  1. I do not believe that. I was originally denied graduating my BofA CC to unsecured. I called the analyst, and brought up that I had a checking account with BofA since 2000, and never had an overdraft even in bad times. Analyst replied "I see that" and graduated the card and doubled my limit. While not the sole factor, I do believe it was A factor. They also had access to ADB, deposit vs withdrawls etc.
  2. I app'd my 2nd Barclay today, the US Air card. 40k OneWorld miles for an $89af is awesome. I can transfer them to Cathay Pacific and fly RT from Hong Kong to Moscow, or Hong Kong to Katmandu for that. Or HK to DaNang or Saigon 2x's.
  3. Today, just to satisfy my curiosity, I called EX. I was just going to ask if I had any current disputes (I don't and know it), and wondered how I would be dealt with. I called the 714 corp number. The operator forwarded me to a CSR. That CSR asked my report number, confirmed my name, and asked to place me on a brief hold. 1 hour and 20 minutes later some new lady answered. She said she apologized for my long wait, and that I had to be dealt with by special services but they were now closed. She would gladly take a msg and what was the best time to return my call tomorrow. When she asked me the purpose of my call, you could tell she was shocked that I just had a simple question. FYI I was busy on skype the entire time while on hold on speakerphone so I really didn't care
  4. Well noted, thank you. No whychat letters to the special guys. I'm wondering if they handle the disputes any differently. I'm guessing same computer system? Just more thorough? Or looking to protect Experian from court cases?
  5. I recently sent a complaint to the State AG over Experian providing Commenity an inaccurate address. I received a CC to a response. It was from XXXXX, Senior Regulator Affairs Associate, Consumer Affairs Special Services. He said blah blah blah, and that if I have any more specific disputes over my credit report that I can write or call him. 1. Does this mean I am now in Special Handling? 2. While some have said their Special contact is horrible, others have said they had great results with Special Handling. Any experiences you could share would be appreciated. I have two PR's (a tax lien and a judgment) that are my last sticky's on EX. They are both old, but would love to get them off anyways. The $Bill worked for others, wondering if I should give it a shot with my new Experian friend? I could also WhyChat my new friend? I could handle my handler. Really though I want to know if I should direct things through him or through regular channels.
  6. I recently applied NASA for a saving account, eventually wanting an unsecured cc. They asked me to send them notarized copies of my DL and SS card. Jumped through all the hoops, and sent them UPS overnight. Called several times asking about my application. They kept saying they never received my package.I finally got irritated and told them I had signature delivery confirmation from 5 days prior. 5 minutes later I got an email that I was denied for documents not meeting requirements. They lost my stuff, and were too chicken$hi+ to admit it. Glad it was just a savings account and not a car loan or mortgage.
  7. Thats it???. Hahaha...I got a 29 point increase from an inquiry last week! Funny thing is the unpaid judgement that was deleted didn't cause an alert or a score change. Guess PR changes don't trigger alerts since they're unimportant.
  8. California isn't cool with toting a Sig229 everywhere. Sometimes a dog is a better option...especially a Belgian Malinois trained to detect firearms, search buildings and attack on command. If it has a legitimate business use, depreciate and write off expenses.
  9. Nope, according to IRS a puppy has an 8 year life span (depending on breed and akc info), hence depreciating it over 8 years as a capital expense if it is trained and serves a purpose. Yes, I've depreciated a dog.
  10. Unless you bought a protection trained Malinois you should have adopted from a kill shelter. You can write off a trained protection dogs food and vet, and depreciate the dog purchase itself over 8 years if you have a business or job that you can swing that through
  11. Took an HP from DCU on EQ last night. It was my last hoorah. Signed up for USAA today. Let the B* begin. 1 down, 84 times to go
  12. You're not sold because you're informed and think. Most people aren't informed and don't think. Apple is also multinational so currency doesn't matter...Ie can be used for Bancor etc. These mediums will further the decline of the USD
  13. This should be news to no one. Apple has over 400 million cc#s through itunes and various channels. RF Micro Devices has nearly tripled from52 week low, (makes NFC devices and components). Up 33% since July. Still room to grow since market is so underdeveloped even when factoring in future earnings/blue sky
  14. (605) 331-7286 Direct desk number to Wendy in CITI EO She gave me bad news today. YMMV
  15. Yep, discover cards still have Diners Club International logos on the back.
  16. WTH is a "Risk Waiver Loss Report"... https://www.lexisnexis.com/risk/products/loss-damage-waiver-score.aspx Seems like its used for rental cars. Maybe regular car insurance also?
  17. BofA also reports to Innovis. Make sure to pull this CRA report also
  18. Online. I had to order the LexisNexis full file disclosure, then I think I ordered Accurint and CLUE separately. You'll need to google, im on my mobile, links are tough
  19. Mailed in 5 separate envelopes. 2 were 9x12, 3 were 9x6. The reports received are: Banko Consumer Disclosure- bk info, PR info (10 pages) CLUE Auto/Property/Current Carrier- car+homeowners insurance/coverages/claims (30 pages) Accurint Person Report- addresses going back 25 years with CURRENT owners and values of all properties + surrounding demographics including median age/household income/education level (14 pages) Duplicate Banko (10 pages) LexisNexis Life Electronic Inspection (54 pages) address records, PR's, Property records RiskView Disclosure- addresses, address characteristics, aircraft records, assessor records, criminal records, deed records, ONLINE MARKETING RECORDS (18 pages) Loss Damage Waiver Score Disclosure (34 pages) Collections Decisioning Report (38 pages) Risk Solutions Benefit Assesment (74 pages) Some random disclosures and notices Note every report had some statements, disclosures etc that I didn't delete from the count
  20. With the separate Accurint report and Banko (bancor?) report I have almost 300 pages. The Banko report is of great interest...it has all the public records information. Names attached to public records, addresses associated with public records, whether there is an SSN attached. Anyone wanting to dispute a PR should have this report in hand.
  21. Just received my full file disclosure. It's 245 pages. Another 20 on a separate CLUE report. I am in shock at this amount of data
  22. You know, when I read through past threads about PenFed wanting clean credit, I didn't take that as wanting clean credit prior to getting a savings/checking account. I viewed that as prior to applying for credit products. Now im pi&&ed at myself for applying for membership early.
  23. Bummer, now I feel like I jumped the gun. Just tonight my last PR tax lien was deleted (previously verified) from EQ.
  24. Is a 690EQ and new accounts as listed good enough to get something decent out of them? My current util is maybe 1-2%...I let my Victoria's post a balance for the first statement, only $130 or so. And my BofA shows 90 dollars, when it really has a -$10 balance. (not sure how all that happened) Like I said, was going to let PenFed savings just age, but if I already took a hard pull I basically have nothing to lose...other than if I wait 6 months I might get a better initial limit. Creditpulls shows no PenFed approvals under 700 with exception of an auto loan (for a year or so). Then again, it shows no denials, so I'm sure Creditpulls isn't the be all end all.
  25. I applied for PenFed last week and was accepted. My original intention was to sit on this for six months and then apply for a high limit CC after my new accounts have aged. I have 5 new CC's in the last month (discover/chase/barclay)...2 being victorias and lowes. My EQ today is 690. If I apply for a CC now, will it use the same hard pull I took for membership? Or should I still park it 6 months as I planned?
