Last month I graduated a BofA CC. I was supposed to get a Cash Rewards, but somehow ended up with a turd visa sig rewards. Via chat today I got a PC to a AAA Members Rewards. 2% no limit on gas, groceries and drugs (stores ) Better deal for most if you have a better gas card since there's no 1500/quarter limit. Also gives 3% on AAA purchases.(membership/insurance/travel). Bank Amerideals still apply (like 10% off pet food that always pops up) The PC is a soft pull. They confirmed it 3 times and I printed the chat for safe keeping. Peeps with a BofA turd cards might want to check out this option, it isn't marketed at all. This is my official contribution for the day even though I have sub500 posts.

Anyone have new info to add to this? Discover, Lowes, NASA, USB, FNB, WELLS Fargo? Different BofA products different guidelines?

Hey Ranger Fan...thanks!!! Awesome to visualize all this data in a logical format.

With an Amex Platinum, you get standard coverage free or can sign up for the premier coverage (sign up thru CSR in advance and will automatically be applied to all future rentals). The premier coverage is 18 bucks for the entire rental period (up to 35 days or something). Not only is it primary coverage to actual cash value, but it covers loss of use and other fees they try to hammer you for. IE, if the car takes 7 days to repair, rental companies will charge you 7 days max rental fee for time out of service, admin costs etc. Edited: it's 18 for California residents, and California residents get higher passenger insurance coverage as well. 25 for other States

I recently PC'd a secured BofA to a Cash Rewards. I had not seen the BofA AAA Members Rewards before I PC'd, they don't advertise it but its there. 2% unlimited on gas, groceries and drugstores. 3% on AAA services and AAA travel bookings. 1% on everything else. I have AAA car insurance, homeowners insurance, umbrella policy, and AAA roadside assistance. Ticked at myself for not finding that card sooner. Cost me 60 bucks when I just renewed everything get 1% instead of 3%

Because they asked me to mail them, through their secure message service which is how I would have had to upload them. I would have uploaded or faxed if it was am option. I had to call and get their physical address and department because I was originally given a po box#. I sent UPS because I get huge discounts and wanted to expedite the process. -

I apped NASA several weeks ago. They asked me to send in copies of my DL, SS card, and a utilities bill. I sent it UPS 2nd Day. When I called to ask about the status, they said they never received the documents. I told them I had a delivery confirmation notice. 5 minutes later I received an email that my documents weren't sufficient. From an email that stated it didn't accept replies. Guess it was easier to deny me than admit they lost them and ask me to resend. Glad everyone else has better luck! -
What a difference 45 days makes! Thanks CB community

Between creditpulls and what I could gather in threads, DCU always pulls EQ. Will also give you multiple products off the same pull. If you set up a direct deposit, they offered me 1.49%. Unfortunately I did not see an LOC or I would have gone after that also. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about a DCU unsecured LOC. -

Victoria's Secret. BofA was a good rebuilder. It took a hard to graduate it, but then I got to pick my new product and keep the open date/history. -
Oh I see. I didn't read the last two days worth of posts from the Master thread...sigh... Oh well, I have a MS of 2012 on a Biz Platinum in my name. Guess Ill app in January and at least it will show 3 years. Missed the bus...

When adding an AU to an Amex account for D* purposes, do they have to be a "current" Amex cardholder? My pops had an Amex from 1980 to mid 90's. Sold his business didn't think he needed a charge card anymore. Will he be able to recover that MS date? Will it matter if it was a company card (his company that he would have been the applicant and PG for)? I have someone else with a current account and a 2002 MS Date, but obviously 1980 (x2 or 3) be preferable.

Actually it is fingerprints. Apple spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the company that developed the technology. Apple does a bit better of a job that six flags. So this biometric data can be hacked/spoofed/intercepted like all other data sources? But yes, Apple is spending money everywhere. There is a cold war of sorts between Apple and Samsung right now for wearable devices. One market they are both pursuing feverishly is glucose monitoring. Apple pay is a nice convenience for fanboys. Non-invasive glucose monitoring can change peoples lives.

Call and tell them your job is going to require you to travel with reimbursed expenses every month, and that you'll PIF. -
On Aug 4th I had 0 unsecured credit, a 3K secured BofA that I opened in Dec 2012 and some ugly reports/scores. (580EX, 620EQ, 615TU...all garnered from denial letters) Today DCU just approved me for a 10K Platinum Rewards Visa. They told me my 739EQ was good enough for a 1.99% Auto loan for 50K, and would be 1.49% if I set up a direct deposit. Same HP used for the CC. Today Barclay gave me a 9K US Air Premium MC with a 724TU. This was through the backdoor preemptively calling while the 7-10 notification was pending. The analyst originally denied due to opening a Barclay Rewards MC 31 days prior. Didn't take no for an answer, kept pushing my 350,000 US Air frequent flier miles I already have through plane flights only and eventually she caved. The 9K limit was a shock, I expected 3K like my other Barclay. 19K today...doubled my unsecured limits in 8 hours. Now: DCU Platinum Rewards 10K Barclays US Air 9K BofA Cash Rewards 6K Chase Freedom 4.5K Barclay Rewards 3K Lowes 3K Discover (I know I know) 1.5K Vickies 500 bucks I also have a PenFed share account app going through identity/address verification for the last 7 days, so there might be a final addition to the list since they should be running off the same EQ score that they've already HP'd for membership. Here's the deal. I already knew how to clean up my reports, how to dispute, etc. I've have gathered some pointers on the Public Records angle of attack. But the backdoor numbers, dealing with recon/analysts and the CreditPulls database is ALL stuff I picked up from Creditboards. Thanks to all who post their knowledge or experiences. Not just now, but in the past (I read some posts from searches sometimes going back to 2007) With the exception of DCU, Lowes and Victoria's Secret, I was denied in every instance and had to go to the phones. And Lowes was an original $300 limit that I got to 3K calling the UW immediately. That was my lesson learned from CB - when applying for credit through CC companies, don't be shy, the phone is your friend.

Sweet. 9k. Use the card once, bank the 40k miles. Use the companion tickets. Then read strategies how to transfer Barclay limits and dump before the next AF.
