  1. I knew something was up! Cap1 canada also has been smoking the crack. Take me for example, my EQ and TU are hovering at 581. I have one CO and one CC with only $500 no lates for 9 Months. They gave me a $5 000 limit. I'm happy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I had a similar experience with Pfd and Eq. The CA was lovely to deal with compared to EQ. The CA sent Equifax communication through their channels which they also gave me a copy of nicely and nothing was done in over 30 days. I also called 4 times and the 4th time after faxing them the same letter to delete as the CA sent, it got deleted immediately on the other end. Half the time I think the people don't do anything and tell you they are accelerating the dispute just to get you off the phone. I'd just be persistent until someone listens. 3. Re reading my question I realize I didn't state that I paid in full for all the charges even if it didn't show up on the statement. I did! Why would it not report that I wonder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No that is not what I said sorry if it got convoluted. I did pay off the WHOLE $72. I do not want to pay interest. This is why the reporting confused me, it says I paid $10 which happened to be minimum, but I pif. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I believe I have not mastered what is hard for newbies and that is the knack of knowing when statements cut and what they report to the CRA's. I recently got a secured card with a $500 limit. I charged two gas trips on it which totaled $72 and the statement for that period was $36, due on November 24th. I paid in full 2 weeks before. On my credit report it states i paid $10 which was the minimum payment and my balance was $36. My score has not gone up at all in the last month, even though this is my first open account in a long time. Is there a reason for this?
  6. SO ANNOYED WITH TRANSUNION. I disputed a collection with NCO AUGUST 7th 2014 that i legitimately have no recollection of for $291. I asked TU to verify it. They told me no problem 30 days. I called back after 30 days. The guy said it would take up to 45 days and to be patient and that it was still being investigated. I have been patiently waiting. It has now been over 47 days. I called in and was told that there was NO RECORD OF MY DISPUTE and that I would have to start again and it would take up to 30 days. The man was pretty rude and would not accelerate anything and sat in silence and ignored me when i wondered if it had been deleted, because another agent confirmed the dispute back at the beginning of September. I just feel like I am not getting anywhere and it is really frustrating! Anyone know what I can do with TU besides harassing them everyday
  7. I'm worried that will happen warrior. So far nothing's been sold. I suppose I'll have to cross that horrible bridge if I get there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Woo for Canadian girls! I have just learned that the Amazon Visa has no FTF and Visa is widely accepted, with 1% amazon cash back and a 20$ Amazon giftcard with no annual fee. Is that offered by Chase in the US? I believe they pull TU.
  9. I would of thought so too, but i've read a lot of negative things about attempting a PFD with Cap1 which is one of my CO's. Apparently they never ever do it.
  10. I just asked this in another thread and someone told me 'hell no'? Plus it clearly states not even in fine print that your not guaranteed if you've been in bad standing with them. I'd hate the hard pull with a decline. Obviously they have been forgiving with Mendelssohn and others, so i'm wondering if it's worth a shot to add a tradeline. I've exhausted other secured options at the moment and was declined by a big bank for having CO's.
  11. Well that's disappointing! Wish we had the same AU privileges here. Sigh. Guess I have to do this with no help but Credit Boards
  12. Well, I got the former spelling of my first name successfully disputed off Equifax file (still in process with Transunion). All old addresses gone. What kind of success would I have blanket disuputing both remaining baddies of 2 charge off's as 'not mine'. Should I do one at a time, should I use a better strategy? Getting a little bit eager, but do not want to dispute as not mine, if it ruins my chances of disputing another way, if you know what I mean.
  13. Also in a very similar situation. Sorry I can't help but I'm bumping it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Is this true for any cc black list? I have a CO with capital one. If I applied for a secured card let's say, would they spare me the hard pull if the answer will be a resounding hell no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I got PFDs but over the phone only. Never by paper. Your chances are much higher if you get them in writing. Good job. I'll keep checking your thread Fleece, I'm sorry i wasn't more clear. I mean't calls to EQ! I did have the PFD in writing and even a secondary letter from them stating it was made 'in error' which i used multiple times to fax myself when they were 'not recieving anything'. I thankfully started reading CB before i negotiated this. Also thank you very much!
  16. I finally got a PFD collection removed from EQ today after a month of faxes, 5 phone calls and numerous different conflcting information by EQ. Score went up 40 pts! I can't be the only one that can't wipe the smile off my face when i get something removed!
  17. Who let you out of the Canadian forum? I don't see much else to do but be patient. Which is the hardest part . Hey! It's not fair! You with your way better credit card bonus offers and your more populated threads! I can be an 'murican I swears! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I never get any replies lol [emoji24] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That is good news for you that they are removing the TL, however I have had similar problems with Equifax being sticky and annoying as hell for trying to get collections removed, when they have 'verified'. Like you, I have had the CA themselves send me information that they are removing it and have requested EQ to as well, but EQ "has no info of this on file'. I was instructed from an EQ rep today to fax them the letter from the CA stating that they will remove it as confirmation to them. So if i were you, i'd fax them the letter they sent you requesting it be removed immediately. Do not rely on the CA saying they have instructed the bureaus to do so, because one of them in my case at least never followed through.
  20. Hey Everyone, Like a lot of people I have seen on Credit Boards, i am making my own thread to document my own journey, and hopefully receive some excellent advice from all these fine people on the board. I have made multiple threads, mostly in the Canadian section, in regards to questions that pop up, but i will try to ask them here, and hopefully someone will be kind enough to reply. (there is absolutely no action in the Canadian section!) So I began my journey to repair my HORRENDOUS credit at the beginning of july by ordering hard copies of my report. (Canada only has TU and EQ). My starting score was 483. (I KNOW ). On Equifax I have the Following: 2 Charge off CC's combined worth less than $2k, (OC only reporting, but 3rd party CA trying to collect.) 1 Collection $3,723.00 (Negotiated PFD, paid but Equifax being very sticky about removing it after 3 contacts from myself and CA) Numerous 60,90 day lates on Student Loan On Transunion I have the Following: 2 Charge Off CC's (Same as Equifax reporting) 1 Collection $231 (Not mine, have disputed Aug 7,2014) Numerous 60,90 Day lates on Student Loan For the last 2 months I have been removing all old addresses associated with the CO's (One is still in investigation by TU). I Have also been trying to get my Alias removed on both files since i legally changed the spelling of my first name. I was hoping this would help my quest in disputing the CO's when i get to them soon. I have paid one collection and am fighting to actually get it removed, after multiple attempts by the CA and myself, EQ keeps claiming they have not recieved anything. I have signed up for credit monitoring and have also been approved for a secured card which i will put a $500 deposit with People's Trust. I have been added as an AU to my SO's CAP1 credit card, but in Canada its much harder for them to report (but im crossing my fingers they will. Cap1 says they give the info to the bureaus and it's up to them to report it or not?) I am in the process of Rehabing my student loan. Right now i have to be patient and wait for investigations to close and things to be removed, but it is SO HARD. Could I be doing something else in the mean time?
  21. Update: I spoke to a Capital One Live chatter who just told me: "We report the account data to the credit bureaus, and they decide how to use it. Each bureau may use the information differently." Does anyone know how Equifax/Transunion Canada reports AU's then?
  22. Hey everyone! There doesn't seem to be too much discussion in the Canadian section but I was hoping some of you might have the answer to Authorized Users in Canada and if they report. Someone told me on Reddit that they think no credit cards in Canada report, but they aren't sure. Can someone comment on experience if they have, or list the ones that for sure do not? Capital One Canada states in its FAQ section that they do NOT report, which is a bummer to me. The US partners do.
  23. Hey you guys! I thought i'd pass this information along that i got for Canadians who haven't heard. It's calledhttp://greatcanadianrebates.ca and if you buy a wide variety of things on popular sites anyway, for example: Ebay, amazon, trips, sears, etc then they give you cash back rebates for using their link that they get a commision on. Why i decided to share with my fellow Canadians who haven't heard of it here, is because they have really awesome cash back deals if you sign up for certain credit cards! MY boyfriend is looking at applying for the Cap1 aspire travel world MC and right now they have a $75 cash back on it. It's free to sign up too, and they actually give you 2$ in your account. You can either get paid monthly by amazon gift card, pay pal or wait for a big cheque. If you like it and sign up it asks for an email if you got referred. PM me if you want and i can give you mine.
  24. so Amex runs credit checks on AU is what you are saying? Any reason? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk LOL I feel like they were like 'are you suuurrrreeeee?' very good to know and thanks Remo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
