  1. It might re-appear from another CA. You can't be sued for it, but they can report it until Nov. 2016 (though some CRAs delete a few months early). Interesting. I always thought once a baddie is removed it couldn't be put back on your report.
  2. I'll be tracking to see if they do reappear on my reports. DOFD was Nov 2009
  3. Same thing happened to me with Convergent Outsourcing / T-Mobile. I sent a DV letter as well as challenged the SOL which I believe is 4 years in my state (MD). The debt was removed from my reports but I received a copy of the final bill from T-Mobile as well as a letter from Convergent saying they will respond to my dispute within 30 days. Again, when I checked my reports, the dispute status was listed as resolved and the debt was already removed. AT this stage can they re-age it?
  4. Understood! Thank you Tmcgill! I will post the results when I can
  5. Im not sure if it has been reported to Chexsystems. They were overdraft fees from Autopays that didnt go through
  6. It hasnt reported to my credit report yet. I received the notice last week. Also, should I include these bullet points in DV letter? What the money you say I owe is for; Copies of all statements from the date account was opened until default; Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe; Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe; A copy of the contract Associated Credit Services Inc purchased the alleged debt. If the alleged debt was purchased, provide a copy of an agreement between Associated Credit Services and myself, signed by me, stating that I have a contractual responsibility to Associated Credit Services for the alleged debt. Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable; Identify the original creditor; Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account; Show me that you are licensed to collect in my state; and Provide me with your license numbers and Registered Agent.
  7. Thx, I will send a DV immediately. I'll lookup a DV/FOAD combo letter.
  8. I'm in MD. The acct was closed May 2014
  9. I just received a letter from Associated Credit Services fregarding a debt I had with SunTrust Bank. When I lost my job a few years ago, I had some autopays that resulted in fees since my account didnt have the funds. Suntrust closed my account soon after. I went to them directly to arrange payment. I was told I couldnt pay the teller directly since technically my account was closed. What they did was take my payment and mail it off to their collections dept. I made 3 payments of $60 towards an outstandinding balance of $372. Long story short, I couldnt continue payments. Yesterday I get this letter from Associated saying I have 30 days to dispute/respond etc. Balance owed was the same $372. Should I contact SunTrust directly to pay them or send PFD letter to Associated? Or should I first dispute the amount owed? Thanks in Advance
  10. Hello All, I've been a fan of this site for a few months now. Used a lot of the advice in here to get some baddies removed from my CR. I recently (yesterday) had two medical collection accounts hit my CR. Dropped my score 49 pts. I also have an older medical account listed which is abt a yr old. These stem from ER visits from my son which I know for a fact should have been covered by insurance. I spoke with the OC regarding the two new collection accounts. He verified that the ins info was never passed along from the hospital and he is correcting account. He also said he would contact Universal Collections. Should I use Whychats methods for all 3 derogatories? Thanks in advance!!!
