  1. If they have iPhones, you can block the numbers directly from the phone. If any other type of phone just call the phone carrier and have the number blocked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That is the reason I have debating on doing anything with this negative to begin with. I applied for a mortgage a few months ago and was told it would have to be paid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And my SOL is 6 years. My opinion is if I wait 6 years I might as well wait another year and save myself the $2500. That's why I have the money set aside in case I choose to negotiate, and they would rather just sue, then I can just pay it in full and not go through the courts. I'm just not sure if any of it is even worth the hassle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If I was able to obtain a settlement would a "paid" or "settled" would it be better for my credit rating than it is at this point? (Constantly updating) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm looking for some advice on how to approach one of my negatives on my credit reports.. This particular negative only reports on TU and EQ. It was an installment loan through a local bank in my town. Per my Transunion Report (same info on EQ): Date opened: 6/20/2011 Date closed: 2/15/2012 Date updated: 10/31/2016 Past Due: $2,497 Marked as unpaid balance charged off The reason I'm considering doing anything with this is because I believe I'm taking a huge hit on my credit scores with it being updated practically every single month. (I've been watching and they are pretty religious about updating it monthly.) My options are: 1. Pay the entire past due and have a "paid" status on my report 2. Try to settle and have a "paid" or "settled" remark on my report 3. Just leave it alone since it will fall off 7/2018 4. Highly unlikely but try PFD I am at a point where I have been looking at buying a home so I can stop renting. I am not, however, on any kind of time crunch so waiting until 7/2018 could be okay but not necessarily preferable. I have the money to pay the entire amount but $2500 is quiet a bit to me financially. Also note I have not attempted any contact with the bank yet..just considering options at this time.
  6. Where did you get the scores? Not to bash your idea but if those are your true FICO scores I wouldn't even bother with capital one. Plenty of other cards out there with better reward structures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Cards with no annual fee- keep and use often enough to keep it active Cards with annual fee- downgrade to a card wth no annual fee. Use enough to keep active. Re-evaluate strategy often to ensure maximum benefits/profit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I was just looking through my Amex "small business" deals and realized a collection agency in my town is on the list. Seems funny to pay a CA and receive points for it [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just for data.. Opened Amex Everyday 8/15/16 with a 10k starting credit limit On 11/16/16 requested a CLI to 25k. Counteroffer of 12k. No 4506-T requested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. After opting out the next step is to get paper copies of your reports. http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDEBOOK.html The site says "To order, visit annualcreditreport.com, or call 1-877-322-8228" Am I understanding correctly you can use your free annual reports to start this process? I've been reading here off and on for a long time and I seem to faintly remember reading you cant use the free reports, its has to be the paid ones (something to do with account numbers ?? cant exactly recall) Just want to be sure. Thanks in advance.
  11. Opened 9/4 at 5,500 11/11 5,500-->6,000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Congratulations! Keep up the good work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Does the C$R and CSP have the same credit bracket? I've read you need basically a shimmering credit report to be approved for the C$R. If they are pretty stiff on those two, are there any other chase cards you would recommend? I currently have the freedom unlimited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I cant combine because the platinum is secured. the secured plat is about 7 yrs i believe.. cli requested today, denied, too early (5 months instead of 6, had my dates wrong) Chase-4k Amex-10k Disc-6k
