trigger for those at 61 days on biz as well?
  13. Having just gone through the mortgage process, I think there is very little fraud happening right now in housing. The level of documentation required for approval is extremely high. Way different since my last mortgage in 2005. I don't think the next crisis will be from bad mortgages. I am not sure what it will be, maybe bad auto loans where there is no job verification. The stock market also is trading at extreme P/E levels not seen since 2001 and 1929. Exactly who originated your mortgage? A credit union? We refinanced both of our homes less than a year ago and it was rea
