  1. Well thanks WhyChat, Here is where I am at now: I filed the CFPB complaint against both the debtor and Experian. Experian gave me this canned response: Experian Credit Bureau said: Explanation of closure Thank you for submitting your complaint on November 1, 2016, through the CFPB Complaint Portal. We appreciate consumers who take the time to let us know about their experiences with our company. We have reviewed and considered the information, including the four attachments, you have supplied through the CFPB portal and directly to Experian. In your complaint, you indicate there are accounts appearing on your credit report inaccurately reporting. You are requesting the removal of the accounts from your credit report. At your request to begin a reinvestigation, we contacted the data furnishers to verify the accuracy of the information with which you disagree. The data furnishers have verified the accuracy of the disputed accounts. On November 19, 2016, the results summary was sent to of you for review. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), a national consumer credit reporting agency's role in the dispute process is to review the accuracy and completeness of any disputed item which may include contacting the source of the disputed information and informing them of all relevant information regarding the consumer's dispute. If the issue is not resolved, then the consumer credit reporting agency must offer to include a consumer statement on the personal credit report. The FCRA does not require that the consumer credit reporting company obtain documentation such as the actual signed sales slips, signature cards, contracts, etc.; nor does it require that consumer credit reporting agencies act as mediators or negotiators in account disputes. If you disagree with the results of the reinvestigations, it is your legal right, under the FCRA, to add a 100-word statement specifying the nature of your dispute. The consumer statement will appear on your credit report and be viewable upon inquiry. If you would like our assistance in providing a concise statement, please contact us directly at the telephone number or address provided on your personal credit report and we would be happy to assist you. You may refer to the credit report that you received from Experian for the furnisher or public records office name, address, and phone number (if available). In addition, for more information regarding your credit and frequently asked questions, you may visit: http://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian. Please note that there is nothing a credit repair company can do for you, including removing inaccurate credit information that you can't do for yourself for free. We believe it is important to supply you with information about specific credit repair laws. The Credit Repair Organization Act, a federal law, prohibits credit repair companies from taking consumer's money until they have fully completed the services they promised. It also requires such firms to provide consumers with a written contract stating all the services to be provided and the terms and conditions of payment. Under this law, consumers also have three days to withdraw from the contract. Please contact your local Attorney General's office for further information regarding your specific state laws. For additional assistance, you may call the toll free telephone number provided on your personal credit report, obtained directly from Experian, or write to Experian at P.O. Box 9701, Allen, TX 75013. Thank you for submitting your complaint through the CFPB Complaint Portal. It is our policy to respond to consumer complaints swiftly and to take each complaint seriously. We appreciate you letting us know about your experiences with Experian. -------- So I called the CFPB this morning. They told me that basically I would have to hire an attorney. I then called Experian backdoor, Talked to a rep who escalated it up to another rep. She basically told me that she has no response as to why the 9 adverse action were removed in January 2015. She said that it was up to the creditor as to what remained, and had no access to that information. That the Calif business bureau claimed the last three accounts remaining, and ignored the other 6. These accounts are the exact same Debtor and amount with the last digit of the account different from what was on there 2 years ago. She told me that the first time in 2014 I had a formal dispute. These previous ones had a fraud code? I keep all records and copies of reports, I don't remember saying fraud, but inferring it. Also according to this woman, I can no longer dispute without a letter from the debtor saying that they no longer own the debt or I could file a police report for fraud/identity theft. Another interest thing I picked up on. Was that these original accounts were under a SS variation a slight last name variation and an address that is not listed on my credit report last time they were deleted. She told me that these new accounts were under my true SS number now. I think they must have changed them. It is so strange, they have only called me once a few years ago. I got no calls or snail mail from them at all. (they are 5 miles from my house)They are making no attempt to collect the debt. So at this point the three listed accounts remaining under a different last name variation (since deleted) and address which never existed. What in the world should I do now? Blue paper/ink dispute? Wait 9 months and dispute as obsolete? I feel like the debtor is fraudulently changing the debt so it doesn't get tossed again, using information I provided them in the verification process. Either that or I am doing something really wrong this time around. Oh gosh, thanks again! Happy Holidays.
  2. Thank you whychat, I do not believe in god. But you are changing my mind all of the time with your philanthropic endeavors here over the many years... I wish I could make a positive impact on peoples lives like you do. It is not just once every ten years like a regular guy like me, but for you it is daily. That is incredible. I will report back at some point. Thanks!
  3. Whychat, I opted out two years ago as you said that was the first thing you do in a credit rebuilding. I also opted again two months ago, I have the printed receipt form both times and all previous correspondence/reports with Experian.. 9 days ago I sent them a simple dispute in the mail with my DL and SS telling them to remove all incorrect variations of name and social security, but nothing regarding fraud. I should be hearing back from them soon about the simple dispute, my guess is that they would have to delete the fake name and SS. I will check back again after I receive that dispute back. Or should I just dispute again (this would be the third dispute over this matter in the last 60 days) Also never heard back from CFPB, they emailed saying 60 days until they could get me answer. Not sure if that is still in play. It has not been 60 days yet. Does it matter if I just keep disputing this over and over again? Or will it eventually fall on deaf ears?
  4. Hello Whychat, I did exactly what you told me to do. I filed a CFPB complain and re-disputed the three remaining adverse accounts. I sent in the following: A dispute explaining that all items were previously deleted then being re disputed by the same company (they change the account numbers, amounts are the same, company is the same) Copies of the previous deletion from January 2015 copies of the reinsertion copies of the deletion of only 6 of the 9 accounts. copy of CFPB complaint I got the re-dispute back today( they sent me a credit report to buy time and saying it would not ready until the 12th of December 10 days ago) and the three negatives remain. The amounts for the original 9 were. 38, 40, 43, 43, 152, 219, 298, 641, 26,008. Only the three highest amounts stayed on the credit report. All of the old addresses have been deleted. My current and only address on my report is not the Address ID number linked to the California Business Bureau. There is still a last name variation that is not mine that reappeared on my report. They used to show the Social Sec variations which these negatives were under too but they don't put those on the reports anymore.(The were different) These accounts are due to come of in January 2018. Thanks to your help, I have 6 credit cards with 25K limits a 1.4 percent car loan and a great apartment. In just two years! I have not gotten any credit limit reductions from this. My experian credit tracker score went from 755 to 678. Should I just wait this out? I really don't plan on applying for credit in the next year. The payment history still shows October 2011 with a red C. So its not updated and shredding my credit even more. I really cannot figure out how this is happening. I really believe that the creditor must have falsified something to get this to stick on my report. Please advise Whychat. Thank you so much!
  5. Hello, I successfully used Whychats method to have 8 Medical accounts removed from each bureau on October 2014 ( a total of 24) Everything was fine until a month ago when they all showed back up on Experian. None of the address IDs matched my current and only address. And the misspelled name id was back on there. I next day aired the reinsertion letter with copies of all of my deletion letters and thought this should be no problem. Everything was clearly written and end explained. The same accounts and amounts were back up with different account numbers. So I get back my Experian letter. I use the credit tracker as well. It shows that they deleted only half of the accounts. All of the accounts were under "California Business Bureau" It was obviously the same thing. Why would they only delete half of the accounts? this makes no sense. Anyways, thanks for any input.
  6. It sounds like you would be a good candidate for a brain transplant
  7. Be relentless, call them back several times a day until someone messes up. Read the forums as much as possible. I did a full credit repair of 23 negatives and EX was the worst. Sometimes you have to word things properly (and legally) there are loopholes everywhere. Sometimes it is not who is right, it is the person who is willing to take it the furthest.
  8. Thank you will, I will try them out!

  10. October 11 2014, I pulled my first credit report at 36 years of age. I had 9 collections on experian and 6 on transunion. I found this board in November. I followed Why Chats guides and everything went perfectly. It took a bit of time and reading. I just cannot get over how well this went for me. If you must you can look in my post history for a more comprehensive view. This thing really works, there will be some emotional roller coasters. Nobody wants my advise but I will give it. Read the: Psydoc credit for beginners pdf Read the Fcra Read the FDCPA Read the FCBA Sign up for ACA, Please! I know from experience that people will go on here and be excited and post "quick question before" or anything similar. I did this myself. My advise is study this like homework. You will be able to help friends out. You will make your life a better place. All of my negatives were gone almost immediately after following the process. If you don't quite understand read and re read it. I had to also. Why Chat is curt. He has been here for over a decade making peoples life better. The info is there. I logged into my USAA daily credit monitoring and noticed Wednesday night 28 1 2015. That I had NINE negative remarks from Experian removed and vanquished. I am 36 years old and have gotten used to paying for things in cash my whole life. I immediately went to myfico and got a hard 711 from experian and applied for Chase Sapphire Preferred And AMEX Blue cash. Instant Approval! These are cards I could have never imagined in my wildest dreams to own. I am a prime borrower now and it feels pretty *Admin removes vulgarity*ing good. My hope is that you guys stay patient and let the process play out. Patience is a virtue, and good people are out there to help you along the way. I feel bad that I cannot give back what I have gotten here. I know Why Chat is a big animal rights activist. So I will be donating or maybe just adopt the pound puppy at my local shelter that has been there the longest. Lets all give back, and help each other. Thanks Mr why chat!
  11. Not insured at the time. I was never offered assistance. I had a few too many spirits (i am used to beer) at a bachelor party. I woke up in a hospital at 2am and walked out. I had to go downstairs and get my belongings (wallet, cell phone) at a counter afterwards. Nobody said anything to me. I scribbled a form saying that I got my belongings back and took a cab home. I received a bill for around 1300 dollars a few weeks later and ignored it. (It seems I get older a lot faster than I get smarter) I have also moved 4 times since. When I checked my Credit Report in October for the first time in my life. I had 9 collections from UCSD medical on Experian totaling 30K 8 of them were only about 1500 the other the remaining 28.5K. Credit Forget it! This is the only negative info on my report. With assistance, I would pay it right now. Apparently the biggest mistake I made besides being a terrible drinker was not getting on with an assistance program immediately after. The bill just seems like its from another planet. Transunion I got deleted right away with the pre hippa. CA has never sent me anything in the mail or tried to contact me. I sent and called for DV and never received a thing. Thanks for all the help Mr Why Chat. After helping people here for a decade you must have 5 lifetimes worth of karma points in the bank.
  12. Quick question I live in California, here it is 4 years SOL written also 2 years oral. Does an ER trip count as an oral or written contract? Also does the 4 years start the day you leave the medical provider? I have less than 90 days until my SOL runs out @4 years from day of service. The CA is the primary CA for that hospital. The CA also happens to be about 4 miles from my house. I have been doing the why chat method. I am not sure if I should wait( I am on my very long winded version of the initial dispute with EX, TU deleted) the extra 75 days to do the medical DV. Because they already verified once, and I am pretty sure they will not be able to serve me. 30K medical bill. Thanks
  13. Ok thanks. I received mail correspondence from them on 7 January. It shows all of the med collections saying dispute "projected completion date Feb 3 ,2013" (this is when they sent me report saying that my addresses etc were deleted.) next correspondence was today marked 13 January. page one said to send in Ftc affidavit, the second page said: "The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (the government agency charged with enforcement of the FCRA) does not require that the consumer credit reporting company obtain documentation such as the actual signed sales slips, signature cards, contracts, etc ; nor does it require that the consumer credit reporting agencies act as mediators or negotiators in account disputes" So, you are saying. I just ignore all of this. act like none of it happened and do an initial colored paper, ink dispute by certified mail?
  14. Hello, just to summerize: I recently started rebuilding credit in October. I got all three of my reports. Eq clean Ex 9 medical collections Tu 6 medical collections Both from are from one incident in 2011 April in San Diego totaling a hair under 30,000 Anyways, I disputed everything before I found this forum. Experian found them all valid. Transunion deleted them all in early November Fast forward to the end of December, found the why chat method. I opted out and had all of my old addresses, names and social security numbers variations removed. While on the phone removing addresses with Experian. Instead of saying. “concerned about fraud” apparently i brought up fraud. The ex Phone rep immediately started a fraud alert and dispute for all of the 9 medical accounts before I could go through with the proper why chat method. I could not get her to cancel so i could do this correctly. SO the ball was in motion. She requested that I send an the ftc affidavit. signed or notarized by law enforcement. I have no problem doing that. Its just that the statute of limitations has expired and the police will not take a report. I then sent in my blue paper and ink dispute with the ftc printout next day air to them. I just made a notation that I could not report this due to SOL. Today i received a letter from experian asking me again to send them the FTC id theft affidavit. Why Chat, how do I get myself out of this.? Just for clarification, the Address ID number from the collections does not match anything on my report. The original CA had the wrong social, a misspelled first and last name also. Which were removed as well. All of the previous hard pulls from CA are gone as well. I just called the back door and I just figured i should hang up and ask here first. Please help
  15. This happened to me to. Opt out takes 5 days. I noticed the CA report date was over 3 years after the service date. Must be a late opt out, and junk debt buyer. I would really just love to spit in these peoples faces. My Transunion was perfect. Should go away if you follow the why chat guides.
