  1. You need to opt out. Opt out? And never get Comenity soft-pull shopping trick accounts?!? hehe (jk) Ron would never "opt out"
  2. This made me smile :-) Is there a benefit to that?
  3. Ditto... but I only have 14... 1/3 easier... Thanks guys :-) I am just trying to reduce the tedium of card rotations... not that I don't appreciate what having and maintaining good credit is all about. Plus I want to streamline those purchases so I don't waste dollars on non-rewards cards etc. Don't kill yourself with worry to save $20 bucks in a year in lost rewards... this is supposed to fun as well as rewarding... I agree. It's not that much in rewards that you would likely be missing. I think the easiest is the Amazon gift card method mentioned above at $0.50 p
  4. I have some that I put Netflix, HULU, util on... But I'm also looking for strategies that give me real rewards faster by focusing on the heavy-lifter, daily-driver cards than having to distribute spending over a greater number of cards... just to accomplish occasional usage
  5. You do that online I assume? How do you redeem the GCs? Yes, online. They email a code to you that you enter into your account and it will credit your account with the amount. You do that online I assume? How do you redeem the GCs? You can buy the e-mail code ones and then you just redeem the code when you want to make a purchase. Edit: you can also schedule them for future purchase which may make your life a bit easier That's cool. Plus its not a lot of money that it takes away from earning more worthy rewards on other cards

  8. Seeking advice on new ways to easily use sock-drawered cards 3-4 times a year. Thanks to CB, I have 350k+ CLs distributed between 21 "major" credit cards (and 2 store-only cards - Lowe's, Amazon) The major players are (by total credit issued, not including NPSL or Signature/World Elite flexibility) - Synchrony AMEX NFCU Chase Capital One Barclays Bank of America CITI with Nordstrom's, Discover, Comenity, Wells Fargo, US Bank bringing up the rear. I've been following a schedule to pull cards and physically using them for gas, drive-thru's, etc. then PIF-ing them righ
  9. Applying by phone will result in a TU pull. Be sure to freeze EX if you care about HPs if you apply by other means.
  10. I opened one in April 2015 w 10k initial CL thinking it would be good for combining. No Joy. it is a card not currently combinable with standard Cap1 cards. It also requires a different log in at a different looking website. Even Cap1 EO cannot help with this card. CSRs call it a "partner" card although it states on the website that it is issued by Capital One, NA. Hope this helps you !
  11. Pop in out of the local stores looking for clearance fridges.. Many times they have ones people just didn't like it they didn't fit etc and you can get a good deal. Check out the Sears Outlet store in south CLT - they have the scratch & dent section. Got a great deal on our washer/dryer there a few years ago because there was a slight dent on the BACK of the dryer. As if I care about that. Just happy that someone else did I have a co-worker who's husband surprised her with a new set of LG front loader and dryer last year, albeit purchased from the scratch and dent secti
  12. To OP if you had more time VISA has a prepaid called Visa Buxx for teens which you can personalize with a photo since most teens don't have regular ID cards but I suspect your teen must have a passport. http://www.buxx.com/ 844-269-5071 Many banks also have an affiliate VISA Buxx program like US Bank, Nationwide, Navy Federal etc. Best wishes!
  13. Congrats !!! Its always a good feeling to climb back from whatever and put a flag on the hill... Nice 2-fer with AMEX
  14. Interesting... Is this so one can potentially earn rewards on CC using rent payments? Or meet spend requirements? 3% seems a steep price... Just curious :-)
  15. How long was the card open? What was the original CL? :-)
  16. Congrats on the CLIs Have you been checking if any soft or hard pulls are being done on your credit reports every time you hit the luv button?
  17. Yikes. My flight attendant twin sister can usually tell if its a fake or not... if the giver is a self-respecting individual with the means to give such a gift. No offense meant to anyone. But its like driving a "ponari" - a Ferrari body kit on a mid-engine Pontiac Fiero Comparing a complex piece of machinery to an accessory made for holding lipstick and car keys is a bit of a stretch. That being said, I'd love to buy a car for $12,000 that was indistinguishable in quality, workmanship and materials from a $200,000 car. LOL Oh Konrad you're missing my point. :-
  18. I feel like a DJ that takes requests... I would so be hitting up a seamstress for something like that, such a simple design yet so hard to find. Maybe Konrad can have one made for me in Hong Kong. I know BASE jumping/skydiving riggers in Auburn, CA or Perris, CA that could sew that for you in 5 minutes. The material would be the issue, we use 1000D Cordura in BASE rigs as opposed to 1050 Ballistic (if it's truly ballistic nylon). I could probably find you a fake in Lo Wu, Shenzhen. That's where I used to get all the good LV stuff. $400 mens wallets for $20, $2000 purses for $12
  19. Only thing is that rewards are given annually and club membership has to current to earn rewards or redeem them. This is not good. Tell me about. Its in the fine print. Its my only 25k MC that stays in my pd long-term. But its good for those who maintain membership and can wait for the annual disbursement of rewards.
  20. Your identity is verified so people actually want to hire you through the service, vs. a serial killer or animal necrophiliac one might meet randomly on the street. This part is particularly important if you have neck tattoos. The bank info is so they can pay you, which is the entire point. Aaaaachk! LOL

  22. I had an offer for personal loan, and also one for a checking account, Didn't use either one. It sounded kinda bogus to me.
