  1. Thank you Joe! This looks like a great tutorial on what i should do. I will try this exactly and let you know the outcome. Thanks again! Hi Joe, I have done everything you said and will be waiting until the verification comes back to call the BBB. If the collection gets removed how or what can i do to remove the OC account. Will the OC account be removed also?

  3. I don;t have an arbitration agreement i believe this was a long time ago i just received calls and a letter so i paid. which now i know was a big mistake. I just wrote a letter that i'll post below and see if anyone think it's worth it. My Name Address Cavalry Portfolio (606YC13027) 500 SUMMIT LAKE DR SUITE 400 VALHALLA, NY 10595 Phone#: 8005010909 Date: 04/22/2016 Certified Mail No.: _____________inquiry account no# 1705xxxx Hsbc Bank Nevada To whom it my concern, This is a notice that your claim is being disputed and validation is requested. Under the Fair Debt collection Practices Act (FDCPA).I have the right to request this validation of the collection that is listed above. I am requesting proof that I am indeed the party that owed you a contractual obligation on said debt that is reported as paid on all three major credit bureaus. Be advised that I am not requesting a "verification" that you have my mailing address, I am requesting a "validation;" that is, competent evidence that the debt was actually mine. This is not a request for “verification” or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to 15 USC 1692g Sec 809 ( of the FDCPA. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence or completely delete the said collection account for all three major credit bureaus which are as follows Transunion, Equifax, and Experian. At this time I will also inform you that if your offices have or continue to report invalidated information to any of the three major credit bureaus list above, this action might constitute fraud under both federal and state laws. Due to this fact, if any negative mark is found or continues to report on any of my credit reports by your company or the company you represent, I will not hesitate in bringing legal action against you for the following: Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Defamation of Character. If your offices fail to respond to this validation request within 30 days from the date of your receipt, all references to this account must be deleted and completely removed from my credit file and a copy of such deletion request shall be sent to me immediately. Best regards,
  4. Great guys Thank you so much so i think my first course of action is a complaint with BBB for oral pay for delete, then check the statute 623 and if all else fails goodwill letters. I will keep you posted
  5. I paid them directly. This was before i first learned about creditboards.com and now i feel i'm stuck. I was hoping that if i keep sending them DV letters the will just get tired of it and delete it but i wanted to see if there is a special way of going about this.
  6. Its says on myfico.com Dec 16 2011. Can't i just DV it and maybe they wont respond and then i can get a deletion?
  7. Hi guys, I would like to know if sent a DV letter to Calvary on an account that was in collections but paid off. Do you think there is a good chance they would delete it off my cra's. I'm not sure if the amount means anything but it is $368.00 or close to that.
  8. Hi, i have ordered paper copies of my reports from the CRA'S. I have a question i had a CO fall off from Midland for a TL with Capital One. The last reported activity on the TL is Sep 2008. Should the OC TL fallen off already? Reading around i cant find an anwser to this question. Do Tl fall off or just the CO?
  9. Correction privacy guard reports Experian - 613 Equifax - 615 TransUnion - 662
  10. Very informative David. Thank you. I am a newbie but have been browsing a bit on this forum and have recently been able to get a new capital one card 1300.00 limit and a new barclay card with a 500.00 limit and a couple others. my highest Faco scores are 600 and above on credit karma they have dropped a bit since opening.
  11. Ok. Thanks everyone. I guess might just try a letter and see what happens. If my credit is clean and i ask a family member with exellent credit to add me onto one of their credit cards would it help my credit as far as length of time the card has been open and also the high credit limit? or could it hurt there credit. I woud not be using their card.
  12. Hi, I had a barclay credit card that says closed by credit grantor in 2001 when i consoldated my debit. I was recently approved a new credit card from them. I want to know if anyone had luck asking to reinstate the old card so it reflects a longer open credit line. Thanks
  13. Thanks everyone. I called each CRA and to ld them about the problem. They told me that it was not on my credit report on their end and would mail me a paper report. I had all three CRA's online monitoring services but in order to update i would have to pay extra. I thought that was pointless and decided to ask for my money back and to cancel my subcription and that when i need an updated report i might as well pay for the paper reports when needed.Once i recieve the paper reports i will see what has changed. Thank's everyone for your support.
  14. they folded on four of my accounts. I contested them and they came off the reports quickly. if you just contest them they prob will remove them. Should i contest them to the CRA's or the CFPB? start with the CRA Ok i will. Thanks thinknot
