  1. Last post as I no longer have expectations of positive change here. Thanks to all the contributors who fielded questions and furthered the discussion. I will be pursuing other venues for my continued growth in the credit game. I can be found (temporarily) on DDF and/or FT and my user name + gmail is how to reach me.
  2. Agreed, insert the inevitable discussion of a long term replacement / rebuilding -RomoShaping up to be a disappointing year.
  3. 2-0 Division games....win the battle, lose the war? Romo out.
  4. "Dude, it's called manufactured spending. You can read all about it on CB, FlyerTalk, Fat Wallet etc. " I like to keep some stuff on the down-low when I call corporate, duh!
  5. Right, but what of Slate appealed to you? The only benefit to Slate are balance transfers and if you get a credit limit too low it becomes useless for even that. Oh you cads! Beanos sig specifically says no meanies
  6. "Hi...Walgreens CEO? Hi, yeah, is it true that when purchasing VGC in your stores with credit cards there is a limit? I'm trying to max out my Discover /Apple Pay free money by buying gift cards and then recycling them to pay my credit card bill...Sure, I'll hold....what do you mean VGC's are cash only at all Wagreens as of today"? click....beep beep beep
  7. I say go higher, the money saved on printing/mailing/chipping etc. Also make it paperless documents only, app only customer support (cheaper) Even room in there for nice sign up bonus. Don't know the fee structure for NFC swipes vs physical but Amex has commanded a premium swipe fee all along, I could see it being very beneficial to Amex through expansion and customers for the rewards.
  8. Pretty much will be the same as Apple Pay, (in the U.S. at least) it's more about what stores have adopted the tech to accept these types of transactions. The more the better so I look forward to further expansion as Apple/Android/Samsung etc all push it forward. Makes you wonder if the day will come when banks won't even issue physical cards anymore, just virtual cards that you can download into your smartphone and activate instantly. That may be the norm in another 10 or 20 years. It would definately be a money saver for them. Just need one bold CC company to launch a card exclusive to virtual/NFC with an enticing reward structure to get people on board.
  9. Unfortunately a lot of stores have been forced by regulation into wasting money on useless chip readers instead of NFC tech.

  11. Change log Added Row E - This row auto-calculates your utilization percentages per card and total utilization across all cards. Delete Rows O,P,Q,R,S Notes becomes the new O Current config looks like this. No further changes (by me) Reminder: Make a copy allows you to edit your own copy.
